Amen brother. Amen. I'm at THE Houston rodeo tonight.  Shawn you should be proud.  Ivy Conrado from CO won $25,000 in the barrel racing in the finals without a stirrup. She lost it going around the first barrel and still finished first with a 14.29

Dave try northern tool or harbor freight. They have fiberglass welding blankets cheap. I plan to get a couple and sew a blanket for less than $50

Those are great trucks. However just be aware that diesels can put you in the poor house quicker than usain bolt can run the 100. My first diesel was an LB7 with 125k on it. Within a year I had $12k in repairs.

I think you said it had about 150K on it? If it has the 700r4 that is there life span.

Or about 35,000 when you put 500hp in front of it.....

washed the dually.  cleaned up the shop a bit and parked the LB7 indoors for a change.  policed brass on the new range. Sprayed some organic pest control on the  new plants in the garden.  On my way to the rodeo to see Willie Nelson  :thumb  Gonna Uber it since I have a pocket full of free drink tickets.

Want to see something funny...Sort of like a really fat girl on the back of a rice rocket...
What does "dating" (ahem you know) a fat girl and riding a moped have in common?  They are both a lot of fun but you wouldn't want your friends to see you doing it.

Dave I'm using starting fluid. I also have an electronic BBQ ignition but the fuel air ratio seems off. I may need to go back to hairspray. I even tried drilling a pilot hole and using a lighter. The starting fluid is probably just too rich.

So today was trash day at the hide. $2 a bag in town. Then I did some potato gun action with the kids.  Still having ignition problems. Either I need a new fuel or a new ignition.  Then I got to work in the garden putting in the drip irrigation again. Then worked on the footing for the casita.

In Texas there used to be hardship licenses. Your parent only had to attest to the "need" for a license. I took my test in a 1962 bel air, 350 with Z28 intake, 292 heads, Holley 650 and a comp cam. No power steering.  . I had a full drivers license at 14 no drivers ed needed. They stopped that years ago.

Was this before dirt was invented too?

It was at least more recent than 1962....  :-)

Nate probably still that way. I was let loose in the 4Th largest city as a 14 year old. Probably not the smartest thing my dad did.

Some. I don't push it on them too much. As much as they want and then let them move on to something else. If I push them they'll never want to do it. I needed the practice.  Drawing from concealed while moving was a bit of a challenge.

Gotta love the Craftsman range bag rofl

Got the 11 and 13 year olds on the Glock 17. The wife shot the 21. She was doing ok but after a few she was milking the trigger and off low and left just a bit. Kids did well with the g17 with me behind them for safety.  Even with them limp wristing it would not FTF

Today is target making day. Using what I had laying around. Some 6 ft T posts and weld on a mounting plate made of some purlin clips and some small targets and bolts. Wifey wants to shoot the G21 bedstand gun so I'm going to put up 4 of these targets and paint them different colors and call shots in colors.

Ok I may shoot some too. Jus saying
