Just to be clear about who the enemy is:
« on: January 08, 2019, 09:18:45 AM »
Don Comment: I think it's important to note for factual accuracy what happened on the first day of this new congress. Most notably, Islam now has the electoral power in some states to place law makers into congress. Congress is the place where laws are created. Laws like hate crimes which elevate the needs of the gay community above those of the elderly, and gun control, and tickling with the right to free speech.
Also, I noted a move away from our Lord, God almighty who protects us. I noted open hostility against the Jewish nation, another anti-Christian activity. An infection that kills one can start with a little scratch!
But who do we have to champion our love of freedom and of being a Christian? The republicans? In my view, collectively they have failed us miserably with so many flipping on major, bedrock issues. Who has the courage anymore to just say the truth and stand up for what is right? That concept and being political are really polar opposites. Trump is the closest thing we have to someone who actually champions a cause, and the case for the very preservation of our very culture. I say when the democrats (Socialists/communists) gain sufficient power, our freedoms will topple, and people everywhere will revolt and our nation will be destroyed in street to street violence.

Yesterday was a big day in Washington.  As newly-elected members of Congress were sworn in, control of the House of Representatives flipped from Republican to Democrat.

While this is usually a run-of-the-mill process, a lot of things happened yesterday that should concern anyone who cherishes American values and who was hoping for compromise from the new Congress.

Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) refused to take her oath of office onthe Bible. Instead she used a law book.  I don't know which law book, but I do know this:  Long after the senator and whatever book she took her oath on are gone, the word of God will endure.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) took her oath on what she called "Jefferson's Koran."  She said, "Some of our Founding Fathers knew more about Islam than some members of Congress now."  Obviously she doesn't know very much.  Jefferson got a translation of the Koran so he could understand the Islamic Barbary Pirates against whom he would later, as president, wage war.  Thus the phrase, "To the shores of Tripoli" in the Marines' Hymn.  But she is probably right -- the Founders understood what many elites today do not:  Radical Islam is a deadly threat to freedom.
Unfortunately, Tlaib wasn't done.  She later went to a reception sponsored by the radical groupMoveOn.org.  Referring to a conversation she had with her young son about her election, Rep. Tlaib declared, "We're gonna go in there and impeach the motherf---er.'"
And there's more.  The world map on the wall in Rep. Tlaib's office had a Post-It note on it labeled "Palestine" over the state of Israel.
Rep. Tlaib is not the only newly elected member of Congress who is hostile to Israel.  Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) lied to her constituents about her support for efforts to boycott and sanction Israel.  The election of these two Muslim women, along with socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY), has been hailed by cultural and media elites as "the wave of the future."  Just to be clear, they are celebrating the victory of anti-Semites.  Some future.
Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) posted the transgender flag outside of her office.  (Yes, they have a flag.)
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) introduced a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College.
Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump.
Not to be out done, Nancy Pelosi made history herself by becoming the first woman to become Speaker of the House twice.  And the first bill she pushed through the House late last night was an appropriation bill that gave an additional $12 billion in foreign aid to multiple countries and provided more money to promote abortions overseas, but did not provide one dime for better border security to protect American citizens.
And that, my friends, was just Day One of the new Democrat House

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Excellent summary of some very disturbing events.

A large portion of the "blame" for this type of anti-American garbage lands right in the lap of a Mulotta Muslim first term Senator.

So much of his evil was done where and when nobody was looking.

I unfortunately live in MN and have to watch the local news "Celebrate" the diversity that has come with the growth of Somali's in politics. They are basically cheering on their demise. They want to be SOooooooo PC correct that they won't even discuss or entertain what is actually happening. The whole concept of assimilation to become "AMERICANS" is lost on over half the people in the USA now. If our kids are not taught at home they are inundated with Guns = Bad, Climate Change = human fault, Islam = good, Transgender = natural, LBGTQ.... = human rights, etc... ad nauseum.

I told my daughter I have concerns for her and her kids. I won't be around to see it happen most likely.
Mike

Mike,
We can lead by example, we can fight the good fight and we can go to rest knowing we did our part.
But in the end it is up to the next generation to shape their own world. If they choose to accept this new reality, then so be it. I will look backward on what I/we did to right the ship. I am proud that we stood strong. If someone after me sinks the ship, that's their choice and that is the natural order of things.

What saddens me about that is that in this new PC world of weak men, so many will never hear the truth of the Lord, and his saving grace through Jesus.
