Dave, I feel you pain.  Prayers sent.

My 45 year old SIL is a sponge and still lives at home with her mom and dad and won’t lift a finger to help around the house, nor with her mom who is bed ridden.

It’s a long story but my wife and I have long since agreed that no matter what she’s not living with us.

There is defiantly wisdom in living a larger distance from family than all other siblings.   Unfortunately the oldest Sib lives back east in Connecticut which means I would have to move to calf with Jr and or Hawaii

Men,
Could use some prayers for our oldest daughter Stephanie and her family. Some back store Stephanie and Corey have been married for a 1 1/2 years and Corey has a daughter Ellie(11 years old) from his 1st marriage, Ellie has been diagnosed with reactive attachment disorder (didn't bond with birth mother) birth mother was a drug addict.

Ellis has been placed in a mental health facility because she stated that she wanted to kill herself and dad and mom (she calls Stephanie mom)  she said this we believe because Stephanie and Corey found out that Ellie has molested a pair of 8 year old boys and Ellie has said to police that Stephanie and Corey have beat her until she bleed and have been pushing her head into the wall. Please pray that the 2 boys get the help they need and that this will not effect them the rest of their lives, that Ellie get the help she needs and to heal the family.

There is a spirit of molestation over this area of the ohio valley. So many cases of it out there. I pray against it often. You know, perhaps that a lot of conditions and ailments like this are spiritual driven and spiritual in nature. Of this I am sure. A father has God given authority to claim dominion over his family and cast spirits out, to block them.

I once went to the wilderness so to speak. Down to my farm for nothing but prayer for an indefinite period of time. I would read the bible, then pray, and read a book about the power we have through God through the sacrifice at the cross. It's complex and worth a study, but the truth is a righteous father who is repentant can simply channel Gods authority over the spiritual.

If your son in law is such a man, he can claim dominion over this child and pray the blood of Christ around his child. He can order spirits to depart.
But this is important
The spiritual world works on lawful right
Demons and spirits must have a legal/lawful right to exist within someone's soul. They cannot inhabit the spirit of someone who is saved, however can life in a person's soul. If that someone gave them a lawful right through their own sin, then you are kaput. If that someone is engaged in and welcomes drug abuse, or satanic worship, or similial into their lives, well, then, they own it and all you can do is bind it up in your presence. But it the spirit is there because of a generational curse, say like the mother invited the sin and spirit into her life, and that spirit simply attached itself to that mother's child, then that spirit which is driving all the hateful behavior, then that spirit has no lawful right, and a righteous man who has authority over that person, a man such as a father or a husband, then God has given him the authority to exercise God's power and cast that spirit out.

Sounds crazy, and the devil would have you believe that this spiritual stuff is all nonsense, but I stand here and tell you, that the real battle IS IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM!

I offer up a prayer to ask for protection for those who are yours during this holy time. We pause and give thought to the immense sacrifice and suffering of your son, our savior, Jesus, the Christ. He through dying a horrible human death, opened the only door to live with you through his redeeming sacrifice.

As much as we love you Father, there are those who hate you, and we, your people. Therefore I ask a prayer of protection over those who gather in their places of worship this weekend. Although hate filled evil minds would seek to harm your sheep, protect them as the good shepherd does. Give your warriors a keen eye to see the movements of the wolf who stalks. Give them no victory, but rather give us who protect the flock the victory over the evil that watches.

Protect our leaders and our president as you did David in his day, so that good would prevail over evil. Protect our nation and bind up any interests and spirits who make it anything other than a free and God loving and fearing nation. Keep us humble but strong. Give us weapons but no cause to raise them. Give us judgement and at the same time forgiveness. Set before us a banquet of those hungering for the word, and give us not meekness but the power and strength to step out boldly in your name, so that whatever we do, however we do it, that the glory is yours and not ours. I pray in the name above all names, Jesus
Amen

I am sure thankful this morning to be up, to be able to work and provide for my family and enough to help a little for another.  Thankful for this beautiful view, non like any I have ever seen before anywhere.
Glad my kids are healthy and smart and growing.
Thank you folks for friendship.  Thank you lord for yet another day.

Dave that was a great post.

Just for the record (and I’m probably going to a bad place for this) I noticed that view included a truck. It appears to be a Ford, that’s all I’m going to say...

The question you should really ask is why is it the only truck in our parking lot.   I was sitting in mine while I took the photo,, that one hasn’t ran in months

Gentlemen, it’s taken me a while to finally ask for some prayer. Our God knows my family struggles, and I ask that if you feel so called to lift my wife son and I up in prayer. We’ve got a lot going on right now with no answer to anything other than it all being difficult and no end in sight.

As I read,  I find myself simply just asking, “Lord, please, help.”

Thanks fellars.

And why we are at it

I don't consider any chance meeting, "Chance."

More like appointments set in the spiritual.

So had one of those the other day. Man is hard, but I see kindness and friendship on the inside. Talks a hard line about not believing. (Why do I always get the hard ones??)

But I show up and am just not intimidated in the least, I see past all that gruff and knows God loves this man and likely sent me to reach him. So I started chinking away at the scaly exterior.

Prayers for this man for God to open the door for the seed of his word and love to find some fertile place to land. I will (Am) delivering it, so we will see where it shakes out.

...Just have a feeling, and prayer for an anonymous never hurt anyone...

And, T, -Lifting you up.

Prayers for a brother in Christ.

I went with him to the courthouse a few days ago. We watched his home being auctioned off.

His kids don't know what's coming, going to be tough.

Trusting in God that since this door has been shut that a better one will be opened.

This Easter Sunday there is a family that nearly lost their father. He is in a medically induced coma after a farm accident. Last harvest he was having trouble with the auger plugging up so he removed the grate in the auger hopper. 2 days ago he was moving some corn. He did what we all do. Step on the hopper to clean out the truck. He forgot the grate was gone. He was alone with no cell service. He had to cut his foot off with his pocket knife and crawl to the house. He nearly bled out.  They ended up taking his leg off just below the knee.

Jon, It looks like your friend has made National news and sounds like he is going to be fine. Great to hear!

Hey guys, my better half was admitted to her hospital yesterday. We had a long 24 hours day before with two er visits and then finally admitting her yesterday afternoon. She has a 4mm kidney stone that is causing some issues as she tries to pass it. As of 1pm mst today she will be going under general anesthetic and having it removed according to her urologist. That is unless she successfully passes it first. If you could keep in your prayers it would be appreciated. I’ve been told it is every bit as painful as child birth and from her anger and doubling over in pain I am not doubting it in the least. Thanks
