The sewer hose won't like the metal tube and protest with holes which will leak out the black water. I have gone to the Rhino hose that retracts and fits inside a fabric zippered container. Yes a bit more expensive than the ones that are what they are but sure is nice not having leaks after a few months of riding and rubbing inside a metal tube.

I agree but... If everyone drove to the end of the lane and took turns merging things would be a lot smoother than all the movements that take place for the 1/4 mile before the lane ends slowing the left lane to a crawl and causing tempers to flare. I think concrete barriers, not just barrels or cones, between the two lanes from some point all the way down to the merge area would be a good traffic flow improvement, keep both lanes moving at about the same pace, and just maybe keep the jerks in both lanes under control. Now the person that pays no attention to traffic at the on ramp and causes stop and go conditions should have to go to driver training.

Ken, bend a couple coat hangers, handle with a 90* bend and a foot or so straight wire. Hold them straight out in front of you and depending on how you hold them they will either cross or turn away from each other following the path of the pipe. Set a steel bar or water pipe on the ground and give it a try before you discount it as witchcraft. I have found culvert pipes under the road, water lines, phone cables, tools lost in the grass and even a small gold nugget and dowsed two water wells. I am not into ghost hunting and other dark side stuff so can not and will not speak to those practices. Don't know how or why they work but they sure do.

Ken, sounds like you need to pick up a couple brass rods and start witching the area before digging. I don't think the one-call would have helped much since most were not utility owned stuff.

Yes, more likely the board than the temp rod but Trager should take care of you. I clean the burn pot and lower area every couple burns to try to keep all the ash under control. Mine is the medium size but would think they would operate about the same.

Yup, the boat and pickup would take 3 spots at least. I ended up staying at a casino in Redding and at Tehachapi up by the Denny's store. If I had known the CHIPS would give me 65 I could have done one overnight and been down here. I always thought they gave the truckers 62 but held the RV's and other trailers to 57 or so. California is such a pain to drive through, but not as high elevation as the other options and I don't like pulling in the snow.

Nate, a bit cool down here this year so am waiting a bit to go for a boat ride. The ramp area is still open but no rangers around but the area is clean and someone is cleaning the area. The ramp and parking is inside the National Lake Mead Recreation area is managed by theNational Park Service. Was a bit of a hassle coming down looking for places to park for food and sleeping. A lot of motels said I would have to park out on the street, and that just was not an option, for me anyway.

Best thing I did was to run non ethanol gas in the small engines and boats. Not a lot of maintenance costs, oil change on the four strokes and new plugs is about it.

I would carry some cable chains, but if towing and chains were required I would just get off the road until they lift the restrictions. Don't know what he is driving but with lots of rigs, they say not to use them. If he is towing and uses them, he might need to chain one axle on the trailer also to be legal.

This same subject came up on a shooting/hunting forum once. Turned out the person only had one arm and bad eye sight too. All caps worked best for him. The big difference was on the other forum he was being put down by the "forum police" that liked to point out mistakes, spelling, and proper word use. Served them right in the end... We usually buy the individual cuts when on sale rather than buy large and break down. Used to buy 1/2 beef or whole hog, but when it is not the best it is a lot to get through.

Don, do you have an infrared heat gun? I checked the air coming out of the ductwork at about 93* and the line coming from the heat pump to the air handler is around 110-115*

Well Nate, my wife really thinks it is a good idea. So other than a extra night each direction( 55 mph towing in California) and now the inspections and power washing, all is good.

Well since Lake Mohave, Lake Mead, and Havasu all have infestations of Quagga mussels our boating is going to be a pain when we head back home next spring from AZ. Will need to have an inspection and hot water power wash of the boat and trailer by Arizona Fish and Wildlife. The inspection includes the boat, trailer, all the fishing gear, life jackets, boots, fish boxes, live wells, wash down pumps and hoses, thru hull fittings, ropes, and anything else that was in or near the water. I should miss the California inspection stations with a bit of luck, but when I get to the Oregon boarder another inspection at the very least, and they could even take the boat away for a week in quarantine and another power washing before I can pass through their State. I don't want to infest any lakes with the darn mussels, but reading up on the fresh water quagga mussels, they don't do well at all in a salt water environment, or left out of the water for a few weeks.

You will be shocked when you open it up and see how much isn't there. When that was built, weight was a big issue, they really skimped when building them. Special use? Closet space isn't much to start with so I wouldn't want to loose what there is. Lots more room to work with if you had a larger camper to start with.
I used an 8ft camper as a hunting camp years ago. Also had a couple tents set up for cooking and sleeping. Four guys with a weeks worth of stuff just wouldn't fit inside that little camper.
