Well with the diesel and without all the bells and whistles you can get one for about what you paid for your RAM. I get the “build it yourself” sentiment. One reason I’m so attached to the Bus. But remember, even the 2001 has a computer subject to EMP in it.
We need something completely old school in the family. Even if its just an old 4cly Jeep gasser with a spare coil and points in a 50 cal ammo can for spares.

At least it’s not 12/12!
Curious about the underlayment and how it creates a waterproof intersection with the wall given all the snow pack. # not my problem in the south.

Sorry Dave. I’ve been dark because of the Tapatalk issue. Still have the van. Just replaced motor mounts and trans mounts and added a VCM muzzled to disable the VCM.

Legal immigrants make great Americans. My best friend is an immigrant from Croatia that escaped communism under Marshal Tito in 1976
Another great friend escaped Vietnam in 1975 when his dad took him to international waters and handed him to US service men on a ship not knowing if he’d ever see him again.
Both of them love America more than most people I know.

Congrats Don. May God watch over him and may our worthless politicians not send him on a mission with his hands tied.
Despite the sissies in our leadership positions we need real men to inflict bad things on bad people from time to time.

For some reason Tapatalk is not working at all for the site and its been that way for me for a few weeks so its hard for me to find time to log on from another device.
Yesterday I tackled upper a arms on the Bus. Had an upper ball joint really bad causing it to walk all over the road on crowns. Our own Tate from Randy’s Ring and Pinion hooked me up with the ICON HD Upper A Arms. I decided since i was tearing it down I would replace the lower ball joints too. They were fine and really didnt need it but it was interesting to see the wear of 50,000 miles on them. So new lowers and the new uppers. When I rebuilt the Bus a while back everything was new and I cheaped out on the uppers, using ac/Delco OEM. I put urethane bushings in the lower and moog joints, and I wish I had spent the money on better uppers, but at least now i have poly bushings in the uppers and some really nice pieces in those ICONs.

You’d get better reception and transmission if you have it in the middle of the roof as the metal surface acts as the ground plane.
And if you put a hole there it wouldn’t be so noticeable. Or get a magnetic mount.

Tex, What product did you use? I am wanting to do mine also.
Dave’s right. That garage is for the purdy vehicles. I used that best of all products…the strokeacheck coating system. Platinum floor coatings in Houston did the grinding and 3 part system. Lifetime warranty against hot tire pick up. About 5.25/sq ft Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

nice trailer Shawn. Specs?
I would like to get a goose neck for the Bus but first I have to put new ball joints and some shiney new upper a arms that Tate has coming my way.
I wish I could get a trailer that would do it all. Car hauler , and a dump trailer and removable sides for a utility trailer..

That’s great Jon Here’s a link that will come in handy especially as you travel https://www.repeaterbook.com/index.php/en-us/Some repeaters are internet linked and you can even talk to people in other countries in your little handheld. Since comms are line of sight repeaters are often placed high on towers or buildings so you can communicate more effectively. Most of them you have shifts you have to program to be able to talk and your manual on your handheld should walk your through that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found an excuse to send money to Tate https://youtube.com/shorts/2kj-L0XgxoM?feature=shareGonna go with the ICON upper a arms and some new lower ball joints while I’m at it. If I’m tearing into it I’m doing it all. The entire suspension was replaced 75k miles ago. Moog lower joints (minor slop now) and kryptonite stage three steering and new red head box and hub bearings. Including poly urethane bushings and new torsion bars. The only part I cut corners in was the uppers by using AC Delco OEM replacements. Probably about right on a lifted truck with OEM AC Delco replacement uppers. No wonder it was walking all over the road on rutted pavement And shut up Shawn. I know you ridicule my IFS vs SA. ;-) I’m old and I like my comfortable ride. If I want a buckboard ride I’ll get an old dodge and 12V Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Made it home from Kentucky yesterday. Had a little bad weather close to home but not bad. Brought a little Kentucky wild life with us. Zane got his first Deer while we were there. He went with my wife's uncle. His only child passed away a few years ago. I think he had more fun than Zane because he had someone to pass his knowledge on to. Very good bonding time for both of them.

Man you had to go and mention the T word.
Just wrote checks for property taxes.
Cant wait to get out of the county I’m in for my primary residence. 20k for taxes in what’s becoming a war zone. By contrast the country place is $2700 with exemptions.
Crime has gotten so bad and the DA is a liberal so I’ve resorted to putting two warning shots in the 12ga. A flash bang round and a fin stabilized OC rubber bullet before the OO so they can’t say I did not warn them

Good thinking! That dog will hunt And what could the libtard DA do with that? Say you didn't sugar coat the rounds?
Probably that because I had a Wilson Combat 12 ga with LE rounds that I had some vindetta complex and was “looking for a fight”. They’ll destroy law abiding citizens in court while sympathizing with career criminals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
