Any pickup, paperwork is easy. They consider it a car now.
Sounds like liberal logic. Just like " hey we passed gun control laws, problem over"

I’d like to take my titanium Rem 700 Alaskan 308 and build a 7WSM
It’d be a bit brutal on the shoulder at 6 pounds but what a great long range hunting rig

Yeah. Went to the Royal Gorge a few years ago and there were teens with their parents wearing pot leaf t shirts saying “my money grows on trees”

Not impossible but your 30.06 is a long action and the 308 is typically a short action.

Bear is right on the money with his description, yeah I’m 10 Into it with the can.
However if you have a rifle already you can send it off and have it trued and a match barrel put on it for a lot less
Add a stock later and DBM and better glass but getting the action set up is the key.
Also, the most important part is the trigger. It takes a lot, a lot, of practice to get good with a mediocre trigger.
IMO nothing finer than a Jewel HVR set at 2.5 pounds. A good trigger makes all the difference. All my bolt guns have the same trigger, even my box stock hunting 308. I know how the trigger feels and it’s one less variable when shooting different weapons.
Once you shoot with a can you’ll never want to shoot without one. :-) it also reduces recoil as effectively as a brake.

I've always been a big fan of Sherwin Williams Duration. I'm open to use other paint, but paint is like tires. No sense being penny wise and pound foolish.

.308 is a great round and doesnt get the respect it deserves.
It will make a good shooter out of you because you have to read the wind. Distance is a matter of having a dope card.
I have a 19.5 inch barreled 700 in .308 and have made hits to1000.
Honestly, Shawn, this may sound self serving, but spend the coin and get you a really great custom rifle. Then you know for a fact when you miss it is you and not the rifle.
My GA Precision will shoot 1/4 inch 5 shot groups with handloads. I know when I miss, it is me and not the rifle. Usually its the wind call that I miss. Distance is easy but the wind is a real test.
Just set aside $10k for the gun and optics. Then you are good to go!

Don’t mind them as much as them leaving trash everywhere. It’s just a junky store compared to Lowe’s.

Well the sides went much quicker than I thought, even with the compound angles where the pieces hit the 45 degree roof and the 4/12 soffit. I finally stopped advertising for Lowe’s. 6 months from start of framing to complete shell. Just have the front side to finish caulking and then paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dave, my wife asked the same thing. I could have trimmed all the tabs even at the bottom but decided against it and just leave it like it is. I reckon at least 40-50 trips up the ladder today at 20ft. Legs are feeling it but the whiskey is helping....

Well. If I had to do over again I’d just run hardi plank all the way. This stuff is a pain. Almost 8 hours to do this one side. Just the two dormer sides to go and those will probably be worse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just firebrick lined concrete with dry stack mortared to the outside and flagstone on top. No propane, just a center drain to relieve it of water. I do have a big weed burner I used to start fires

Stain the steps and paint the riser. A high quality paint will wear scuffs well. My house has had stained treads and painted risers for 9 years and no scuffs.

If you search unimog axle conversions guys have been doing them for some time on the 404 & 416 portal axles. The problem with them in stock configuration is obviously the axle gear ratio. Build a center nine chunk and have double ended shafts built and you can then bolt the outer’s onto that nine axle housing. Off road guys love the ground clearance those portal axles have. I used to cut the raw components for WEPS off-road and I even sold his product for awhile. Andy guy who ran it was a former Navy Sea Bee so he has some machining experience.....
I’ll look into it. I had researched unimogs extensively about 8 years ago and was going to drop serious coin on a frame off doka rebuild but the axles kept me from doing it. At that time all I found was custom gears for the portal axles but that option seemed to be limited and the top speed was still too low. I’d want a comfortable cruise rpm at 70 even if it meant modifications to the 6 banger diesel to get the power. Dave..... I’m not as good as I once was but I’m as good once as I ever was ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is an idea, if the unimog had more speed I would say get one of those or a oshkos type truck start with a already bulletproof frame

Convert the axles in the unimog to a 9” center section, get any ratio you want. Buddy of mine does the conversions.

Are you saying your scared of spiders....he may just be thirsty and was lookin for a drink
Spiders scare me more than snakes. Especially ones that measure more than 3.5 inches across. Nothing good has that many legs. My wife made me promise not to kill it. I wanted to take the flamethrower to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You probably already know this but don’t poison them. They die in the most inconvenient locations and then stink up the place for a year or more dead in the wall
Use mechanical means. Sticky traps or other. (No not the Benelli M4, too much collateral damage)

Ok so last night we had big rain. Today I cleaned up in the shop, changed the oil in the HH6 minivan. Test fit some 2x4s in the shipping container. Bible study about charismatics. Cleaned up outside some misc junk. Then moved a stack of firewood to a new location and cut up 5 cedar trees and stacked them up. And cut two small cedars near the pool. Hope they get this thing done this week. Found this big ass tarantula lurking on the side of the pool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
