Come on JR, the jawhorse would be way out of his "budget", and it has way more levers/buttons to figure out! haha

I think he did comment on one of our pics of the jawhorse, but I think he was wanting a more traditional style (read:cheap)... maybe.

4757
Looks great!

You checked the red wire for power?

...pin A11, red=power
pin A12, black=ground

I haven't seen one of those since HS....an agitator maybe? I actually made one from an old ice cream maker, turned on it's side, that drops a slim bar down through the lid. We do probably 20 carbs a year and I must say, it works pretty good!

Get some of this boss. I promise you that it is the only way to go. ...smaller version of what shops use.....very efficient. ...will melt plastic .(Also works well at removing paint on small projects )
Take carb completely apart, soak all metal pieces for 4-6 hours , rinse with water, blow out thoroughly,  reassemble.

Agreed^^
Carb and/or valves. Probably need to dip the carb and jets to get all of it. ...regular carb cleaner usually isn't strong enough. Seafoam  works on thin layers but can take days to get rid of buildup

I was kidding on the wd40 thing mr Wil....well almost. When I was a kid, I used it quite a bit on my old marlin 22. Cleaning wasn't part of my skill set back then.(only a small part now. lol) It's actually a pretty bad lubricant.

If the JD hood is like my NH one, it's plastic and mine faded within 2 years. Wax kinda works for a while then it fades worse the next time.

I wouldn't worry about the pin as much as that worn out bushing. It's letting the a-arm bang forward, striking the pin.

Not a word.

4779
If a rocker is loose, then you'll know if it has a sticky valve. Maybe throw some seafoam in the tank and let it idle for a few? I use the heck out of that stuff out here where gas will varnish in 3 months of heat..

That was on "how it's made" not too long ago....the JD mowers...Cool stuff, BIG powder coat oven.

oh, and subbbbbed

4782
Maybe the gas was just old enough to mess with something..
Could be the intake valve(s) are a little tight.....gummy tight or adjustment tight. I'd take 5 minutes and run the valves. I think you're supposed to do that after break in anyway.

Firearms / Re: From the files of "man I want one of those"
« on: August 02, 2016, 11:53:09 PM »
That's what I was doing the math on:

Let's see, 23 hrs 0 minutes on the Dillon 650, then,

1 minute of trigger time at most, then,

59 minutes picking up brass and cleaning the gun.

Then Repeat as needed.

This is the best pic I can get of the cluster. The red one comes straight from the BCM (power) and the ground ends up on the right side A-pillar. If the radio/other switches are dimming, then it's not a fuse.
Suspect BCM, the red and black wires, or cluster.

Yesterday I got the big forklift running, leveled some ground with the tractor, and set the 2nd container in place and almost got heat stroke. Still feeling it today.
Next I'll hook the 2 together with a roof to give me a new parking spot for the Jimmy.
