I think push button would be way better then hydro shocks, I can’t keep a set on my truck shell for more than a year.  At least with an electric motor you have ease and longevity. Plus when Don adds solar panels, a bike/kayak/kobota rack to the roof.  The rams will drive them selves.

How is the suburban doing?

Your looking for a single strut?  Why not double up. Two in each corner.  Not sure the math but if one pushed 25 pounds wouldn’t two push 50?

What about electric motors to lift it up?

Looks like a second coat of primer wouldn’t hurt from my experience.  As for your wood bondo prep it looks on point.

Would you please post a link or identification for your roller glides you have for the fridge and the generator?

We installed some 4” pull out glides for a home.  $150 a drawer but rated for 800 or so pounds in the drawer.  Terrible install process but man where they smooth!!

Do we get a video of this roof open and closing?

I have been thinking the HF unit or the champion is the way to go,   The larger the better since it will back up the home also.
[/l]

Dave, good plan BUT....If you tend to loose power at home often or just want the extra amps for when the power does fail you are not going to be happy when it comes to loading up for camping. The larger ones take lots of space to haul around and weigh more that I want to lift in and out of a rig. Better off setting one up at home with an auto transfer switch or an easy to power up switch for when you are not home and the wife has to change it over. Just bit the bullet, save up some coin and place a generator for home use, especially if you plan on staying there for a few years. Then go buy a pair to use in the RV.
The end goal is to get a propane gen set outside the garage, but the current is to run a cord from where trailer is parked to the power box, 10 feet maybe.   The trailer sits right next to the home for ease.

I only have a basic power ran into the home, fridge n freezers and a few inside lights.  The rest is on another circuit.  Not really much to run.   Everything else is gas

Don how many hours are on your generac 5500 ?

Been a min since anyone posted in here and some of you Munchmore seasoned folks can sip on whiskey.  Me not so much as I just pass out.  But. This is new.  Monster energy MULE and the rest is a Moscow mule

Crushed ice half full in a copper cup, two shots of Vodka, been using Smirnoff blueberry because momma likes it, and 1 squeezed lime, put the peal in the cup also. Fill the rest of the cup up with monster Mule and settle in for a good night of Dave with a Grin!

I have but some traps by the garage areas.

I am not sure how he got in the house.  My first thought is looking for warmth but with a field on each side of my house and a large barn behind I am not suppressed to have a mouse.   Like you said I hope I had A Mouse. Not a whole pile of them.

Need to finish our yard and maybe an outside car that gets fed once in awhile

Leaving the shop tonight at 9:00 to momma callin, WEHAVE a MOUSE !!

Imagine that,  right next to the 5, 5 gallon buckets of dog food.   I assumed he would have been much larger considering his high protein food source.   Momma took the photo from standing on a bucket.    He met his demise about 10 with a broom and a large qty of glue pads.    Dog room cleaned and sterilized from top to bottom and all dog food crumbs will be cleaned weekly.

Dave, it’s always been pretty stressful with both wife and I working a lot as kids were young. Kids grew up and we have different jobs which promote more time off around holidays (well her’s does anyhow) I just have one job currently instead of 2 or 3. She still does a lot for girls. Her and I not as much, however we plan a Christmas budget like back in July each year and try to stick to it (at least I try to have her do that). Then her and I try to do at least one small trip a year. Often times that involves her traveling for work and me meeting up at end of it for few days depending on location.
I like The trip together idea, I asked this year but we had discussed the trip but she keeps telling me she wants the yard done ASAP!!!

I think we keep things here under wraps cost wise but it’s still just not the reason for the season so to speak.

I am for sure tired of the Christmas gimie gimie gimie here at my house.  Need to find a option to break the cycle, so much of this buy me this I want that has been going around.   I continue to press for no gifts and more about time.   But.... wife is required to work excess OT this three weeks and I can’t seem to catch a break at the shop!!  Holidays are no longer fun

What do you all folks do to keep Christmas about Christ and not this commercial crap

Further update

Found out why the new Yamaha Genuine part carb would not run

The exhaust pipe was 90% plugged with oil.   I had given up and taken it to the local shop.  They discovered it and burned it out with a torch

It now runs  via video https://youtu.be/1RipuVINS6w

I ordered some new tires as these are not holding air at all, bald as You can see.

The air/fuel mixture is off as I discarded the air box for a direct to carb filter.

Sanded the plastic today in preparation for a friend to put on some black automotive paint.

I thought it was an ok movie, wouldn’t see it or purchase it.
A part that bothered me with out giving away the story, One moment the main character Ray is levitating with rocks and has the power to hold spaceships captive.  Next moment she needs to free climb a wall ?  Why not levitate to the top?
Lots of others I didn’t like but it’s now a Disney flux and messed up like all of theirs

Need to go put the little three wheeler together today so it’s ready to bring home for Christmas morning,
