One of the worst evaporators I've done. The dirt formed so many layers that it was falling off in clods, filling the case.
(09 f250). .. and this pile of pens, etc was in there somewhere.

I sure miss having the young guy around for jobs like this. Of course the customer "needs it yesterday".

Went on a tractor ride yesterday. We visited some historical sites around the county. Including a stop at the counties only winery. Zane made a you tube short of all of us leaving. Follow him if you want. His channel is a bunch of kid stuff but he makes a few of the farm sometimes. https://youtube.com/shorts/BmkfkDYJJxk?feature=share

Jon, I noticed all those vintage tractors are 2WD. Around here I see some 2WD, but usually more 4WD tractors. I wonder if it was just that older tractors tend to be 2WD and more recently, like the last 20-30 years people have been switching to 4WD.

In the hilly country of Kentucky, a 2WD tractor would be pretty useless a lot of the year, and flat-out dangerous towing something downhill.

Oh and that 2355 in there is one of my favorite older JD units when they built good tractors.

So I had this mess for some time. It’s used packaging material that I recycle when I ship product I build in house. Most of this is from Tate honestly. So it was out of hand to say the least. Then last week I had an idea, what if I had a net?

So ten minutes and $35 later Amazon was shipping me a truck cargo net….

It arrived last night and first thing this morning I found a good spot outside of the overhead lights under my mezzanine. Best part is I can reach up and pull pieces thru the net as I need them. Up out of the way and semi organized.

Cargo net is a great idea.

Stinking hot outside today (113 at the house) some people a few miles way have lost power. So how are we to charge all those electric cars?

Biden will fix it. They are calling for him to act like a king, declare an emergency to combat climate change.

We occupy less than 2% of the earths land surface. Do you really think we are affecting the WORLDS climate (I have a bridge for you to buy)

Warning: the following comments may be offensive to some. There are comments mentioning the increasing progressive thinking and liberalization of some people or groups. Read with caution

Ken, good packaging material is not inexpensive. As a small parts manufacturer (with heavy components to ship) I can’t buy it in low volume for a reasonable price I can pass on. So recycling it makes sense as does keeping it out of the landfill, I’m already throwing a lot of trash out weekly from other packaging. Frankly, you don’t know what you’re talking about with costs in regards to packaging, sorry. You’re not turning “more” liberal on us are you? I mean facts seem to evade most liberals arguments. Just watching out for you here as it’s a slippery slope……..

Imagine the resale on a premium cardboard home just built last year, you could upgrade to melamine or maybe even MDF.

The banter has caused more than a chuckle.

Anyhoo, me and HH6 off to Iceland today(tonight).
We’ve been waiting for our dipstick to shut the country down again in efforts to push big pharma and communism a little farther.
Regardless I’m packed in a carry on as out airports were too daft to rehire sufficient staff to go back to business as usual…
Struggling with how I’ve got enough packed but we’re off for two weeks.
Doing a cruise and a bit of sightseeing while there.

I’ll update later depending on wifi.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

We spent the past week at Boy Scout camp. We had lots of fun and learned a lot. Had an incident with the campsite next to us. We shared a shower house. If our boys get there first the other troop would bang on the doors and yell at them to hurry up. I told my Scouts if that happens again yell back, "The more you yell the longer I'm going to take". Maybe not the best advice because one boy from the other troop pulled his knife out and started popping the locks and opening the shower doors on them. My troop showed back up at camp very upset. I got them settled down and in bed. Then I went and talked to the scoutmaster of the troop we shared a campsite with. They had the same thing happen.  We decided to wait until morning to confront the other troop. The boys admitted to it and apologized. Then the camp director immediately sent them home. That was Thursday morning.  You are supposed to stay until Saturday. I noticed that entre troop was gone by Friday morning.

This was our breakfast and lunch one day. I don't know how they figured a teenage boy can survive on this amount of calories. As leaders we walked 7-8 miles a day. I bet the kids got 10 a day easy.

I’m surprised by the meal situation, that was one thing my boys were always excited about both before and after camp. There was always plenty of food and then some.

Sorry to hear about the issues you had. We had a similar situation with another troop a few years ago, camp director did his job and put them in their place, which was not at camp.

My boys came back from Camp in Or last week. I did the 10 hour drive before, wasn't for it this time. They had a great time. 2 years ago they had issues when the scouts started taking girls. Changed everything.

I want to do an Alaska trip or cruse, that and Australia. Aus will have to wait until this world settles down.

I had sort of planned a Yukon outfitter camp for my daughter and I last year for her graduation/18th birthday, but it fell through because of the Canadians not letting people in. Would have been fun, we’ll do it in the future someday.

Well.
Very busy last few days.
Iceland is beautiful.
And expensive.
I had read it was, and by all counts everyone was correct. Lol.
Did I mention it’s expensive…
Beer at dinner, 1790 ISK.
Hamburger and fries, 2790 ISK, but it was lamb and ohhh soo goooood…..

Onto a rather large boat in the coming days and around the seas we will go for a while.

Chief, quite a surprise with the farm, but you’re probably smart doing it now.
Don’t know enough about the auto transfer case as I only had it in one of my half tons about 2004 vintage. I was not a fan.

How can growing boys live on a hot dog. Holy smokes. That’s just not right.
Now for fun. One of the tour trucks. Not ours.
Note the wheels.
19.5/46/16
Everything is on small wheels here.
Huge rubber 15-16” wheels.
Different to see.
And yes these are legit bead locks.
They air down for sand/snow use.

I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

 What did I miss?

Found it. Tapatalk hasn’t worked right for months so I’m missing a lot of notifications.

This was our breakfast and lunch one day. I don't know how they figured a teenage boy can survive on this amount of calories. As leaders we walked 7-8 miles a day. I bet the kids got 10 a day easy.

At Fire Mountain it was always buffet style until they ran out and then if they were still hungry they could get pb&j all day. I don't know about your camp, but sounds like they're taking the public school approach and want the kids to spend their souvenir money on food at the trading post!

Tate, that  is a cruel post right now. I haven't eaten in 4 days or passed anything.

If you guys haven't had this, its not fun. Feel like your going to pop. Cure rest only. This started Sat morning, felt like food poisoning, but got worse. Thought was backed up, nothing helped so after 2 days I Dr said go to ER. Here I am still.
.
Today I feel much better, getting soft food and may go home tomorrow. Still haven't passed anything since friday though.

Man, that's tough JR! Ever hear of drinking olive oil? I want to say some folks in the Army have used it a time or two, and you can sip or swallow it.

There was a mixture of olive oil and epsom salt that we tried out for instant butt water and bowl evacuation
