In need of your prayers
« on: October 18, 2015, 09:39:05 PM »
Greetings fellas! I'd like to ask each of you for your thoughts and prayers. I injured my back in November 2012 and went through two fusions over the last couple years. I'm finally pulling myself through the injury and recovery portion. Last week I was finally given a release to return to work, but during my recovery I lost my job! Thankfully, all the prayers for healing and the hard work have paid off!

However, what I've learned since last Wednesday is that it's difficult to know where to start when your career has been one with one company primarily. I haven't job shopped in years and I've become a little discouraged re-writing my resume and creating a fresh cover letters for each job I get interested in. Friends, the job market also appears to be fairly tight.

Will you please offer your prayers that I won't become discouraged, that the Lord will lead me to the career that is appropriate and that it will be something that enables me to still enjoy my family regularly.

For those that don't know, I'm a duty disabled police officer that went into insurance management and then turned to insurance information technology. The next logical progression would be to move into IT project management, but I'm also interested in IT Business Analyst work, Business Relationship Management work and possibly sales. If you know of any openings with companies that you work with that will allow telecommuting and/or travel from Colorado, I would deeply appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Father in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For thyne is the kingdom, the power, and the glory
Forever and ever

Strengthen this man and lead him to the place and work you would have him do

Amen

On the way.  Have faith.  Have patience. This whole experience is to prepare you to relate to someone that he is going to put in your path.  He will provide for you and your family.  Be encouraged in Him.

Thank you all so very much. I have so many blessings in my life and I certainly count the fine members on this site among them. I really appreciate your thoughts, prayers and kind words.

Redneck, thank you for the PM. You are one of a kind. I found a couple things that I need to let you know about.

Thank you again!

I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.
