I really need train horns. We have a crossing guard who has no clue. Cars are backed up for blocks, love to wake her up.

Spent much of today and yesterday working on the garage after the gehl was finished. Maybe half done, it is a mess!

Can you park a vehicle in there yet JR?

I can, but not doing any work. Plus all I work on now are suburbans. Kids have taken over moms garage and broken the roll up door.

Not gonna lie Jon.  I am the x’s husband who did much the same thing.    12 was trying to plan a birthday party for Wednesday with his buddies,   I laughed at the idea. Quarantine is quarantine, they told us if one student comes back with the virus they shut the whole school down for the rest of the year and we can’t afford that much time off of work at my house.

She hasn't seen it yet, probably won't for a few days. Should be interesting, but I don't care anymore,,,,,,

Not much going  on.  It's too  rainy and muddy to do anything outside and the grain markets are way down.  So were farting around in the shop.
Wife talked to her cousin in Cincinnati.  She said that the national guard was out.  Shes a nurse in a dialysis clinic.  Her and her patients need a travel permit to be on the road.

Back in the 60's when we were married I think I was more left than right. As time passed I watched the left dropping off the cliff and it just continued to get worse and worse. My wife on the other hand, growing up in a left thinking family, continued to drink the cool aid.  She hates Trump and the tweets and statements he is always making. I do agree at times.  No way would a Trump sticker ever survive around our place. She doesn't agree with all the giveaway thinking but is still more left than right.

A travel permit? God they are treating this like a zombie outbreak or something. What would happen with a real outbreak? Market fell like a rock when heard it might go for 18 months,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

In 2008-9 with the H1N1 millions got sick, thousands died but non of this over the top stuff happened. To many people think gov will fix it all.

Just be careful (you know us old guys more so). Glad my income is OK, feel sorry for those locked out of their jobs.

Howdy boys. Put the girl to work today. Redoing the irrigation and landscaping at the hide. Not much human interaction except the garden center checker at the outside booth. Then just fork it in the back and be gone. Then sanitize the Credit card and my hands. Wallet stays in the truck.

I still debate how they can tell private citizens and companies you have to close down,   Op at your own risk sure but I plan on driving into work everyday.   I’ll lie about elderly parents, I’ll lie about my kids at my x wife what ever.  The Government can’t tell me where to go in this country !

I think its gone to far already. As stated, they have brought us to our knees without a shot fired, unless you count the Chinese who disappeared reporting this.

People are not dying in the streets (marshal law may cause that). Now I feel sorry for those who are sick or may not recover from this. But will our country get through it OK?

My oldest boy has been fighting something for a week, youngest was a little out of it today. I've had a little cough for 2 weeks, but feel fine.

My daughter is going nuts, wife says the gov knows best,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Went and stocked up on my supplies.
32 foo foo craft beers. Enough for about two months at my current consumption rate.
Some pepperoni for pizzas.
Some cheese for the same.

Should be good to lock down.

On a more serious note.
We crap down normal staffing today.
Running four staff in our generating stations instead of 25-30.
Rest are home doing procedures maintenance reviews etc.
Keeping them all paid and happy we hope.

I’m hoping my boss is good with me self isolating at the casa.
If not no biggie.
I’m set for months. Lol.

Helped my brother put together a tin shed for the river campsite. That's about it for the week. Home now because it rained all day yesterday and snowed all night. I have a project in the warehouse but I couldn't get the door open far enough to get it out and into the shop. Everything is frozen shut. I will use this time to spend with the family being lazy around the house.
The school is delivering lunch for the kids for free. I wasn't going to sign up for it but some of our neighbors did so we did too. They have to drive by the house they just as well stop off here too.
With the cheaper fuel prices we locked in 20,000 gallons for the year at. Greatly discounted price. It's at an 18 year low right now. It may drop some yet but we went ahead and locked the price in now. I don't remember the exact numbers but it was like $2.17 for road Diesel and $1.75 a gallon for dyed red field master. I know it's cheaper at the pump right now but this price includes delivery to the farm.

I hope we see he fuel reduction.
Has hit down south. Need to fuel up this weekend so I’ll find out when I get there.

Work. We have our plan in place.
Approx 100 staff at our three plants.
12 will be at work starting Monday.
Rest working from home on all the paperwork updates, procedures, and other stuff we don’t ever want to do. Lol. Will be a blessing in disguise on the other end of it all.

I’ll be back and forth but mostly not at work, staff don’t want me at all lol.
Time will tell how this all works out.

Happy Friday boys!
Time for some R&R.

Put a brisket on the smoker last night about 7. Pulled it at 7 this morning and separated the point.  Wrapped the point and rested it while I put the flat back on wrapped in butcher paper.  Pulled the flat at 205 and cubed the point and put some rub and sauce on it for burnt ends and put it back on the smoker for an hour.  Probably should have left it on a little longer but the family was about to mutiny over the smell.

Flat is resting and I just had a brisket burnt ends sammich on white bread.  Man, that’s living!

Bet the family is glad you are using the hide. We fixed two corned beef last Tuesday. One in the crock pot the other on the Trager. Life is good just hope the virus slows down so life gets back to the new normal. Not low on tp right now , but who knows how long the scare lasts. Alder leaves will be out shortly, just need to get home to use them..

So far so good here in the tuck. We are more or less battened down and gtg for some weeks. But things seem more or less normal. Worked on the camper (Still holding to a dream of getting out in it this summer with family) fixed some stuff around the house, harassed the pre-rangers and pestered the Frau until she departed the A.O.

A point of concern for us/her is her sister. She smoked a lot of her life and has a pretty severe breathing disorder. The best she can be is 20% lung capacity. I don't believe she would cope with a respiratory problem at all. Kat is over with her at the moment because deep down inside I think she has done the math as well.

All of us are healthy, active, alert, prayed up, and have prepared. We will talk about this for years. As we are about to enter our own particular chapter of this world wide story, fear not for that is of the devil. If you are like me, you do not fear death, but are a bit anxious about the transition. To be absent of the body is to be in the presence of the Lord. All of us here are Romans 10:9 believers so your final destination is secure.

Some of us will get sick. They will most likely recover. Some may lose someone they know, close to them or family. For those I pray out in front of you (us here) for comfort in difficult times. Men, pray a line of the blood of Jesus around your family, homes property and what so ever you have authority over. No evil scheme can cross that line, however God's will will be done. And some of what he is about to do will be life changing.

Lets lean forward into this. For those of you who have been in a fight, same old, same old. For those who haven't, and this could turn into a fight, Make the best decision you can. Do not fear to confront anything, just decide on a course of action and execute. If you come out on the other side, all the better. Don't focus on the outcome, but in what you have to do. God has the future, we can but do the right thing by the moment.

Lets share, stay in contact, help each other where we can, and get to a better season. May the love, protection, and peace of an eternal God be with you.

Up early, finished the on the night stand and off to work.   Can’t stop while the looming close of business.   Jobs to finish, jobs to deliver and get paid $$

After the work is done going to look at a new to us work truck, 2004 Silverado 6.0 with 48k and a really clean interior.   It’s my favorite Chevy blue also.

Dealership wants 14,000 for the asking price.   Our current work truck has about 200k and is hard to fit full-size guys in the back seat.
I’ll see if I can post the add from Facebook

Not much, been working 6/7 days a week for last 5-6 weeks. So this weekend is down time, did find some chicken breast and ground beef at grocery store this morning the first in two weeks.

Shop had been extremely busy, afraid that won’t be the case in another week or two. Grateful shop expenses are covered for rest of year (made enough so far to cover those) and I have quite a bit of “shop” designated builds in front of me w/ finishing the jku build (installing front ds and coating bumpers / rock sliders in bedliner. Then fummins shop truck build, 2 axle car hauler trailer and dj postal Jeep crawler.
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

Doing my part to keep at least business from going under.
My shop has been extremely busy the last couple weeks. Weird.

Well after the long week at work, and doing homework pretty much all day, I cancelled my weekend plans with the girlfriend so I guess I social distanced myself or whatever the term is now. So now she gets to relax in peace with wine and a girly movie at her place, while I continue to study OSHA Regulatory Compliance and Fundamentals of Occupational Safety... yay.

So today I made a trash run and then made brisket and egg breakfast tacos, started cleaning up the shop and throwing stuff out.  Then I got on the roof of the shop and blew off about 1000lb of pine needles.  Been waaay too long since I did that.

Then finished insulating the pipes on the whole house water filter I installed.

Installed 5 towel hooks in the guest house bathroom so the girls can keep their towels off the floor (theoretically). Then trimmed with the string trimmer around the pond(I now stay a long way away from the pond with the mower)

Put some new batteries in the game cameras

Then I made brisket stuffed baked potatoes.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
