Those are nice boots. I’ve looked at them online, but have yet to pull the trigger. Did you buy them to celebrate Chuck Norris’ 80th birthday?  Is our fearless leader really Chuck Norris?  ;)

Should get a pair or 2 myself. Nothing but tennis right now but need roughouts at least for the snakes at the ridge.

Did a little work on the new trailer. Cleaned up edges, cut tabs off and added a mesh area up front.

Tomorrow move/add some D rings, mount spare carrier and the plate same in.

JR, you added those plates on top where the frame rails kick in? I’m assuming those were to strengthen the frame rails or is there another reason?

On a side note I ask because I have fixed roughly a dozen tag trailers in the 12-14k dual axle variety and they always crack there from the bottom up. They will split the bottom flange and slowly make their way up the vertical at the bend. To avoid this we made a thicker bottom plate and made it wider than the bottom flange (don’t need to stand on head to weld) and then made a triangle shaped piece to co form to bend on vertical. The top point of triangle is center on vertical top of bend then drops down to bottom flange at 30 degree angle towards front and rear.

Took my Mother in law to the heart Dr in Lincoln. Waiting for results of her stress test. Meanwhile went to Sam's club to kill time. The place is a zoo. No carts left. People everywhere. I wondered around a bit then  got 2 cases of beer and some bottled water for camping later this month.
They were completely out of TP,  paper towels, and almost out of napkins. (We are good I was just checking) Meat cases were pretty empty.
Worst of all I couldn't find any Honey buns.

Speaking of cattle, the owner of the Wagyu cattle we are backgrounding asked if we would be interesting in finishing them from now on. Instead of sending them to another feedlot that specializes in Wagyu. That is great news for us. I gave him an enthusiastic heck yeah! He is very happy with the job we have been doing. We work hard to keep his costs down so he wants us to take it to the next level.
Also a local restaurant started serving Wagyu that came through our farm. It's exciting to see this young man build his business and I am proud to be part of it!

Black=us
Red= senior couple
Blue= unknown red light offender

We had a green arrow, green straight light.
The blue car ran a red light and slammed into the red car approx 55 assuming they were going the speed limit when they ran the red light.    The small car took all of the hit right before it could have hit me in the passenger seat with no seatbelt on. CO worker in the back seat and we watched the red car get spun at least two times.

I am thankful to be watched over or for dumb luck.  But I fell extremely bad for the senior couple who took the hit.
We in the truck talked about their black dodge wagon,  he had added his little touches of pin stripes, window decals and some old school type mags as we sat next to them at the light.

No we didn’t stop.   The co worker in the back seat went to instant tears. Freaking out.  Watched it before, during and after!.  He was not going to do well to see the folks.   The Highway patrol was either already sitting at the light when it happened or was in a police chase of the car when it went through the red light.  But we figured best to not stop and be stuck with those images in our mind

Lots of other folks were there that were already stopped.

I am thankful to have this glass and type this message today.

Life is short! God is good and I’ll be on the back deck with a glass and a dog

Glad you are ok Dave.  Today I sent a memo telling my staff to work at home for the foreseeable future if they choose to do so.  My Spring Break is next week and the kid’s school said they would be closed for 2 weeks. So we’ve punched out to the woods and pretty sure I have enough food and toilet paper to last until my retirement. I may need more whiskey.

Got a reverse osmosis system to install and also a pump and hose in case something really bad were to happen I can RO pool water and have 15,000 gallons of drinking water.  110 gallons of fuel for generator and 75 gallons of diesel on the Bus. Garden is in the ground and life is good. God is great and anyone I don’t know within 100 yards is a target.

So yesterday was the first day in eons that I had zero meetings.
By 07:30 that went out the window. In meetings about corona virus till 15:30. One offer the next.
Going through pandemic plans(which surprised me we had), minimum staffing levels, vacation requests approved pending and where to.
One heck of a Friday.
Got to cabin to find my cruise to somewhere warm is now cancelled.
Friday the 13th I suppose.

We are getting evolving information by the hour, and Manitoba is slowly closing like the rest of the world. Too bad mama can’t work from the cabin. I can. Lol.

Stay healthy gents.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

I'm good for a couple months if need be here, but it is crazy in the stores now. Looked like a movie scene last night trying to get top roman for scouts.

Going to be like the old gas crisis, where everything is horded, vs at the stores.

Wife thinks its the end, I say just be careful.

Well being Sunday what are you all doing?

I have some Honda XR200r parts to install on the project, I need to install the insulation on the trailer roof, I also need to literally dust the inside of the truck.   The cabinet shop dust has accumulated inside the truck and it’s getting pretty bad

I didn't go to church

Was thinking it would be cancelled

Limiting forays out into the world

So, my wife noted that we already had it, and that made me wonder

Remember a few weeks ago, I was sick for almost a month?

I may not have mentioned it, but it started with coughing and congestion. I had a low fever and headaches. The breathing got labored and I had this dry cough. I went to the doctor and she told me I was developing pneumonia. I just ate vitamin C like crazy, hydrated and pressed on through it. I felt so weak at times it was a chore just walking up the stairs. But I had it weeks before it became a thing in the news. Is it possible that the thing has been around much longer?

I actually have no clue if I actually had it, and in fact, I doubt it, but both my wife and I had the exact symptoms that this sickness creates...coincidence??

I'm fine now...

Well being Sunday what are you all doing?

We had Sunday services here at the house. Pretty good attendance, 13 people were here.   Of course that’s just me, my much better half and the kids. Some little churches would need to be looking for new meeting location with these numbers.

We went out last night to a friends for a pi day celebration, ate some pies.  One thing I noticed was that the traffic was lighter than on a usual Saturday night.  Going past Kroger at 6 PM, they seemed to be doing a brisk business.

Made it to the final round before the whiskey kicked in. I swear my horseshoes were swapped with boomerangs. Oh well.

Today I put the ol Cummins to the test.

They don't have grass up there in those alpine places either ken.

Went over to Krogers to pick up, of all things, TP

We are almost out, and so was Kroger!

Also no potatoes of any kind, nor onions or carrots, or grapes and many other fruits. There was almost no beef based meat. No hamburger at all, nothing. No paper towels or wipes, almost no eggs, the butter was way down and almost everywhere there were completely bare sections of shelf. I took pics on my cell phone so I could remember/share the day the American supply system started to fail.

I bled the brakes on this K5 essentially finishing the build other than gear break in tomorrow morning. Tate helped out with a lot of his parts and expertise over last several weeks. It received new 3/4 ton axles and Yukon lockers, then new suspension and 37’s

Then a local racer showed up with his K5 6.0ls equipped 1 ton race truck and we extended the cage into the engine bay. Apparently he bent the frame on a big jump recently.

Somewhere during that the wife called, neighbors were harassing Baylee for driving the speed limit in the subdivision (already had it out with these drunken knuckleheads once before). Wife called police to intervene before her lesser half does.

Then apparently after I got home and took a shower someone on that same street had a sign w/ a flag (slow kids at play) run over by a white expedition. They posted it up in FB.....

Now I’m at wife’s work waiting on her. Place is dead btw, no confirmed cases at her facility yet.

Why are the parents tell you their kids are slow... :knucklehead:

And why are they on the street. Don’t they know that’s where the big scary cars and trucks are.

The stupid is strong in hippyland, the worst part there is a great big park half a block away. They pick on the kids, I drive over the speed limit daily and no one says chit to me and they sure as heck don’t walk out in front of me either....... but I’m prepared if they do!

I keep threatening to get train horns. Mama not so much likes the idea.
Ive planted he seed that I’m honking about them in a few folks on the street.
I think some have listened to the gossip.
I still want them and might get a cheap china man set just cause I wanna see some little b@$tard chit his pants. Would do the one kid a world of good.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

I really need train horns. We have a crossing guard who has no clue. Cars are backed up for blocks, love to wake her up.

Spent much of today and yesterday working on the garage after the gehl was finished. Maybe half done, it is a mess!

We went for a walk to Waimae falls! Nice super rainy walk.

Not that we need TP, but I continue to look for the sheer joy of watching stupid happen, but Costco, Walmart have been out for a while, commissary has been empty the last couple days. No big deal! There’s always a solution if you REALLY need it.

Don’t know why everyone is worried about TP considering you need input to create output.
