Harbor Freight Welding Table
« on: October 27, 2014, 08:32:05 PM »
Duane picked up a couple welding tables for me last month when they were on sale for $59.99 ea. Decent enough buy, I will use them as a base to assemble the A518 transmission for Square D.

They start with this modest collection of Chinese made parts. Sort of made me feel a little like eating some rice, but I pushed ahead!

They have the ability to fold flat for storage, and the top conveniently tilts to several angles to fit various projects

The black pieces on the top are long and short side dams which slide down out of the way or up to give you a square back stop for setup

Here's the twins ready for a piece of Masonite which will get all oil covered and nasty over the next week.

Well, the welding tables are currently transmission assembly tables with a nice MDF top...big enough to do some serious welding on once I get to working on that radiator core support again!

I saw those a few weeks back in an add, then saw you had a couple in the tranny build. They look OK, but how solid are they really?

Not the best by any stretch, but rated @ 350 lbs ea, or one standard kintucky woman per!
