Had first construction meeting on new home this morning. They are ahead of schedule by a few days and digging basement today. Had appraisal on existing home done today. Officially signed lease and deposit on new town home for six months. Spoke with all utilities & have things set up for the switch. Movers have been hired and we move on the 26th All the heavy equipment is in my shop except for the lathe as it still needs moved along with odds and ends mostly steel parts. Compressor is extremely top heavy and no fun to move, retired neighbor cop stopped by and gave me hand off loading it along with bottom roller tool chest. Second set of hands was very appreciated. Finally received refund from Richmond American Homes on original build, vp is lucky they have cameras in his lobby. I exchanged some choice words with him about his disfunctional company. Not my finest moment.   So bottom pic, home in the middle is similiar to ours being built except we have more windows up top. Single car on the one side is moms separate entrance to her suite.

Apparently the clock spring has a sensitivity issue. I can only blame millennials for the cause of such a stupid device. Must be left alone, can’t turn to far one way or another, has to be strapped down for other non related repairs.
It has to be a millennial part of these trucks.

Things got dicey when I tried my best to lower the spare tire the normal way. Something wasn't meshing and I never got the tire winch to move! I ended up cutting the tire retainer off and just dropped the tire
They never function properly on those GM’s, I believe there is an official GM bulletin that in fact states you have to cut the retainer to use the spare. It’s really handy when your tire blows crossing the Ohio river on I75 north bound into Cinci, not that I have any experience with that... 
That’s not a good place to blow a tire anytime. The fact there is no where to pull over anywhere close is bad enough, the other irate idiot drivers make it even more dangerous.

My 5 yr old one has no trigger issues, bummer on the newer ones.
Brushless, supposedly improved efficiency, quieter and they build less heat. Again pretty sure my old one has brushes and it gets pretty hot and is anything but quiet.

good deal, my set at the shop has the larger drill which has the hammer settings. Had it for 5 years or so. Only issue I have had is the chuck acts a little goofy sometimes but other then that it’s been a great setup. Problem was it’s at the shop and I’m always needing that impact around the home. Couldn’t see just buying the impact for a bill when I could get the whole shebang for fifty more with a bag.

Passed house inspection Thursday, don’t have to fix or do anything. We close on the sale of our existing home on the 28th, probably move into lease on the 26th Moving company coming Monday to give quote on double move. Once into brand new townhome about 4 miles away we leased for six months this morning & then into new house first of June. In all reality we are only moving about a mile and half from our current home to new one when it’s all said and done. Moved Mill to shop today, going to rent low deck trailer Tuesday for 900# steel table, compressor and tool boxes. Then just need to break down lathe & some misc steel components to move yet to shop. So close on moving shops

Pretty easy Nate. First thing I did was use a marker on the back of each belt to easily tell which one was which (coarse, fine, etc.). The finer ones are harder to tell by feel.

My welder back in Indiana ran one of these and normally unless it was single digits he could run 12 hours on a load.
