Looks  like that flaming pot ought to be sitting on a rampart overlooking an attacking mongrel horde!

Hey Jon, any of those have the weight dist mount on the tongues still? I got a hitch and bars cheap, but no mount for the tongue.
I think there might be. I will have to look next time Im at my partners place. He might have some laying around. DO you need the one with the chains?
Please!! Trailer is drilled for them too. I just have the arms and hitch.

The only ones I found are these. On a really old trailer.

Not a run, a 20mi ruck with the charity that I support. I can PM you the page if you'd like.

JR, I am not understanding what you need for the trailer hitch setup. Is it the snap up brackets for the chains on the bars, the dual cams for the Reese hitch system, or just what is it you need? I have a few parts for hitches in the garage from over the years.

Today is our 9th anniversary. Wife is away visiting Family in Kentucky. Even tho shes gone it was a happy day. We talked on the phone. Got a trucking job that will bring in some good income for the farm. Getting ready for 4th of July camping with my brothers family and my cousins Family. It was really a pretty good day.

But then I just got word that my Grand Pa passed way this evening. He is back with Grandma now.

And found this little guy in the fenced front garden. he didn't seem to mind the fence much.

I have a recipe for that....jus sayin

So today I did some drivers ed and then painted and installed the railing in the casita and adjusted the sliding shower door so it would stay closed easier.

And now I’m about to go out and get started on a long overdue project to install that Grizzly locker in the Bus....

I’m teaching my second one to drive manual as her mustang is stick. Should get her license in a little under two months. Keeps dropping clutch........

Then my youngest gets her learners permit about a week later after middle one gets license. Oh so close.

Well, As usual, I think I don't have all the stuff I need to finish the project.  I measured backlash best I could, and I continually get about 5 thou although that seems tight per the specs on line.  But all the stuff in there looks good and it has 180+k miles on it.

I need a thread chaser for the bolts and holes in the ring gear to get all the threadlocker out and I need to dig out my bearing install cups and see if I have the right size

aaaannnnd my jack on the 20t HF press is busted....

So. I had to clean all the old thread locked off the old threads and my Hf press had a bad jack. So a long trip to HF and got an air over hydraulic 20 ton jack and a bench grinder with a wire wheel.

Fought the ring for a while until I remembered to stick the ring hear in the oven. Then how to torque....

Pressed the carrier between two plates on the press and voila.  Easy peazy.

So got it cleaned and back in place and now I just need to adjust the side load on the carrier (?? Not sure how) and then set the backlash.

It’s at about 3 thou at the moment so I’ll have to move it a hair once I get the side load figured out.

No, always use new bolts. Originals could have stretched. Other thing here is that on certain axles the bolts provided in the Yukon kits are a universal size. What I mean by this is that on certain carrier applications you can use a larger head bolt. However, Yukon kit will send you the one that fits most applications. Not knocking Yukon just telling you how it is, Yukon is a business and building kits to fit most applications makes business sense. Ford 9” install kit comes to mind, I sourced larger head bolts from another supplier.

Pay attention to the back lash.

I want to say it is most important. Tate would have authorization to stomp all over what I said, but from my experience, BL is the most important for long life.

You will notice some driveline "Slop" for lack of a better term with the Grizzly. It is normal. Also when that thing lets go...for no reason...while you're driving, it will really get your attention. I wouldn't say it sounds any different than some big expensive part breaking, but, again, that's all normal for lockers...And this griz is better than the Detroit lockers which are scary sometimes.

In the end, no better differential for a working truck made! This one is the very best.

Jon and Sean, need to check my setup, 2500 miles away right now.

Going to ask about giving up my seat on the flight back(orlado).  Get a late flight sat and go watch nascar at Daytona. Heck less than an hour away, rent a car lots of tickets online stilll.

Now I’m completely freaked out about the bolts and I may regret it but I’m going to power forward and trust it will hold together or by the time it doesn’t I’ll have a 12v project completed and this one can sit in the shop a while.

I just changed the oil and filter in the wife’s van and cabin filter and air filter and had the tires balanced and rotated at discount this morning.

First time I’d ever been first to arrive at discount tire. Small town shops are not nearly as busy as the ones in Houston. I was in and out in 25 minutes.

Well. Took it for a 20 mile drive. No catastrophic failure and no unusual gear whine. Accelerating  or coasting. If anything it seems quieter.

And yes it is aggressive. Chirps the inside tire on tight turns.

Put the trac bars back on. Just in case. ;-)

About to make the 135 mile trip home.

Made the trip hauling the empty 20ft trailer.  Ran fine at 75-80.  Trac bars are a bit noisy under braking since i had them loaded for acceleration.  I remember why I took them off.  But I can get on it now with out axle wrap.  Will likely get shackle flip brackets soon and maybe retire the bars

Home from Dworld. Taxing "vacation" with everyone going at everyone the whole trip. I got so fed up I sat out the last day in the hotel (yep, that bad).

So back to reality now, Daytona didn't work out and the youngest wanted to go too which would have been great.

We did the Disney world experience once when girls were little. It was a few days added onto our annual HHI trip. DW was stressful and not that much fun imo, I refused to ever do it again.....

Same,    I don’t do well in crowds, add heat and fighting kids.      We will take the twin one time when they are old enough to roam free and we can sit somewhere in the shade

Crowds were OK, heat with humidity made it no fun. Some great rides (pandora) and mostly the kids had fun when I wasn't the bad guy. Not worth 7K for sure though.

Got my sights on a 2010 Polaris now. More power, setup better and just 1 hour away. (cheaper too)

Main thing this week is getting the permit for my land and then scouts all next week.

Laid a great man to rest yesterday. My Grandpa. WWII vet. Served in France, Panama and Philippines. He told me not long ago that when the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, he was on a plane in route to Japan. If the bomb failed they were to invade Japan. The bomb worked so they were diverted to the Philippines.
He was a hard worker and had a great deal of influence on everyone around him.
Its been rough with my wife in Kentucky visiting family then hearing that her aunt was on her death bed. She's on her way home now.

Sorry for your loss Jon, wife coming home is better news though I’m sure.

So today started early, had to have middle daughter to her barista job at 6:50. Since it’s been hot decided I would try to get rest of tile in back yard placed so I could unload pea gravel from trailer. After dropping said daughter off I headed to HD to get patio blocks for under small 5’ sq outside kennel. Picked those up and headed home to find out said 10.5 year old red dog is sick. Puking and diarrhea with blood coming out rear end. Took her to er vet and three hours later left with fluids and meds after paying 350 for services. She seems to be doing better but I held off on rear yard in direct heat/sun and used patio stones as vase for outside trash container holder the commies in the his require us to use if we do t want trash stinking up garage all summer.

Replacing the electric door lock in the camry. I need another joint and smaller hands. Down to the last clip where I need 3 hands.

Not sure how smoking a fatty will make your hands smaller.

Has the earthquake situation improved for ya?
Or did it miss you?
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

^^ rofl.  You gonna eat that hot dog, man?
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Just got a call from the boss, meet me @ the insta care.  One of the framers took a long fall.

Not one bit mad that I no longer walk walls, trusses, floor joist.

I have had a few falls that are still smarts.

Quakes were 450 miles south of me. No issues here, not even on the main fault line. Funny, I was flying into LA during the 87, this time in Florida and flying to AZ when they hit.

Ken, what the blank is that little black plastic rubber thingy in the lock kit? Found one of them in the door when I took it apart, now I have 2. Door will not lock with the remote, but all else works,,,,,,,,,,,
