Brother Don, I was going to PM you, but chose to post it up instead...

Those are the first tires I ran on my new truck, but in 35s, also load D. I argued with discount tire about how they would be fine, even tho they said the tire wasn't good enough for an 8k lb truck. The only way they would even sell them to me was if I put them on, so I bought them and had my brother swap them at his shop.
Fast forward about 20,000 miles later (iirc...I posted about it somewhere on here) and they started chopping/cupping badly, and I was rotating often. I always had a vibration that I tried to fix with beads MULTIPLE times, adding weight, subtracting, but all that would change was the mph at which it would vibrate.
They just couldn't handle the weight of the truck. Off they came and I switched to Nittos and have yet to have a balance issue, nor have I had to use beads, even in those raunchy mud grapplers I ran.
Had I realized that these were the tires you were going after, I would've typed this sooner...but...maybe they've changed the compound in the last 4-5 years (hopefully?)

It was a crying shame...I really liked those tires, more than any other to date.

Phil is in the house!

Don, I bought some off amazon. They will shrink, but that's the nature of oiled canvas..this is the largest one I bought (2 years ago and it has shrunk about 10" length wise)

Looks like combat max needs a bigger lift so it will match the trailer.  :)

The bare copper just didn't go well with the dark walnut stained pine, so I started experimenting. The end result was from heating each piece until it was glowing, 3 separate times, and each time sooting them just before quenching. I used scotchbrite between soot coats until the pieces held a fair amount of black (from the acetylene). They ended up red, copper, with some black streaks. ...then used the torch along just the edge and turned it back into plain copper. I know, maybe overkill but it was kind of fun working with copper. Very interesting to see what happened during each heat cycle.

Here they are bent at 90*, then tacked on with antique looking upholstery tacks:

I took a break from tile to make some leg protectors. I decided to use copper, because eventually copper pans will hang from the ceiling above the island.

Here it is sanded with 220 grit:

then hit it with a hammer for fun:

Started laying tile on the wife's island.
First, I made a top and covered it in 1/2" backer board, screwed and liquid nailed it to keep it rigid.

A 12x50 and no tripod JR?
The biggest I carry, without tripod, is 10x42. As far as comparing 15x56 Swarovski vs Vortex, you really can't tell much difference when glassing under say 2 miles, except dawn or dusk and even then it's minimal imo. Past a couple miles out, the swaros can pick up smaller details (antlers) better.
Then there's a difference between HAD and the older versions. Some guys love the hds, and some like me prefer the non-hd models.

EDIT:meant 15x56

Have a little Coffeve this morning Don?

Matt, check in when you can. My mom is near Atlanta...haven't talked to her in a while...but that's far enough north hopefully.

Dave, your garage is larger than my business and my house together!! Picks of the machine shop? same question as JR...any machines left behind?

I'll cook what you all bring.  Sure enough

Can you blame NK for hating us? Didn't we take out 20% of their population in the war, with hundreds of thousands of bombs, and napalm? The only countries that we don't attack are ones with nukes. jus sayin

I've watched some of those "fancy pool" shows, where they use similar stones from Tennessee (and probably the tuck among others) to build grottos and such.

One of my fears is that if Cali gets hit, there will be mass exit stage right...

.....right to where I am! (JR is welcome anytime). I guess it makes sense, we're getting a theme park here in my town shortly (they're voting on it today)

You have to have deap pockets to have an Escalade hybrid imo. All wheel drive issues, afm issues, roller lifter issues, $600 shocks, and everything associated with the hybrid system is mucho pricey.
.. I believe they switched from the 6.0 to the 6.2 in late 06 iirc...400 hp all aluminum

Come on guys, lets be a little more serious here. He could easily cut one side of that tank off, with a chainsaw, and it would clear the tailgate. Bending the tailgate seems a little extreme.  :)

I, for one, am satisfied.

Well finally was able to make it home from work yesterday afternoon due to Harvey. Had been there since Sunday morning. Wife and daughter were home alone through the whole thing. We didn't have any water damage, closest water came was about 4 ft from the garage so it was getting close. Only spent 36 hours approximately without power. Fortunately everything in the freezer stayed frozen. Unfortunately my daughters birthday was Tuesday si I wasn't able to be with her on her b-day.

There are houses only a mile or so down the road that are flooded as well as many of the streets.

I just thank God that he kept my family and home safe through the storm.

I just replaced the fuel pump on my toyhauler with that same style of pump, I became a pro at disassembly and "thinning/shaving" of the plastic pump gears after the fuel would cause them to swell and seize the pump solid. motor would sound like it was locked up and I got no flow, lots on the web about this issue. I even considered having a machine shop turn some custom billet gears to replace until I saw how much they wanted   .... I don't know how else you would keep this from happening...
When I "rebuilt" my toyhauler recently, I replaced the gears in the fuel pump, cleaned the tank, and use it at least every 2 months to keep the varnish out of the gears....last week I went to use it, and it was locked up again. urrr

Cool.

I can't even keep my truck between the lines!

3950
Mostly the rear axle Sam, she was hurtin' for sure. lol
I ended up putting the front bucket over the bed of the truck just to get it home. It wouldn't back up the ramps without hitting the hoe...I'll either make longer ramps, or use blocks next time.

Shawn, the NH remote actually bolts to the side of the hydro lift housing and came with the correct hard lines ...but...probably could've tee'd into the fel feed, but I took the easiest route (for now)
