Do you think this guy is a good grab and shoot for the house/homestead?

Not at that price, buy an 870 or 500 & train with it. Think I'm in my tactical 870 for that or less. Should be post about it in gun forum....

Edit: & I have a double barrel still that I could use for home defense but picked it up used for a couple bills. Problem is reloading, with that gun you break it open & are out of the fight until the breach is closed. My pump gun or a semi for that matter can be loaded all the while the lethal end is pointed at the issue & ready to go. Add to that the limited 2 shots of a double barrel & the reality if someone has a gun and say has entered your dwelling let's say just about any firearm holds more than 2 rounds.

Not post I mentioned but worth reading

That was a good read.  Never really thought about a bayonet on a shotgun.  But hey they make them for a glock...tactifool on a handgun if you ask me.  I know it has a downfall of only two shots, also I hear the breech is a mule to break open.  But it is very solid and could def smash anything.  I have always loved my 870s, but I wouldn't mind getting a stagecoach bang bang or two.  It helps that a buddy I shoot with works at a gun shop.

That would work

If

1. You aren't scared and shaking (Which you will be)

2. and you hit the single intruder with one of two shots

3. you don't miss guy #2, because of #1

I'm with Shawn, the pump or even auto shotgun with a short barrel for home defense

In addition to what was stated above, I don't see the need for tactical rails on the double barrel. To me, that's just stupid. Why mount a reflex sight on one? In a self defense situation, it's a point and shoot.

Agree with the above, also unless something has changed those guns are made in Turkey just an FYI

Not a fan of the pic rails either.  It's almost as cool as a Rem 887 Nitro painted in green zombie skulls.

Yea, I don't get the whole skulls thing

In Armee spec ops, skulls everywhere

When I rode around on my Harley, same thing, color black and skulls everywhere

Ganstas: Like skulls

Inmates (I witnessed to them once upon a time) skull tats meant something

To me: skulls just represent death, and well, I'm not celebrating something I haven't qualified for yet!
