OSHA doesn't approve anything.  The sure will disapprove though.  Only way to keep that from happening is be finished when they get there and not pics.

Looks great to me.

A stringer in the middle would be a good idea, too, but since they’re only temporary you should be fine.

Is this osha approved?

With some approved fall harnesses and a verifiable reason to do it that way.. who knows.

We put a winch on the drop deck semi trailer and to haul a broken down RV for someone. The winch we borrowed goes in a receiver hitch so we made one that slips in the stake pockets up front.  Found out we need bigger than a 12 ton winch. It worked but just  No pics. I broke the glass over the camera on my phone. All my pictures look like a fog.

Passed house inspection Thursday, don’t have to fix or do anything.  :likebutton:

We close on the sale of our existing home on the 28th, probably move into lease on the 26th

Moving company coming Monday to give quote on double move. Once into brand new townhome about 4 miles away we leased for six months this morning & then into new house first of June. In all reality we are only moving about a mile and half from our current home to new one when it’s all said and done.

Moved Mill to shop today, going to rent low deck trailer Tuesday for 900# steel table, compressor and tool boxes. Then just need to break down lathe & some misc steel components to move yet to shop. So close on moving shops
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

Correct, getting close on having business stuff all moved. That table has 3 inch x 3 inch 3/8 inch wall legs. Years ago I made castors that slip up inside the tube, just need a floor jack and it rolls around, not easy but it does roll. I’ll try to snag a pic when I move it.

I also bought a dewalt combo drill and impact 20v with charger and two batteries for a buck fifty today from HD with carry bag (second set to keep at home) and ordered a metabo 4.5 inch angle grinder 8.5 amp. My dewalt grinder has bearing going out and the metabo units have great reviews, German made off amazon for around $90 delivered.

I bought that same set last year before I put in the new subfloor. Bought it because it was the only one that had any parts of it made in the USA. Used it a lot and it’s been working well.

:likebutton: good deal, my set at the shop has the larger drill which has the hammer settings. Had it for 5 years or so. Only issue I have had is the chuck acts a little goofy sometimes but other then that it’s been a great setup. Problem was it’s at the shop and I’m always needing that impact around the home. Couldn’t see just buying the impact for a bill when I could get the whole shebang for fifty more with a bag.

At least NV, Id might be a little far for working on it and a might colder than I am looking for.

Looked around Garnerville a few years back but nothing really came through. Know a few people in the area to.

Would be primary in years to come. I love this state, but it is like a high end sports car, the maintenence is killing me.

The impacts gun are having a trigger issue.  The trigger gets kind of sloppy and the next thing you know the trigger pull gives zero response than I does completely.  I have a two year old one sitting and the sales rep said my new one i picked up will do the same

My 5 yr old one has no trigger issues, bummer on the newer ones.

Brushless, supposedly improved efficiency, quieter and they build less heat. Again pretty sure my old one has brushes and it gets pretty hot and is anything but quiet.

Edit: my new ones are brushless btw, I just grabbed a similiar link for pic

No issues here either. I wanted the brushless set but they were quite a bit more expensive. As someone who doesn’t use them professionally, I couldn’t justify the cost.

That’s I think one of the issues with the trigger.  Some guys reported on the web that if they switched to left hand the trigger worked again.  I need to take mine apart and look at the wear areas soo if it can be fixed.   I have a new impact only for $90 with the three speed selection.  Again used and abused every day

Most of the stuff two inch pipe works for.  I bought 3/4 screws and the pipe and studs.   Maybe $50 worth of cost.

No plumbing in these older units, some of the new ones have it as an option.

There were other locations and units that had bathrooms in them but I really wasn’t interested in them.

Ok folks.

Steering wheel controls have been intermittent, I know the lock spring is bad but that to my knowledge is only the stereo controls I thought?   My heads up display button stuff has been working to cycle through my mpg and A/B miles and so forth. Now none of them have lights or function

Clock spring also controls airbag, but when they short out they can cause problems with other systems . It is possibly related.  If you know the spring is bad, do it first then go from there.

Ken, I think you just solved a mystery with my C-Max.

Remember when I installed the CP3 pump?

I had to disconnect the short shaft of the steering column.

You will recall that I installed it firewall side only to discover my steering wheel was upside down, 180 out.

The alignment guy set it upright, but immediately thereafter I had a amber warning light, the triangle with the squiggly lines, like traction control or yaw control or whatever that thing is called. Has been on ever since. I have suspected he went the wrong direction fixing the shaft (I mean how would he know?? 50/50 chance and he chose the wrong direction)

Apparently the clock spring has a sensitivity issue.  I can only blame millennials for the cause of such a stupid device.   Must be left alone, can’t turn to far one way or another, has to be strapped down for other non related repairs.

It has to be a millennial part of these trucks.

Yeah don,  I think we discussed how the wheel should always be seatbelted in whilst removing the shaft, to prevent damaging the expensive Briggs and Stratton starter styled device,  known as a clock spring.  ;)
