Just found out the BD fits in the dump trailer with 2 inches clearance at the blade. Seemed to tow ok but maxed out on weight.

By who’s opinion is it maxed out? Send it……..
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

My brain says turn it around but all the motor and weight is on the front of that.  The cage and fuel is all that’s on the back right?

When ya headed north?

I'd say it's pretty even, and turned around would tow better with weight shifted rearward. It definitely would be easier to pull it straight in.
..but I'd run the blade through the side panels trying to keep it straight, especially when it breaks over.

It weighs less than your skid steer!

Really!
Skid steer is 11,600
That new cutter head is 2,400
so
14,000 for the pair

For a long tow I would turn it around. The real weight is ahead of the axles. Guy who taught me for hauling stuff in our smaller trucks is if the rear only squats about an inch, you are GTG.

I can't load it that way. The blade barely fits... I'd have to have it perfectly centered when it breaks over, plus the engine and blade with it's frame are pretty darn heavy.
Doesn't matter really. I'll be using the gooser for the Idaho trip.

Going to close out this chapter, until the next trip, with the last thing I had to do to BD (Baby Dozer). Putting on a missing decal from the tank cleaning rodeo.
