I came close on the P90 but the stupid amount of money the extra mags cost turned me off. Now I'm into standardization it's more of a potential novelty.

I'd shoot for 13 psi at the lift pump with new filters if you have one on the factory filter head. Should get you close to 12 at the cp3. Lbzs are not as sensitive to over pressure like the LB7 from what I've heard.

Iirc there was some trouble finding the original higher powered rounds. Something about them being so fast and so small they would defeat soft armor. The bull pup 5.7 I shot held a silly amount of ammo in that top mounted mag too. But ammo ain't cheap or really barter worthy

Love me some shotgun but never thought about bayonet I'm very (VERY) invested in the 870 platform.  I wonder if there is a bayonet mount for the 870

So I can't seem to find the post where I asked this question.

In my AAM 11.5 on the 2001 LB7, I want to add a locker.  Wheel bearings are new, seals new, gears are fine.

I thought Tater said I could replace the chunk without going through a complete lash and set up.

What would I have to do to replace the gov bomb with a yukon grizzly?

Share Your Recipe / Pork Rub
« on: September 28, 2016, 08:10:46 PM »
Someone somewhere when I posted a picture of a pork butt being smoked asked for the recipie so here it goes.  I watched Triple D on food network and Guy Fieri visited a BBQ joint that used these ingredients.  He didn't go into measurements so I eyeballed it and came up with this.

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup paprika
1/4 cup garlic powder
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup cayenne pepper
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup cumin
1/4 cup onion powder
1/4 cup salt ( I don't actually use this as I salt 5-10 hours before applying the rub as salt is the only spice that penetrates)
TBS allspice
TBS poultry seasoning
TBS cinnamon
TBS nutmeg

I apply liberally and then spritz with apple juice several times throughout the cooking process.  Smoke until 165 internal temp and then crutch with foil and then between 195-205 its done when the bone pulls out smoothly and cleanly from the butt.

Jewell triggers need to be kept clean??  I've run several competitions and training classes with my GAP with Jewell and I've never had to treat it any different.  I wouldnt over think it.  If you are going to put a new stock on it, go ahead and glass bed it.

Thanks Ken. That's also a good measure of when to change filters.  Note pressure when filters are new and then monitor for pressure drop.

I use a fitting designed to go in the bleeder screw on the filter head. It tells me the most accurate pressure from the LP right before it hits the CP3

I CC a 23 and a 30, just depends on the day and the mood.  I don't worry much about printing with open carry having been passed.  Come to think of it, never did before that either.  I've CCd a 21 and 20 too.

I think some of the feedback would depend on what you normally wear.  If you wear a suit...different story than jeans and big Hawaiian shirt.  I carry the stock 10 round mag in the 30 to reduce signature, and then a 21 mag with an Arredondo extension for 16 back up rounds.

As Shawn said, you are on the right track with the Glock.  What ever you decide, get range time in drawing from concealment....and don't shoot your toe.

Sorry Bobby. The  family pronounced this one the best yet. New rub I imitated from Triple D and a vinegar sauce I made up. Cider vinegar, black pepper, cayenne, hot sauce, garlic powder , ketchup, mustard, paprika, salt, brown sugar

So update. Changing the filters on the AD was the fix for the no start. Apparently something was allowing the fuel to drain back. At least now I have a filter head and can manually prime if needed.

Today I installed some cheap LED lights in the bumper for backup lights.

Taped off marked it cut it with cut off wheel on mini grinder drilled holes spliced wires.

I would totally freak if I were faced with that pile of parts and told to reassemble.  If I were to commission another build I'd request all new solenoids and a new internal harness and switch manifold just to be on the safe side. I had a C solenoid go bad a year after I had mine built which could have been disastrous had I not been 1/2 mile from home

I do have to say I was happy to see Charlotte form a skirmish line and March , using rubber bullets and flash bangs.

I too believe they should roll the water cannon and drive them into the waiting arms of the riot squad at the end of the next block to lock them up.
