Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / Second Korean War
« on: April 29, 2017, 09:27:33 AM »
Well, gents, hang onto your horses, I now think its coming.

With the failed NK missile test yesterday, I think that was the last straw.

That massive artillery test last week was bad enough to push our resolve, but the missile firing is it

And it has to be done

I'd expect tomahawk strikes on all missile, and nuke sites along with massive H-Hour bombing of all that artillery along the coast and near Soeul. Soeul will get pummeled but not for long. Those tubes won't last long. That will be followed by an invasion of the SK military along 4-5 axis of advance along with our forces. We will decapitate their leadership and have to destroy a good segement of their military then it will be over. 2-3 weeks and its done

And its coming

Now why does it need to be done?

Does NK need to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile to hit the US?

Short answer is NO.

They already have the capability to utterly destroy the United States.

They have been working with the Iranians.

The Iranians have been firing missiles off a freight container ship in the caspian sea. They detonate the warheads at an altitude of approximately 100 miles.

What that just did was to validate they can loft something of that weight to that altitude and detonate it. That something was a bomb. Fired from a ship 50 miles off the east and west coast of the United States will create an EMP effect that will shut down both coasts inland for hundreds of miles, In the post EMP confusion, our country will fall apart and be vulnerable to invasion.

We have to kill that snake soon.

I used steel shot from shotgun loads.  Ran them in my 03's tires for a few years.  Still looked like new when I replaced tires.  I forget what shot size I used.  I still have the remainder of the box of shells someplace I am sure I could find though.  I don't really do any waterfowl hunting so I haven't had a use for them.

You cut open good ammunition? The horror!

I tell mine to leave the situation if they can and just report it immediately. If it's physical, I have told them to take necessary steps such as an arm lock, punch in the nose or similiar to protect themselves, take a couple steps back and prepare for retaliation (Knife...club??) When the situation is stable, go find an adult...

If it's harassment which my boys get frequently because they are Christians and pretty well set in their morals, just look at the bully as a moron who is not worth their time. Do not cower, do not retreat, just carry on. Do nothing until the person touches them, then take them out violently and quickly.

It has happened. My boy was not suspended, but the other one was

Be prepared to fight an uphill battle with wussies (School administrators) who think we all have the right to flee. They will not like you, and probably consider you beneath them (Neanderthal) so you will have to argue and present logically and in congruence with common sense and the law.

Ultimately we are allowed to defend ourselves

We get the cold pressed, unrefined stuff from Costco and use it every day. My wife uses it for makeup removal and skin moisturizing, but we also put it into our morning coffee (with some sweetner) and blend it in the blender to froth it up like a cappuccino. Even use it as a teeth whitener... and it works great.

A small oversight. Looks like your solution will be fine though.

Yea, It will work. That is not the weight bearing end of the mill. I won't see a lot of 20 foot logs

We continue to clear and clean the property in between tasks and the results are starting to speak for themselves. I did loose one day to rain, so I didn't get into the barn to salvage 30-40 of these very long 3" X 4.5" rough sawn poles which someone had nailed in all over to stabilize the thing when it was first starting to fail, I'd guess

The mill is leveled through adjusting the many feet along the span. With doing no leveling at all, I am pretty close already:

And positioned it in such a way as to allow the log stops to recess all the way without having to swap them out for the shorter stops

The mill rails are secured to the beams by screwing the feet directly to the beams. I put four #9 X 2.5" screws in each of a bunch of feet.

Keying on the advertising of being able to cut a 20' log, I forgot to account for the two foot overhang due to the width of the mill head. So...it looks like I am not done building the support base. I think the 6 X 6 beams come in a six foot length, so I'll pick up two of those along with six bags of crete and finish the job. I already added the pieces of wood to be used as splices, I'll add some steel on the other side to strengthen it all up

Mounting them was a simple affair as well, utilizing two different steel connectors to hold everything solidly in position

18187
Hide Site / Re: Hide Site/Bug-out location Construction, Part 4
« on: April 22, 2017, 05:34:09 PM »
That process was rather simple

By mounting the first beam close to the right side, the side I will be walking on while cutting boards I'll avoid skinning up my legs. The additional space on the left will serve as a mount for the ramp, should I later build one

I did that, then measured off that to get a parallel arrangement of the two 20' 6 X 6 posts

At the risk of invintin' more "Chicken-Pluckers build threads" I'll post up some forward progress

First of all, I got the water supply problem from the "Water-House" sorted and took my first long shower in the camper. Problem is that that little 12 volt pump pushing through the 1/2? PEX is not producing very much pressure at the shower head. I'm going to have to rethink all of that I'm afraid.

I may have to say, it's not good enough and re-engineer the whole thing. If I do, then I'll add a regular home pressure pump running on AC and replumb with 3/4" line

I have to think about all that and get some advice first, but the shower flow is less than it was with the spindly factory camper supply pump which draws off the 40 gallon supply tank.

I have often wondered about that myself.

The HD 2" stuff is pretty stout, I've never broken one

So I use a pintle hitch, so try finding one of those built on a 2.5" base!

I just use a Curt 2" Pintle inside the spacer and call it a day

So, here's my prayer for her:

Sovereign father, Jehovah Gyria, I petition thee to place knowledge on this afflicted woman and her family. Show them, Father God that they have authority over infirmity bought by the sacrifice and covered by the blood of our savior. We love you Lord and thank you for loving us. We acknowledge and thank you that you gave us such tools to actually minister to ourselves and over those we take authority over as it was set to be in the heavenly realms. Show her and her husband and other family members that sickness is a conquered foe, that we can control such things, although seeming to be miraculous, really just a part of your wonderful plan for us. As the head in heaven rules over the body here in earthly places, the body has hands and feet and fingers and a mouth to do that which the head has given authority to do. Father in the name of Jesus, give this revelation to these people, in the name of precious Jesus I ask it, amen.
