When we are done. I will have room for 8 to have their own bed. Then maybe an RV hookup. Might have to have a RM reunion.

Tomorrow I’ll pull the #1 AL cable from the main panel to the sub panel and the casita will be running on it own power. 100 amp breaker.
Btw. After careful consideration I will probably use a 3.5gpm norritz tankless heater with a 15 minute timer on the ignition circuit. 15 minutes of bliss and then.....ice cold.

...I would want to be trained by FBI/SEALS/US MARSHALLS some group that actually know their stuff and I would want to have to pass such a course with accuracy and stability...
I don’t want someone buying a gun, shooting a few rounds 2-3 times a year, passing a minimum standard qualification, then potentially wielding a hot handgun around a room full of kids in a stressful situation.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well in many jurisdictions that is exactly what you are going to get in first responders. For example. City Of Houston only pays for 50 rounds of ammo per year for each officer to pass qualification. Any additional shooting is out of their own pocket. Most don’t shoot more than the minimum required. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All that said, I do think anything that allows a high cyclic rate needs to be regulated. Not necessarily banned but stamped like a FA weapon.

Thanks Norm. Good discussion. My general angst is we have numerous laws that are not enforced and before I agree to more laws we need to make sure the ones we have are being effectively administered.
Why has the story of the Air Force not reporting the domestic battery for the church shooter in Texas just faded away? That would have DQd him had it been reported, as it should have.
Why the nut case in FL not taken into custody for terroristic threats when he said he wanted to be a professional school shooter? So many signs were ignored. And yeah with his mom's 800k inheritance I'm pretty sure he'd have gotten one black market.
Too many politicians equate passing laws with making a difference. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Norm not disagreeing on factual premise but I won’t acquiesce to a permit for firearms purchase until voter ID is implemented, a Wall is built on our southern border, and 4473 violators are prosecuted.

And that is the difference between liberals and conservatives. With their hearts, liberals believe that we should all work in the interest of the greater good. Conservatives know the reality is that human nature is selfish and acts in its own best interest. Therefore we should put guardrails around it. Thus, capitalism.

That kind of thing extends even into our military...
I may have been in a certain special ops unit
When during a party, a drinking party, one of our, err those pilots pulls out a Bretta 92F
He declares it is empty then proceeds to drill a hole through his foot in front of everyone...
Stupidity knows no bounds
I’ve shot enough with LEOs and others to know that professionals are often more dangerous than civilians. I cut ties with my trainer after he failed to send a cop home for a negligent discharge. We were doing a night shoot and we all checked each other’s weapons to make sure they were empty before running the evolution for the first time. Between the first and second run the HPD guy next to me decides to switch rigs and out his drop leg on. Well it was not empty. As we lit the target up with flashlight momentarily and then stepped right in the dark we were supposed to re-light and hear “click”. Next to me I heard “bang” fairly close to my head. No bueno. I think that guy also had Cheeto crumbs in his duty holster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s a lot of bloviating to get a simple point across. Not sure I agree completely. Until humans agree to pay more for goods than they could, businesses must necessarily go towards a lower operating cost to be competitive. That’s why the massive corporate tax cuts were so important and actually will raise some costs as labor costs will rise here ( good for American workers) I do believe that if a dumping situation or other extreme imbalance exists between countries then tarrifs are warranted.

Can you pipe it to the Eve. Worked for me.
It needs to exit the attic because of the moisture. There are eave grills that could work but I already have the metal roof jack. What suv takes def?

Put DEF in the wife's suv.
Installed a exhaust fan in the master shower. Its a large shower that has a glass door on each side but only about 6 inches open above each door, which means the hot humid air stays in the shower and is causing mold. Replaced the can light with a fan that looks like a can light but air gets sucked around the light and out the hose. Just have to cut a hole in the roof and install the roof jack vent.

Not there yet Ken. Hopefully by the middle of summer the casita will be done and I can actually enjoy all this.
Mike the pipe is a landing beacon for Don
It’s actually a drain. They will be lining it with fire brick all around so I think that will take care of the cracking issue. They do a lot of them and this time for a change I’m just writing a check.
