Ok, so yeah I've taken a 4x into the wild unknown and survived. I was 20ish, single and beer was the essential part of the equation. Did the same at ball state university many weekends too but somehow I think I was more prepared then than now! So fast forward twenty years and the plan is to do this from my truck with teenage girls and wife & now you understand why I feel intimidated! So we have standard gear such as tent, bags, sleeping pads & cooking equipment including some cast iron & a camp chef stove with griddle. Those with more relevant experience (I progressed to expensive bourbon on occasion btw so beer doesn't have the sustainment value any longer) what is on the must have list. For reference we're planning a couple weekend Rockies trips then a longer ten day trip end of June with camping in Yellowstone & primitive cabin in Glacier. On that trip we will mix in a couple of hotel stays on that journey too. This trip is at campgrounds for most part btw.

So I stumbled across this being used for sunscreen & my daughters already use it for a number of girly things. I then wondered how many uses there are for this substance & come to find out it looks like one article which I'll list below shows 77 uses. Maybe this is something I should stock more of now. It lasts for up to 3 years, this has so many uses wasn't sure where to put it so I threw it in here. https://draxe.com/coconut-oil-uses/& this link shows 101 https://wellnessmama.com/5734/coconut-oil/

How's that for a first post on a new forum? I wouldn't think you would expect anything less.

I don't know all the details yet as I was pretty well still asleep when she arrived home early this morning from my macallan 18 night cap & she is sleeping in a bit this am. However, what I do know is she had her purse compartment unzipped & hand on her g43. Apparently some junkie was coming at her or following her saying she had a baby in her trunk. Crazy, but people can be I guess. At some point she was able to alert security to the threat & never had to use force.
Once she gets up this morning I'm going to go over the whole thing with her. Try to find things she could have done better & use it as a learning experience. She has taken a couple training classes & we shoot regularly but this being a first incident I think there is plenty to discuss.
Feeling very blessed she was able to get out of the situation without any harm. Normally I would have been with her however my back was pretty sore from a workout so I took a drink and was in bed when she had to leave. Glad she has taken the time and energy to make sure she isn't an easy victim.

Ken, you'll love this one........ So ever have an issue where the spouse doesn't add you to an account or you aren't the primary on the account? Say she opened an account at the dress barn and you don't really like having all those open card accounts or maybe the at&t bill is in her name so those pesky people on the other end of the phone just want to talk to the spouse and her only? Well, in todays society it is AOK for you to be confused. So the next time provided you have the needed info at your disposal (things like mothers maiden name etc) you can act in a manly voice no less as your wife and I don't think they can question you. Furthermore I have a Colorado address and everyone knows Coloradoans are really confused anyhow. Needless to say again I am manipulating the rules to my advantage kinda like that quote in my signature........

Friend of mine sent me this, I thought it was pretty funny. Btw, he's happily married to a very successful professional female & he's by no means sexist for the record. He lives to give people including me a hard time.
I like to go on Facebook to the pro Hilary sites and argue with them when I've had a rough day. Last month they were saying that they were holding a million woman march against trumps innageration. I told them they need to march back to the kitchen. My phone was going off all night.

OK, so I've been like a kid at Christmas waiting to open this box and introduce you guys to this product ( ever since I picked it up at my office PO box several weeks ago :) lol ). Hard not to notice a big box with Vertx on the side of it....... http://api.justinfr.com/data/default/images/catalog/1000/Turnkey/1/VTX5010BK-FRONT-WEB-609.pngSeveral months back I was visiting the cabelas bargain cave and wandering past the gun counter. As I did I ran into this guy who had a couple of these cool looking back packs. Apparently he was waiting for management to do an overview of the new product line. Cabelas just started carying them online at the time. He was an outside regional sales rep for Vertx. Super friendly and hit me up as I was looking at the pistols to ask if I conceal carried. I responded that I did and the wife and kids were always making fun of my man purse. My old one was a small carry on flight bag that I used for my ipad etc when traveling. It pulled double duty in the jeep when at home with my G22. It worked but wasn't really designed for this role. So he throws me the EDC bag http://vertx.com/edc-commuter-bag and fits it to my large 6'2" frame then starts to explain all the functions this bag has built into it. I could go into way more details but in essence this bag was designed for and by operators working discreetly overseas. They've been working and reworking the design for several years now. Best part is living here in hippy land I will fit right in with this bag without looking homeless. I already reached out to Craig at 144:1.com for a couple of patches. I also placed an order this morning with Vertx for the accessory internal holsters etc, note if you sign up to their email you get a 20% off initial order coupon. So excited as I can now carry my tricked out G35 I highly suggest you guys watch the video, one part it doesn't mention is that the area for the "laptop" can be used to hold body armor. So when you flip the pack around front side to pull your gun in essence you now have front armor while engaging said dirt bag. video https://youtu.be/9N_TJqb8gkUReview video https://youtu.be/HvHQY4SSAW8
