I discovered this cool gun this morning and bought one at 1300!
How cool is this! A factory cut down 10-22 ruger rifle with a 10 inch barrel, M4 pistol grip, threaded barrel, and a picatinny rail...And in a take down version
I called Chuck the owner of a local gun store and he was able to get one from the factory for $319
Giving it to one of the Pre-Rangers for Christmas

I don't seem to recall...
But Since I already own a take-down, I was thinking if I ordered the front half and the stock assembly for the charger, I could simply convert mine
I use it as the bug out bag gun. It breaks down and fits inside a small pack, and with a BX-25 double holds 50 rounds. Toss in another 100 in a pocket and it should keep you free of dogs and intruders for quite some time

OK, found that...the rifle you assembled
I am wondering about doing a pistol conversion, but honestly for $320 it makes sense to just buy one

Don, I was under the impression that a serial numbered action that starts life registered as a rifle can not be legally converted to a pistol. This was way back in time when I first started playing with the T/C Contender.

The way I bought my ar receivers they could legally be made into rifles or pistols. It's been awhile & I can't recall how they did it but there was a specific box they checked I believe when I picked them up & did the paperwork.

100% agree about the price, since it started as an 80% lower you could make a pistol or rifle. Technically once you make a rifle or pistol it supposed to stay that way. It can become a big legal mess if someone wanted to give you a hard time.

and that is the key, but as long as nobody checks the S/N then you have nothing to worry about. My luck I would run into some ATF agent that wants to make a name for himself
