Wow 45 truck loads? That's a bunch of fill. Looks good.

Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Ken we have a estimate of 75 needed in the whole lot.   $4k for all of it and re evaluate the situation from there.   My lot was a hole in between the two next to me.  I was down almost twenty inches before I dug the hole. So in order to not catch everyone else?s water run off we are going to build up about five to ten inches above the other two.   The left/east side of the house will probably get a garden area so I am going to leave it a little lower in hopes water helps my garden. But not a whole bunch lower.

So are you framing your own house then?

Yeah I will be framing my own house, doing my own tile and a few other things for sweat equity.

Talking to my excavator about the drain in the garage. He said I could put it in and measure where I put it.  Cut it out later and tie in after said and done.  Reminded me of the amount of slope on the garage and driveway and advised it shouldn?t be needed.   I am a little over 2% on the drive and 1.5% in the garage.   I think that ship has sailed away after that convo.

Need to figure out lights for my deck stairs, bathroom light fixtures and finish details on my stained glass pendant lights being made by an uncle out of this

Blue and white clear glass on the bottom left

Off to frame someone else?s house today

I see, yeah the drive way will be poured in multiple pours.   I have the RV pad we will skip sections as it?s 50plus feet.  Break it up into 10 foot pours to I can finish it easy. The drive way will be 42 long but a sidewalk and the curb/approach will be in there.  Not sure on width but plan is to rebar the whole thing or use the 4x8 sheets of the wire you can stake off the gravel and pour over.  Link to follow

Mine has the exact hose as Dons, so much less mess.  Just stick the hose in the 2gallon washer fluid jug fill it up, grab the next and done.   No more catch pan.   I use a bolt in the end of my cleAr hose with a small stainless clamp

I tell ya what don, if someone else has to follow this process they will have all the info needed.  That was my understanding of the build thread, use the knowledge you have, gain new stuff others contribute, others better the process as other follow the original.

Jr I am not sure I follow what your saying with your expansion joints

We have saw cut all of the homes we have built so far, they are rebar reinforced and tied to the house with bar.  I don?t know what the dimensions they are all cut at.  Mine will all get back willed with a product called steel seam so they are smooth joints.

I?ll see about some pipe under the slab.  We back filled lots of soil into that garage area saturday

I turned on grandmas sprinkler system, two broken heads and a hole from the lawn aeration this spring.  Fixed and running.

Re wired the electrical stuff to my valve box in the back yard. The black dog had his way with it

I will have a few four inch pipes run under the drive, picked up some green sewer pipe for free. Planning on two runs at the garage end of the drive and one down by the sidewalk.

I have tried like hell to get a garage drain approved and it is not an option.  Apparently they worry about things that might get dumped down it, I just laugh and say that is what my sink is for in the garage.

They did pull all of the grass and weeds out of the garage.

Some good progress made today, tractors showed up to move dirt!!

We pulled grade for my driveway, 42 feet from street and 18 inches of rise to the house, set the garage grade at 1% and let all snow melt run out the doors.

If you can see the red chalk line that is the same distance of my drive also

I got my soil purchased, $4k and should be able to bring in 18-20 inches of soil around the whole property to get me above the neighbors yard so water drains out not in.

I also got to drive and move soil around in this big guy

Should have a finish grade on Monday eve.

Took the scouts to a Go-Zero off grid place

Water generator pick up tube

Water siphon that the water dumps through to turn two props.

Here the tank water level was to low so we closed the valve and increases water which helped the siphon pull more water through the prop
