What is there a hidden picture of the "h" in there somewhere?

You might be, but it's secret for a reason!

I’ve got a line on a S&W 586 with an 8” barrel. 357 mag. Kind of want a wheel gun.
Any reason I shouldn’t...
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Would prefer a Python in .357, but since its there, go for it

Happens to come with a 422 also. Have less need for 22 but heck no such thing as too many guns...

There are lots of forums on S&W. Depending on the “-“ some were more collectible and of better quality. Been a while since I reviewed all that but I have a 629 stainless 44 with 6 inch barrel and a 686 .357 with 7 shot cylinder and 4 inch barrel

If it has the built in lock in the frame I would pass. That’s all I remember.

My next wheel gun is going to be the .500 with 4 inch barrel. For when I come visit you in bear country....

It’s a 586-1 and has been back for whatever the recall was.
Six round cylinder.

Buddy has a 460 performance Center variant.
454 casul or 45 long colt.
Genuine hand cannon.

Good call on the wheel gun then Sam. I’ve shot the 454 casul but the ballistics of the X frame pistols are in a different league. The 460 is almost rifle like in its velocity with a moderately heavy projectile.  The 500 on the other hand is not as fast but it’s like a sledgehammer with some projectiles available that are as large as 700 grain hard cast.  Bone crushing sectional density on large bears.
