Meaning President, Senate & HR are all poised to be aligned. Please tell me the guys at the NRA & GOA are planning to request the repeal of FOPA as well as NFA
Once in a lifetime opportunity, someone (all gun owners) need to be pushing for this imo.

War movie on Netflix, was very good. About a company of peace keeping Irish UN troops that were sent into the Congo in 1961. Thought I'd share it's worth watching.

So as some of you know I have a fondness for propane. From having an old dump truck & EB Rock crawler running on it. Or powering a generator & heating shops / homes to then cooking up a Sunday evening dinner on the bbq it has many uses.
It is a desirable and available energy source in a time of crisis. Easily could be used as a commodity for barter. It is also a fuel that can be bought in very large quantities provided you have an approved container. It will store for several generations as long as the storage tank holds. So as stated it has advantages for those with the knowledge on how to acquire, transport & not blow yourself up in the process.
With this thread I'm going to cover a few aspects. At the present time I am finishing up getting a bulk storage tank "hooked" up so they (propane dealer) will come inspect & fill it. Yes, that is correct typically they will not fill a bulk tank unless it is hooked up to an appliance so they can test the line to make sure it is not leaking or endangering yourself (see thread title if questions on this part). The other option if you don't have it hooked up is to buy a million dollar liability insurance policy for a year & go through proper training. Training is normally provided at little or no cost by the supplier & they certify you to fill bbq & other portable tanks etc from what is called a wet leg, a little more on that term later.
In this process I will be detailing part numbers and rough figures for what it's costing me to setup this system in hippy land Colorado. I by no means claim to be an expert or advise you to do anything. If any questions or concerns please consult your local propane or gas suppliers. They are normally very helpful & knowledgeable.

Saw this & thought I'd post for those of you who might like a deal & aren't afraid of a grinder or a spray gun & bed liner..... http://knuckledraggin.com/2013/07/affordable-body-armor-plates/For those of you north of the border, if he'll do paperwork those flat rates go there although you would be limited to one set per box FYI with the international weight limit on flat rate boxes.

Found this on the dailypundit.com posted by razorbacker so not sure who the author actually is or was......
I’ve been on my knees, in the muck and mire, the stench in my nostrils. I’ll stand.
Unbeatable forces force me again down, but again I stand. Pain hurts, but despair kills. I’ll stand.
Do you think yourself alone, a minority of one? Still stand.
One is enough, when one is all that there is. Stand.
To stand is to make a target of yourself. Stand.
You will not win. You are doomed to fail. Stand.
Better men than you have died standing, but all men must die. Stand.
Do you not wish to be counted among the better men? Then stand.
Better to live a slave than die a freeman? If you ask the question, you cannot comprehend the answer. Stand.
Today is not the day? When, then? Are you so comfortable? Do your knees not ache? Man was not built to kneel, but to stand. So stand.
You were given a priceless gift, the gift of life. Do not waste it. Stand.
They will mock as you fall. All men must fall. It is a shorter fall from your knees. But fall from your feet, so as to make a resounding echo. Stand.
You can live on your knees. You will die on your feet. Choose for yourself; I will not judge. But as for me, I’ll stand.

Ok, so gunna throw this out here.
So my oldest (I have 3 daughters) who is about six months shy of turning 15 comes to me last night & states she wants to do a self defense class. She's 5'4" (takes after her mom in height dept unfortunately) & gets the boys attention more than I care for, she is smart in that she is big on personal safety & space. A little back ground here is that she is also going into high school, she plays basketball & is extremely disciplined as far as training. She lives at the gym between doing her ball handling & shooting routine. Then add in her own personal weight / cardio program & this volt system the kids all use in the local high school athletics. Honestly, she amazes me in that she's the type whatever she puts her mind to she will accomplish. Describing her as driven is a bit of an understatement. I realize I'm her Dad saying that but at the same time my other two do not have her drive, sorry kiddos....
So anyhow Krav Maga is pretty big out here, pretty intense & best I can tell about the best self defense system out there. Her being a girl they focus on finalizing things quickly & aggresively which I like for her. So I'll support her in whatever she wants to do but here's the catch. She wants me the old man to do this with her. ???
I'm not opposed but at the same time am really questioning do I really want to kill myself at this point. When it comes to fitness I'm no pansy doing 20-30 miles on my bike a week (just purchased couple weeks ago still working up) & on average 16-20 miles on the elliptical along with weights. However, I'm far from 20 years old & things just don't work like they used to as I'm pushing 40. Part of my concern goes into keeping my joints healthy as I've had some issues in the past so I really try to focus on low impact (reason I use an elliptical versus running). The other part is do I have the ambition to do this?
So anyone out there have any experience with this system? Figure I'll go have talk with local instructor & get their sales pitch so hoping I can find an external sounding board. I realize most of you old farts probably don't even know what I'm talking about but hoping maybe Bobby or some young-un will see this and chime in..... ;D & if you old guys know something, or not and just want to rib me I fully expect no less from this crowd for the record. ;D
So thoughts?

Ok, so my el cheapo Stanley ones (well at least one of them) were destroyed in a horrendous construction accident building the framework for my back deck. Long story short a 2x10 heavy, wet treated drop fell on the lower support which didn't even blink much less put up a fight.
So with that stated I'm ready to invest in a new set. I've viewed a few different versions on this site. So what are you guys using?
Don, for the record I've viewed your wood & cardboard stuff plenty of times as with everyone else so no need to reply with that crap btw......

So I finished our deck a week or so ago. Still need to complete landscaping around it but that will be towards fall when I undertake that process. As I built & designed the deck area I wanted a place for our current grill & a new addition. We were originally thinking a black stone cooktop like Nate has but then just purchased a cast Webber plate for our current grill to do bacon etc. so now I'm looking at all options & keep coming back to the Traeger line of products. Also looked at this green eggs (not really interested) & other wood smokers. Anyone using a Traeger?
