Here are some facts that folks need to remember:
- I nor Don have access to the original HTML files that was used to create this website,

- the hosting platform has been bought out several times since we have been using them and the conglomerates that now own them are slowly making it unfeasible to continue with the current
platform, causing us to have to migrate to something new in the future,

- this forum is mobile compatible to an extent, but it needs work,

- don and I are doing some work behind the scenes, we will let you know when then time comes,

- kyle had to do some fenagling just to get tap a talk to work to begin with,

- every couple years when tap a talk starts messing with their upgrades and all that crap, these same problems arise, and people start getting boo boo lipped because the garbage app they are
using is not working correctly and then want to blame the website for something they absolutely have no control over,

- if you are having a problem with tap a talk, YOU need to contact them! The problem is on their end alone!

- don’t believe me? … just do a google search for tap a talk problems and you will have millions of articles on the subject,

- people contacting me with site problems is what I am here for, so if you took my original post personally … then you need to re-evaluate yourself.

So … the bottom line is this, yes I am aware of the tap a talk problem, RM has nothing to do with it or caused/causing it, tap a talk is known to be a schiff app with many problems.

Just because somebody went through the "leadership" course, it does not make them a ranger ... it only makes them qualified.

Didnt know the C5 did it too, but makes sense with the narrow under carriage.

By the way, I think that was a "secret" for many years on the 52, wright? Oh and its all 4 sets of gear on the 52 that pivot for those not knowing.

Ever read the "flight of the old dog"? Cool book.

I have read all but 1 maybe 2 of the books in that series.  Good series, and some crazy, cool descriptions to help the imagination.

Planning on zero snow now right?

Thats what im hopeing for ... lol

Thats just cute Nate.

I am actually trying to sell that set up and get the next step up (b2601).

The only reason i am stepping up is for pure loader lifting capacity.

The bx2680 (with hydraulics turned up) can barley curl 500lbs, and gets ass end wiggle with a bucket of dirt.

The b2601 has a lift capacity of around 1150 lbs. Plus it has a higher hydraulic flow rate of 8 gpm compared to 6 gpm on the bx.

If i can justify it, i will get a hydraulic rotary broom next year, so as to assist with light snow.

If you have a little creek nearby and you aren't winter trout fishing I'm not going to speak to you for a while.

Lake creek, about 500 yards out my back door. However, for reasons I won’t delve into very deep on the interwebs I cannot get a mt st license until a couple things in Colorado get finalized. So I refuse to pay out of state fees atm. Sorry

I will concede in that case. Same for me, had to be a full time resident for a set amount of time before i wasn't paying TRIPLE for licensing.

I just got my lifetime hunting and fishing license along with my lifetime nebraska parks pass (already have the national one). It also came with all the stamps and what not for anything except exotic game.

The cost was free due to my disability status.

Oh, and I seem to have found that off-road trail APP I was looking for. It actually came with the purchase of my jeep, at least a 6-month trial did. I downloaded it today and opened it to find a lot of the KAT and Daniel Boone trail system appears in the database

That system is OnX Offroad

That app also has a hunting version which shows you all public info like who owns it, the boundry lines, etc.

Nate,
I like those
and
I was looking for some boots for the winter. Love my Tecovas as much as I do, they have a smooth sole and no-bueno on ice/snow.
I'm digging these, do you wear them? Usage report possibly?

I have had these for a little over 1.5 years, and they are still very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.  From March to late November they do not see usage except when i have to get presentable for a formal event and then they will get a coat of polish.

They do have them in steel toe, and i think composite toe as well. Keep in mind that these have a zipper on the back of the boot.

« on: November 21, 2022, 09:09:37 AM »
No, many reasons why.  You saw one of them right there with that airshow.

Most of you know just having experience or a pilot saying they have X thousand hours dose not mean they are good pilots or use good judgement.

The CAF dose not have a stellar reputation, I will not bad mouth because I have not dealt with them personally.  Do a internet search and you will see what I mean.

I used to run around and work the airshow/air race scene but I learned real fast what that was all about.

I like to go to airshows but do want to be part of the "groupie" crowd

MOST of those owners are just into the flight suits, glamor, rich guys that don't have really any appreciation of the aircraft they own.  Its a shiny new toy that is more investment than a airplane.  They do the absolute MIN to keep the plane flying UNLESS it involves polishing or some new avionics package.  In most cases they are just own the machine to stroke their ego.  They hire the cheapest people they can find to work on the planes that should not be consuming oxygen let alone working on airplanes.

I love flying, all types of aviation.  I love the mechanical aspect of aircraft and enjoy working on them as much as flying, I just want a solid mechanical bird everything else is secondary.

The T28 or any "warbird"  for that matter is not something you buy to be a easy/pleasant flight experience.

If you want nice you would buy a PC-12, TBM or Caravan or Piper M600

its interesting sometimes when you can get a peek behind the facade and find out the truth.

Had to go to Spokane and pickup eldest daughter from airport for a weekend visit. Forgot the hour time difference and ended there an hour early so I stopped by Nicks Boots where I’ve had an order with for several months. Looks to be another dozen weeks yet however I did get to actually try a set on.

I originally was fitted (measured) at a shoe store in Ft Collins, co but did not get to try them on. All I can say is I’m stoked about these after having a set on for ten minutes.

For what I paid though I’ll need to be buried in them. In all reality I destroy a set of boots on average every six months or so. Those mass produced boots of low quality run maybe $200. So my thinking is if these Nicks boots last a year and a half which is easily doable then I’ll break even roughly and my feet should be happier. If I get 2 years from them then I saved money and if I have issues I can send them in for repairs. My thought is if these hold up like I think they will I’ll order another backup set in six months.

I drove thru Ken’s area twice today, didn’t see him or H so they must still be lost in the woods….
Wow, I never thought I knew another 6month boot breaker! Not me mind you, but my second oldest brother who follows dogs for a living. He has worn every brand of boot until the soles fall off. He does a lot of riding now but I don’t think he manages much past 7/8mos. He wears asolo and kennetrek. His fail simply because boots are not designed for the miles he puts on. No idea how asolo would stand up to shop life. Couldn’t test it if I wanted to.

I look forward to seeing how these Nicks work out for you.

your older brother would happen to be rich lewis would it?
