Thanks Dave. As soon as I get the facia painted over the porch I can install the gutter on the sawhorses in the foreground and get all that picked up.

Well. Got the casita prepped and started shooting paint at 8 am saturday. Was done with main areas by 10:30. Then went to town to get paint for the dormer. Along with several paint color samples to test on the trim. Got on the roof again and taped and papered off the area and shot the dormer. Getting closer. Picked the trim color. I took the two the wife kinda liked and dumped them in a container and mixed them 50/50. Boom. Done. Now I have to get a couple of gallons and finish the trim and I’m done with the outside of both houses and can move to plumbing and finish electrical. Also installed the 2 LED can lights on the porch and installed gooseneck lights over the door and the gable window. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So painted the casita today. Sprayed 7 gallons of Emerald Sherwin Williams. And then 1 gallon of a different color on the dormer. Now testing some trim colors. Smoked 2 packs of chicken thighs and my daughters brought friends up to hang in the pool. Good day so far. Dancing by the fire pit to the first song my wife and I danced to 31 years ago. No video. From what I've read the LML trans is nothing like the old version of the Allison. It's held some pretty hefty HP with just a TC change.

Sorry sir, for I feel that, once again, I have let our illustrious leader down.
But hey I’ll try to be more proactive. When you get ready to fire it up for the first time, make sure you remove the shop towel from the turbo inlet first.....

Don. Refresh my memory on why you decided to replace the pump?
Also Ken may chime in here but I’ve heard that the O ring for the tube on the pump has created problems for some as it can roll out of position as you are reinserting it. I would have told you to make sure and lube the inner surface of the O ring and the mating surface of the pipe but since they are already back together.....I may get reprimanded for failing to tell you sooner.
Also sir, I see your safety snap ring is not correctly installed on your fumoto valve. I would think a helo pilot would like to have safety retention devices installed. With all the stuff you run over you don’t need the valve to inadvertently get opened.
Other than that it’s looking like you are making good progress.
CM sir.

Blaine it’s funny you should say that. I tell my daughters to tell potential suitors that I have a backhoe, a bag of lime, and live next to 18000 acres of national forest.

Not sure I’m qualified to answer this question but I can only say that as I get older I look for more ways to avoid conflict( as opposed to instigating it- and I still fail sometimes, especially in traffic). I avoid it but want to be aware and ready if it ever comes my way. Oh and for you Blaine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Today I power washed the casita to get it final ready for paint. Picked up another 5gal pail of the Emerald Sherwin Williams paint and caulked all the remaining areas. This time I bought some heavy brown rolled paper and i plan to tape off the windows to avoid having to clean overspray with thinner.
Mowed a bit and realized I'm losing the battle with the fire ants. gonna have to up my game there. Then the rain set in so I wove a paracord bracelet for a g shock watch I had laying around.
Then came home to play cards with the kids and wife. Did I mention that teenage girls are silly?
All in all a good day. Family coming over for bible study tomorrow.
Ambro fire ant granules, comes in a white bottle with a black label, poor some on their nest hole and they all die! We’ve used it at two houses with great success.
I've been using amdro for a while now. Seem to be chasing them around the pasture area. Not sure if you have imported red fire ants where you are but these things are like the mongrel hord. unstoppable, innumerable, vicious, well armed. There are several classes of treatments. Bait, like amdro that effects the metabolism, insect growth regulator (makes the queen sterile), and flat out contact incecticide. I think I'm going to look for a combo product that has IGR and bait. I think I've going to try Extinguish Plus and at that I'll broadcast over the entire area. And just to be mean, I may pour liquid bifinthrin on the individual mounds to get a head start.

Trying to set a better example for the girls and not fiddle with the phone while driving.
Picked this headset up today.
Will update performance when I get a chance to use it.

So tested the sound quality and the noise cancellation is amazing. Rolling down the highway in the Bus with 5 inch exhaust in that drone zone of 1500rpm on rough asphalt and it was like I was in a quiet office setting. The ear piece provides great audio quality but takes some getting used to. I’ll have to research some of the voice commands and the operation of the smart button but so far it’s well worth the $100 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Reminds me of the time I POd the Baytown PD by shooting up their steel plates with some penetrator ammo by mistake.

I swore I wouldn’t be a slave to the grass but I fight the urge to manicure it. I want it to get established but I’ll probably wait until I get a well drilled before I think about sprinklers for the grass. I have a 6 zone controller and 2 zones running already for the garden and the landscape beds. It would be easy to add on. Just some pvc and sprinkler heads and I have a lot already laying around.

Thanks guys. That area stays in the shade. I plan to build a little privacy fence around it but that’s about it.
I also have the home internet interface that will allow me to monitor and operate it remotely from anywhere in the world.
Not sure I want or need that but I may send it back.

Thanks. Tried out a trim color today. Then reinstalled downspouts and lights and cleaned up equipment. Then cleaned overspray from windows and automated the pool. The guy never explained about pool automation and I’m glad he didn’t. I did for $750 what he was going to charge $2500 for. Now I have a floating waterproof remote that I can control the settings.
