Following these guys above

As far as words to say go a man of 29 yrs.    I think I would take the stance of gratitude of said persons affects on my life, maybe revisit some good stories, provide comfort from knowing they have influenced many in a short time.

The lord calls people on his schedule right?

Would appreciate prayers from you all, that tomorrow’s roto-rooter session goes smoothly and they find nothing of concern - I guess prayers for me to be a perfect A-hole? LOL

Stewie posted this in his “growing family adoption thread” and well
I thought it should be posted here as well. Furthermore, he touches on a very real fact that our works for Christ put evil on the ropes & I think this includes group prayer. For those that don’t know what him and his family are up against it can be found here. http://real-man-truckworks-and-survival.com/index.php?topic=3268.msg76461;topicseen#new

Excerpt from his latest post
“waiting for USCIS approval on our stuff then off to Ukraine our dossier goes.

We're working on closing the funding gap at the moment and getting the new bedroom ready.

Please keep Me and my family in prayer. Hell ain't happy with what we're doing....”

With what’s going on across the country satan is definitely displeased!  Pour on the prayer men and let us please the Lord with fervent intercession on each other’s behalf!

Heavenly Father, pave the road for Stewie’s family and their desire to adopt a child from the Ukraine and provide for each need as it comes along. Bless them Lord as they seek to share their love with a needy stranger half a world away.  In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Thanks for the prayers gents - all went well on the colonoscopy - almost perfect A-hole; check WDYDT for a few more details!  Keep lifting up all the others on this list as PRAYERS WORK and it makes the devil unhappy!

I was contacted yesterday by a mutual friend who told me the guy who owned the shop I was GM over for 16 years had come down with an auto immune disease. Long story short at about year 15 of me working for him he wanted to sell out, from my view point and many others I received the short end of that stick and as such made some huge life choices including resigning and ended up in hippy land. There were some hard feelings, I made my peace with them a couple years ago for my part.

This morning he texted me this

quote Hey guy- Mike said you heard the news. I’ve been diagnosed with an Auto Immune disease called Pemphigus Vulgarious. The immune system is attacking my skin cells.  Have lost 95% of my skin from thighs to neck-front and back.  Got me on hi dose steroid and anti-infection meds.  Next stop is burn unit if can’t keep infection under control.  No cure- there’s a drug that can put you into remission- then manage it. That’s the goal.  Have appt Monday with hematologist/oncologist to hopefully get into the drug protocol.   Lot of side effects from drugs on to of the pain. quote

He was raised Catholic although not practicing to my knowledge. I have been thru a ton with this guy. If you could please lift him up in prayer I would appreciate it. I told him that I would pray for him and ask you all to do the same. Thank you

Please lift up my family and myself.  Tomorrow morning I am having surgery on my left big toe for bone spurs.  I am usually not a good about laying around after the first day. (no patients) Fortunately I should be able to get back up on it with a small boot within hours so my mobility will be slowed not denied.  Thanks ahead of time as I know how you guys get on stuff like this.

just remind the nurse to not grab or touch you when you are waking up from the surgery.....

mine didn't listen to me, and the hospital tried to come after me with UCMJ but was shot down immediately.

Thanks everyone. Been a painful couple days as it was more extensive than first thought. This afternoon I was able to walk a little without serious crutch use.  It is slowly improving. Hopefully able to lose the crutches tomorrow.

Thanks.  Better still.  Back at work with the low boot and large bandage on until Thursday when I get the stitches out.  Still some pain but moderate.

Finally got the stiches out yesterday.  Things are going fine.  Still stiff and sore but getting better everyday.  Here is a pic from last week when they took off the big bandage and decided to leave the stitches in since it was over the joint.  Thanks for the prayers.

Nate's comment on my other post reminded me that I should do a quick update on my cancer BS. Your prayers have worked so thank you very much. I'm not in the clear yet but pretty good prognosis. My last PET scan came up mostly "resolved". SO that is very good news. I have a followup PET scan in early October to see if any of the areas come back. SO if I get an all clear in October I will be very happy. Right now based on my history I basically go from waiting for the next shoe to drop to happy.

They let me off of Chemo for about a month now and will wait until the October results to see if I need to go back on Chemo. So now just getting my strength back and might be able to live rather than coping.  :beercheers: Oh and I do have some peach fuzz growing back. Hopefully I can keep it for winter. LOL I still have lingering issues from the radiation and chemo from Neuropathy in my feet and hands to swallowing solid foods. But not a big deal to handle.

Thanks again for all the prayers. I have to say it has been very humbling all of the support I have received even from places I didn't  even know existed.

Genemens,

You may or may not realize it, but the believers here are creating a sort of prayer engine here. I think we have effectiveness somewhere between a stock 6.0 LQ4 and a cammed LS3.

I am always hopeful to power up to supercharged levels, but you prayer Ninjas are still where the power lies

And let me tell you a little secret about getting prayer to work

Look back at the old testament, at some of the super successful battles that were fought in the name of God for advancement of his kingdom. You might have taken note that the nuclear weapon of Gods power yielded by man was praise!

Yep, put your praise and worship team in front of your armee, and the soldiers probably won't even have to draw a weapon. God gets up and does it for you.

So before prayer, spend some time praising him. Really, thank him for everything you have. Worship him, because unless I am mistaken, worship is the one and only thing we can give him that he did not actually create

Think about it (Boneheads!)
