Hmm, just thinking of the $$$ I will save registering in NV and no income tax.

Of course then I will be buying/fixing tractors and guns! :beercheers:

Yep, looks like from that pic it is oil in the intercooler line, not the trans.

Gotcha, just for your homes.

The leak, I would say trans cooler line form the color. They have funky plugs.

Maybe that was the entire reason for the Vegas incident? To say 1 guy did all that damage with the bumpstock, right. Now they are outlawed with no due process and no compensation.

I bet if you had to get a tax stamp they would be fine!

EFI, high temp, muggy, wet, high alt or low it will always run its best.

Before you get big injectors talk to me. I have a new take off set but I just the new intake with 5.7 so I may not need them.

Wish I had a pic of an event I did back in the 80s.

Moving a yard pig from a Bud plant to Sonoma with a broken throttle cable. I sat in the engine area with the hood wired open (555 cummins) using a vise grip on the throttle while someone else drove and a pickup blocked for us. We went almost 40 miles like that including freeway and hwy from Napa to Sonoma.

I am learning lots about the 6.2, not a bad motor really. Just not treated right by many.

What is this going in?

Bought a new intake for my elky. LS1 style with cable, same year as my 5.3. Need the hood clearance and the truck intake looks like crap.

Also added LED light to the DMax. Same as Dons, so far I really like!

Starting to look for land again. Probably be Nv, mainly for proximity so I can do things on weekends, less than 3 hours is the target.

Looking in the Garnerville area fo now, 20 acres or more is the target and not just dirt.

Still have family or some other attraction to Kali?

Yes, with kids in school for a few more years and the wife working still holds me a little. Close enough to work on or even run up for the day.

My idea is I get that foothold and feel for what I want. If it works out great, if I move on so be it when the time comes. It does not have to be NV in the long run.

Heck, if I park the TH there and call it home, no more Ca income tax!!

TRN, everything is bigger in Texas, even the tears,,,,,,,,,,,,  :beercheers:

I see them all, no problem.

I don't like torque to yield crap. You would figure with all the 6BTs out there and the builds a good aftermarket set should be available. Studs are OK, but you have to machine for fit!

Well the Camp fire is out now. I did some searching thinking of High Angle Driveline in Paradise after Shawn mentioned them.

When I was up there a year ago, we ate here, dead center of town. HAD is just NE of this on Clark and the Safeway north of it is burned out, so doubt his shop made it.

Tate, can you get the yoke kit for the 263hd for the dmax?

If he doesn’t have it I would call Jesse at high angle

Looks like good stuff, but I bet he got burned out  :embarrassed:

Power is good. I was looking at heads and they are pricey for the LS. Sounds like you got some standup sellers there.

Think I found an LS intake for my 5.3 swap in the elky, the tall intake is a problem and looks funky.

Maybe there's a quake coming Don?

Going contact the seller on that case? Should be something you can do with a long distance buy and a checkout before hand.

Nice size house there Shawn. Basement is cool but a garage is better! Will you have more room than the homes in the background?

I would do the plug boots too. Headers do like to burn wires!

How do the motor mounts look? 16 years old, that rubber may not be happy and now would be a good time with the access.

Heck, still haven't done my case. JB is holding up but I need a new rear and the front yoke kit.

26th, wow that is going to be busy!

I did a kid thing yesterday and it felt great. On the way to pickup my son from school I was merging left as the lane ends after a stoplight. As I merged, this little rice burner (car) was right on my bumper attempting to pass everyone with the lane was ending and I was the first car. He went into the bike lane to get around me and I floored it. My tune is not the best but was enough to outrun him and blew a good amount of smoke in the process. When I looked over I noticed the window down and my exhaust is about that height so it was a double play.

Better than tearing up mulch at the mall!!!

Tires, Wheels, and Suspension / Re: Cooper MTPs for the Dmax
« on: December 12, 2018, 03:30:43 PM »
Well, the MTPs are still sitting at AT waiting for the SAS. However I was going to Yosemite with the Scouts and the 1/2 treat on the old coopers were not going to cut it.

So the local Americas Tire got me a set of Maxxis Rzar 35/12.5-17 for the interm and my budget. Got em on for the trip and I really like em so far.

Great in the snow, didn't even need 4x4 until I was on some ice. They are much quieter than the cooper stt and ride smoother too.

In the long run they may end up on one of the subs, have to see.

A wheel barrel a day or 2 is not bad, but isn't it supposed to be a lot less?

Heating the entire house and hot water is good.
