Koa in Indianapolis Indiana. Can't believe how big the sites are here. Every other KOA has had us shoved in like sardines.

Yesterday only got in about 5 miles walking with the students. They did an amazing job sharing their faith with people in the park.

In other news my step-grand daughter ran away from home late last night, she is 13. The county sheriff found her sitting in the middle of the road about a mile away from the house. She is the one that has reactive attachment disorder but because of her age the therapist won't state that she has it for the record so she can't get the help she needs. When she was returned home they called the new mental health hot line and the therapist that answered was a therapist that the granddaughter had the last time she was at an inpatient center. The therapist called her out on a bunch of stuff she was saying because she remembered her. Even in that God's hand was there.

Well part way.

Flight one in the books and uneventful.

Flight two will tell the tale.
Here’s hoping for on time and uneventful.
Then a sleep and a ship and 700 odd miles home tomorrow.

I had bad service when we were downtown Cincinnati and didn't get messages. But I got Don's number now. I will be back around Christmas time. We can plan a meet up then.

My daughter snapped the pic as I was in process hooking up. It does have clearance and running lights. We prepped it for the trip 2 days prior, shop has 50 amp rv plug right inside overhead door.

Yea, I was expecting a late afternoon meet up. When I came in after working on my truck, I saw the message where you were leaving the aquarium after 2pm. Solid miss...
I hadn't eaten and was looking forward to one of those big burgers and joining in with your family. I ended up heating up a frozen pizza. Kat is down with our daughter who just had a baby a couple days ago.

I’d call rdc fab, they make traction bars for them. Maybe they have a lower mount only you can buy.

Got a couple local, just haven't gone to check them out. Sure they have em, but the prices are getting stupid there. They tried to charge me 2 bucks a lug nut when I bought spacers sometime back. I said I can buy them new for $1 and left em on the counter.

Well we’re home.
Flights went without a hitch.
Picked up dogs and shopped yestertag.
Back was angry so we stayed one more day.
Quick zip home today. Sub 11 hours right around 740 miles.

Was a whirlwind trip and man it sure gets dark early south of 60*.
Other than around the bottom of Greenland we were not of 60 the whole time.
I was not aware Iceland was that far north.
We never really got dark the whole trip.

We didn’t go see the volcano, needed one more day or the helicopter tour to pull through.
We were on the next hop but it didn’t come that last night.

Iceland…amazing.
No crime to speak of.
No garbage laying anywhere.
Just beautiful everywhere.

Greenland much the same.
Just less people again.

Seen some really cool sites.
May need to go back
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Wife is staying at hospital for a night or two for a knee replacement. All the plants and shrubs that need water and anti deer spray take a long time. Her little dog is lost without her. Need to walk her yet too and make her special breakfast.

Had to upgrade the switch in the main house to add more POE cameras.

A lot of my gear is older 24V passive and it’s hard to find a switch that will let you program 24V passive or POE+

Now to wire up 5 more cameras.

Still in west glacier mt with our 2022 Keystone Alpine 4 seasons fifth wheel rv, shower grey tank appears to be full according to guage which has went from at least 2/3rds full a couple days ago to full as of late yesterday. I can get a small amount to come out when I pull dump handle (cable actuated). However not near what I would think should be coming out. I’ve back flushed it (clear 90 fitting with hose fitting and check valve built in) with really no help and run a flat wire snake up it with valve handle open if it is open?

If it is in fact full (no water in shower drain / pan yet) then my thought is a plug was left in the tank from cutting out holes during manufacture and it’s plugged up. Or the valve isn’t working maybe….

I pulled rear under belly down and had wife run dump handle. Cable is moving but due to design can’t tell if slide is moving. Then there are two wires unhooked right below valve. No schematics or wiring or plumbing available. I’m thinking these wires might be unhooked from a tank sensor or left unhooked? Maybe allowing tank to read full?

Wife will take shower first tonight, have her watch drain. Thinking my only option if it is full is to pull the valve. Considered buying sump pump but don’t think I can get hose in shower drain….

Darned one piece underbelly makes it difficult.

Edit: also have considered vent valve under bathroom sink installed backwards but unsure how to check that….

Negative Don. At the ranch.  I have two 24 Port switches. Most of the gear is in the guest house closet but with all the cameras on the main house and other stuff connected like the generator and WiFi acces points I needed a second.

I have a 24 port for the Houston house and plan is to VPN tunnel the cameras from Houston to the ranch

Shawn my bet is the sensor is off. Open the valve and run the shower and see if water comes out. Some campgrounds even allow grey water to be discharged on the ground

I just got a hub to get the kids direct wired, but should have bought a 8 port vs a 4 which is filled now.

TRN, my calble coming in is split with one for phone, other for data and plugging the data line into the hub does not work. So it goes to the router-hub-then out to other things.

Shawn, if the tank was left half empty it may have dried out and may take a few cycles to clean out (don't ask how I know)

Any good sites to explain this? Is cat 6 that much better like supplying power to cameras?

Hey, a 37 inch tire just rolled by, going to try and catch it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Cat6 is 23ga whereas cat5/5e is 24ga. Less voltage drop over a larger conductor.

JR not sure what set up you have but I have essentially 100mb DSL.  4 copper wires to a box then a rj11 connection to  splitter/filter that has an rj11 for the phone side and a rj45 for the data side.  That rj45 data side goes to the gateway and then from the gateway you run rj45 out to the switch.

Cat 6 is a better cable but both work. I have a mixture of the two. The new POE standards at 48v is much more forgiving. Really
Nothing to worry about if you are running less than 300 ft.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

If the labels on handle are correct and I believe they are it’s the black tank on drivers side comes across as a 3” to where 3” grey shower  kicks in then the 1.5” sink grey tank kicks in right before the exit passenger side. I’ve had the flat metal sewer snake all the way to the black valve I believe

I did some truck things today

Boss man didn’t want me to waste my time as he wants to custom  paint the thing this winter ( I doubt it will happen). I don’t like dingy crap so I started in on it on my own time

Also built the start of a wheel polishing stand also.

Just need to find a wheel hub I can weld to the plate, then I have a three jaw chuck coming also to weld onto the wheel hub so I can open the jaws to hold the wheel and let it freewheel as needed to polish
Should be able to hold loaded semi wheels easy enough for sanding and polishing. Side business money to support my tool addiction

Also got a vin # on my new truck but again GM has a chip issue so I’m waiting at the moment

Slight update: Charles may be correct, both took showers last evening w/o issue and water still isn’t up in drain. We pull up shop tomorrow and drive to St Regis for 3 nights (sw Montana) so I’ll dump everything tomorrow morning if no issues tonight w/showers…..

Receiving first offer on our home today it sounds like. Part of this trip is checking out different areas of western Montana for land purchase.

Dave, I have several old good hubs. Was going to use for a HD engine stand, but I can give up one. You might be able to find local less than me shipping though.

I have an old one also. What I’m think is this old one will not roll as smooth as I want it to.  Debating on just buying a new 6 lug trailer hub and using it. They aren’t very much considering.

My conclusion on the rv tank is Charles is right. Guage is fubar, I dumped both grey tanks this morning. Two things, first shower doesn’t use that much water and the drain pipe is twice the size of sink drain. So I’m not getting g near the woosh factor from shower as the sink. However, quite a bit came out from shower drain today so chalking it up to guage that still reads full.

Edit: & I was wrong……. Knuckleheads have the handles for the grey and black switched! I had not been dumping the black (what I was thinking anyhow) as it was only showing 1/3rd full. So all the tanks are empty now. Pulled the handle labeled black and it rushed out of there. Must have been at darn near capacity.

When draining I normally put water down the toilet and that is the farthest tank out.
