I let Zane drive the snowmobile by himself today. He is 8 and he's feeling pretty big right now. I seen how good he was doing so I put his little brother on behind him.

Looks like a hoot, been 50 years since I have been on one!

Got that Camry 1/2 torn down. It is the timing belt and a none interference engine. Good time to address the oil leak in that area.

She wants to drive the el camino, not yet,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Is it legal to post something like that and not give the back story?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I was using the weed burner to burn weeds in the walk way and some of the pine needles in the flower beds were burning. The burned up near the porch where the cooler was sitting.  I turned around and poof! It was up in flames from just a small pine needle flame

JR, they can take out the valves in the right condition... like down highway at high rpms. I've had 4 of those and the first one ('97) busted like that, on my daughter also. When they snap on start up they tend to not bend them.
Not sure who came up with the"non interference" list, but I've seen some other brands do that also.
.. I'd use an Aisan water pump if you don't want to do it again in 20k miles.

Looks like a mid 90’s formula.
I had a ‘96 Formula 3 back in the day. Crazy was the word for it. Triple tuned pipes into a can.
It just san so nice. 600cc 129? Hp stock. Was an animal of its day.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Box of gun parts waiting for me on the porch when I got home.  So the question that begs to be asked is will there be a range report or an update on Don's bumpers tonight?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here’s the rub

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup Paprika
1/4 cup garlic powder
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup cayenne pepper
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup cumin
1/4 cup onion powder
1/4 cup salt
1 Tablespoon allspice
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon nutmeg

Although I don't put salt in my rubs anymore. I salt an hour or so before seasoning

Unfortunately it is going to have to wait for now.  Got a mini vacation planned with the wife for this weekend.  I want to get Don's bumper's wrapped up before then so there won't be anytime for gun play this week.  If all goes as planned, I should have it ready to shoot and then test it out on the long range for next week's Monday Rifle League night.

Witnessed something that I thought was pretty cool this weekend.  My cousin and his 13 yr old son were in the area for wrestling tournament Saturday.  They are in Idaho and we generally only get to see them every couple of years.  My dad, uncle and I meet up and drive over to watch him wrestle and visit.  We were standing mat side when they start playing the National Anthem.  As is usual for the majority of the youth sporting events the PA system is garbage.  It took a bit for us to realize what was being played through the speakers.  The volume was so low it was barely audible, and that was only when there wasn't feedback screeching through the system.  I think it was the worst attempt at The Start Spangled Banner I have ever heard, and I've attended my share of events and heard some pretty bad ones.  At about the second line in, some guy in the crown in front of me must have got fed up and just started belting it out.  I'm certain this man must have had some sort of vocal training or experience.  His voice easily carried through the venue of probably 2,000+ people in a space that was large enough to lay 18 full size wrestling mats down.  For reference it is a tight fit to squeeze 3 mats into a standard high school gymnasium.  By the fourth line they had shut off the PA system and just let this man in the crowd finish.

Now I like hearing that

Americans by and large are patriotic.

I am slowly coming to realize that some very smart and devious people are manipulating the truth about where we are headed as a nation, in some very sophisticated ways.

The data is being massaged by sophisticated algorithms in the public spaces.

If you google or You tube search something like a patriotic subject. you will come up with a couple pages all of references to MSNBC, or CNN, or other openly liberal rags. The average hit on page one or two will have 50,000-60,000 hits, but it is page one. Then on page three is a piece by fox news on Donald Trump with 6.5 million views!!!!!!!!!

Check it out for yourself and see just how many pro LBGT, Socialist, Communist, pro Islam, and so forth articles post ahead of the hits favoring a rightist agenda that have 10 or 100 times as many views.

There is coming a time when the silent majority is going to take a stand, and the commies are going to read about it in the history books!

Aside from the people, enjoy the warmth. It’s low 40s at our house, your area is only a bit better from what the grapevine told me.

But I suppose I shouldn’t fuss about 40s cause lots have teens and single digits.

The people is the freaking problem! It took a non English speaking (Ukrainian possibly) Uber over an hour to get from the airport to the hotel, 24 miles away. And 80's with high 70's humidity sucks also!

The Camry saga,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Probably took me 8 hours in all. In the street and looking for tools was some of it. How can half you sockets go missing? Promised I would have it done today. Didn't get on it until about 1300, little bug bit me, but I promised. Well right at 1130 I fired it up. Purred like a kitten, then I see it. Oil dripping solidly from the back of the oil pump which I didn't touch. Now it had a small oil leak, so I replaced the cam and crank seals. Hopping I just fudged the camshaft seal but I think the pump seal is gone. Doing some research I see this is an issue sometimes, wish I had done it when it was apart.

Finally got bagpipes. If UK Customs would’ve have dorked up the paperwork twice we would’ve had them a month ago. These are hand made in Scotland and are a custom 343 firefighter set made in collaboration with a band called The Red Hot Chili Pipers. Part of the revenue from every set goes to the Fallen Firefighter Fund and the final set, labeled 343 will be auctioned with the entire proceeds going to the same charity.

Sorry folks the state of Nebraska is closed. Severe flooding all over the east. Blizzard in the west. School was cancelled at noon yesterday. No buses. I was over in Iowa getting some cattle. Its just as bad over there. This is the only road to town that is not flooded. This is the good part. Wife was too busy hanging on to take pictures of the bad. All the towns have flood gates up. We can get in the back way on this road if there is an emergency and have to get to the hospital. My brothers daughter has been in and out of the hospital the last few days with the flu. I guess we will just hunker down here and wait.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

the first picture shows a tiny tiny little creek that is now 25-30 feet deep.

the second picture was taken yesterday at about 3pm....as of Monday evening (about7-8pm) everything in this picture was still under 2+ feet of snow, and the little pile that's left in the picture was over 4 feet in height. (edit-as of this morning, that pile is gone)

the third picture is about 10 miles east of me in whaoo, ne.

heres the reality of all this flooding we are getting in eastern NE.  as of 3 days ago, there was roughly 50 inches of snow sitting on frozen ground with close to single digit temps, and then here comes 40-50 deg temps and anywhere from .5 - 2" inches of rain.

all of that rain melting all of that snow on top of frozen ground has no where to go...….

and norm is getting hit with both rain and snow right now, and hes an hour'ish west of me

the Dakotas are still getting hammered, they were supposed to see 12" of snow on top of the many feet they already have from this storm rolling thru right now.

Yeah, snow storm you are getting is a dusy. Colorado Gov had to call out national guard yesterday to rescue stuck motorists. Well, that or he’s just a sucker for a man in a uniform hard to tell with that guy honestly........

I'm trying to figure out how to share a video from Facebook. This dam is gone and washed out the bridge down stream. This was one my favorite fishing spots. Those of you with Facebook can look up Knox county news. The bridge is a good 75 to 100 ft off the bottom of the canyon and water was flowing over top of it.
