"Up late with Ranger....."
Good thing puppies are cute, cause they're a PIA! My current one has tested my resolve more then all others combined!
Not seeming to get the "hold it" part of the program at 4am, so in trying to facilitate crate training protocol, I'm getting up! Then, since he's up, he wants to play! Scared crap outta me this am when I held him still cuddled against me, he went limp after struggling- he just gave in like I flipped a switch; thought I killed him or did the sleeper hold!
Put yourself, pup and sled dog in small room and work it out, asserting YOU are the Alpha of the pack. I've had to do that on occasion with mine and guest dogs of friends that I've taken care of. Had as many a 4 intact males loose and free in the house together without issue, but I'm always monitoring. Lifting by the collar shoulder high with some firm affirmations and stern incantations including "NO" and putting them down to try again, lays a firm foundation of what's not tolerated when you "speak" to them to knock it off (adult dogs). Puppies I leave for on the floor and rattled them by the collar with same incantation. Adult dogs off the ground takes away their security, pack status etc.
When you got the pup and each as individuals getting along, introduce all three and be ready to repeat the process as needed. Sometimes that third element can throw a wrench into the dynamic so keep on your toes- especially if you toss a female in the mix; they can be the worst, hence the name they're reffered to by in the dog world!
Have fun- beautiful pup; the Mrs. Six pulled one over on you it seems! Good for her!

Here's Moby Dick- with what my 22 year old son refers to as "the old man appearance package"....kids!
Do you rub it down with Teflon rags to keep dirt from sticking to it? I can see my reflection in your paint just looking at the pic!
No, but based upon Don's recommendations, I stay away from Malls!

As thick as those woods look, you might consider contracting with a Forestry expert and reputable timber company to come in generate some return on investment to restore the health of your woods, before you start your sustainability improvements and bug-out work. That and a good controlled burn would turn the place into Eden of sorts.

Oh and put lettering on the front of the hood in reverse like an ambulance. "MOVE OVER" or "INCOMING"
::) now that right there is an awesome idea!
That's a silly idea, it needs to be on the bumper so Kia and Prius drivers can actually see it! Amuckness abounds!

I just put new tires on the Duramax- Micheline LTX A/T's. 18's )load range E)
These are wonderful for all-around tires, cruising mulch beds, and towing my 8,000lb camper etc. not sure about mud, as that makes a white truck look like it's totaled.....
$265 each......ouch!

Two thumbs up on flat black! My AAR Cuda' had that stock, and I never suffered from glare in my eyes from the front! (Some shinny lights from behind but you just flip up the mirror and take evasive action.....or pull over and find your license) ;)
Just the hood, or go all the way out to edge of fender!
Looking good- twist your rubber British Marine flap 90 degrees or drag will force it open when flying down the road and whistle like a flatulent steer........

So sitting here at the Socialist.....er' I mean Illinois Education Association Representative Assembly and put before us was a motion to eliminate an Invocation from the opening of the Assembly, by any religious figure......this year was a priest, previously there have been pastors, rabbis etc.
The Political Correct crowd wants to deny recognition of any deity as well as denying others recognition of such (Christ for me) as their embrace of Religious Freedom; er' freedom FROM religion I guess.
Well, upon being called for a VOTE, was DEFEATED!
Thankfully, even in this land of liberalism and secular progressivism,
Back to wallowing in liberalism...... :-X

Really looking spiffy! Going outta pocket for next few days at a Liberal......er' Teachers Convention......so I'll be looking in regularly for a dose of normalcy and maybe an occasional cold and prickly moment for anyone looking over my shoulder at some pictures of Trucks and Assault Weapons! ;)

So you're saying, being close to Ft. Knox, with your previous foray into armored vehicular command, you couldn't arrange for a "road trip" for those people who never get to push over a tree in a tank? Just think of all those videos you could get of commanders being plucked from the turret! ;D

You'll need to go puppy route then to put her mind at ease; the boys raise a pair, send them (boys too) for training at right age and it won't be an issue.

I think like the rest, just glad it wasn't a write off like it was leaning towards. I can't see it yellow, just doesn't fit the picture for some reason. If you did it would have to have "TONKA" on it in big letters.
Got to be OD and maybe add a clam to that bucket?
Funny how we all like to play on these things. I worked on a ranch for a couple years and loved driving the farmall around or digging things up when not fixin them.
I agree
For some reason digging stuff up, cutting things down, riding on a tractor, and burning piles of stuff seems satisfying! Must be a man thing
My least favorite farm equipment memory is mowing w/ brush hog and having the PTO shaft come flying past my head when a weld (that I didn't do) broke! Now why NOT paint it yellow and put Tonka on it? Just like being kids again, everyone would want a turn!

You know what the big difference was between the Armee and the Air Force?
The A/F secured their locations with roving dog patrols.
I learned from that...
Unless you are attacked by power cords and screw drivers, you're gonna need to upgrade from "Red Dog".......just saying! ;)

Nice ground from the few Picts shown- Bobby likes the high ground that looks flat but plenty of rolls.
Lots of cedar trees- great building materials for outdoor furniture and pretty smelling closets! Oh how it sends flames to the heavens!
Don, I will give you some free Photoshop lessons- what you did to Duanes face is criminal, unless he actually looks like the Elephant Man!
Your mention of steep hillside might make a good build site, good over-look, could build into the hillside for insulation and protection or even hidden exit/tunnel.
Congrats on expansion and growth too!

22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

Back from vacation and just catching up now- I'm sorry for your loss, thankful for your answer to prayer about speed and mercy. It's amazing how one of The Lords passing can be like a burst of light washing over all involved simultaneously, across 100s of miles of this earth.

So, somewhat related, DEF message and service engine light pop up on the Duramax the other day, top off with DEF fluid and resets, all fine. Next morning the old "95 miles to 65mph restriction" message comes up and starts the count down on way to work.
Drop off at dealer with 71,000 miles on the clock and am I glad the warranty is still in play!
Exhaust sensor in catalytic converter is bad, and fused/cooked in place so they have to replace the entire converter (catalytic converter on a diesel?) at a parts cost for converter alone at $2000!! :o
We'll see what else they did when I pick it up tomorrow- I'm sure the previous leaky down pipe and DEF injector played a part in all of this as well as crappy mileage and performance causing me to think down pipe was leaking again!
29,000 away from deleting it when something else goes wonky! :D

Wow......ok, gotta ask, in a movie or two, I've seen little birds as you call them, fly inside buildings/hangers......is that possible or is it special effects?
My brain tells me that turbulence might make it impossible, but what do I know, never even ridden in one! :o

Still remember the # system of color stripes on resistors to this day that I learned about that age (politically incorrect) ending in "...but Virginia Gives Willingly ........" -don't completely remember how to apply it though. Do remember not to take a capacitor from someone without touching the contacts to metal before grabbing the ends! :D
