Don, That shelf came out nice but I have a small suggestion. Cover the back for 2 reasons;

It will look all cluttered from the outside with all the stuff in there tinted window or not.

It will be pushed on and tested, shearing is needed to keep it solid. Even just the bases and a couple compartments will help a lot.

Going to paint it grey right :likebutton:

Over the last few months.  I have found that there is nothing that sets me off faster than my boys yelling, screaming at my wife.

Any of you folks have a solution or suggestion?

I am dealing with that and my youngest now. I have done a small slap or 2 when its me, but think more are coming. Wife calls me a bully, but it works.

Maybe it was just a small eel. The hook looks HUGE.

Catfish=good bait!

Could you have used a bigger hook on that eel?

Found this article interesting regarding the shackle flip and towing stability. You might already know all this, but I picked up some tidbits I didn’t know.

Post 11 covers what I was getting to.

I think a panhard rod would really help this issue as well as a sway with all that stuff up top!

Blind spot? They all have cameras now anyway. It was done to cut costs, one style=easier to produce.

OK, so done with moms house. Left there at 1430 Sunday.

Beam came out nice, did what feels like a million little things, I was burned out!

Now I get to go through what I brought over. My garage has never been more clogged!!

I'm not arguing about the upgrade. I mean a fluid change is just that,,,,,

Funny but you talking to Dave about the shackle flip vs the blocks is why I went with new springs (deavers).

For towing and heavy loads the stock hanger setup has the advantage. Stock hangers will be more stable as the load is in tension and naturally stays stable. With a flip it is twisting on the rear hangers, shackles and there is a torsional load on everything. Still not a bad setup even for the heavy Sub. No blocks either is a plus.

OK, caught up now but you need to tell us a new thread is going!

Glad that is fired right up, all the parts work!

I agree on the comma and number stuff, was taught that writing reports and it just works.

That would be cool if those brakes work. I will still take a FF over the SF anytime, just the 9.5SF is not a bad rear if you have a 1/2 ton.

Just make sure the water has a way out where the garage and wall meet. That may need addressing like sealing and a French drain.

Yep, just stick with the 5.3. The 6.0 way over priced and hit from the rear could mean the driveshaft got pushed into the tcase.

So may parts for all the LS motors and a stand alone harness is easy to find.

More storage is always nice. To bad about the damage.

Sure the truck doesn't care about the pin with just that trailer but it does looks better.

AR would be much better I bet.

Wasn't that long ago everyone around there was wishing for some rain. Kind of nice to drive along lake Shasta and see lake instead of small river.

You talking about 4-5 years ago? Been pretty good the last few years and they want to raise it. I hear Oroville is having issues again!

How bad are the taxes going up when it sells?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hopefully none. No state or fed inheritance unless it is like 5mil or so, plus it was an estate and I have letter saying it is tax exempt. There was an annuity but it shouldn't be an issue until next year since everything was issued this year.

You'll be OK Tex, just don't push it, but don't lay around to much either.

Doing the last of the DR on moms house. 2' of a 16' beam was rotted out and no real good way to scarf it out as it over hung, so I did the whole beam. Was under $40. Old beam was redwood and only held in finish screws. A few 2x4 to hold it up and came out easy when cut to 48" pieces. Primed with Kiltz and when finish paint when installed.

JR, buy twice as much as you need near Lake Tahoe, low down with small payments. Hold it for a couple years, sell off half and you can pay off the whole package.

Something to ponder. Found several lots for between 100-150, so a DP is all it would take.

We shall see, I close in 2 weeks and just have a little dry rot to address and a good cleaning. Then its a waiting game since here they can walk away with 3 days to go.

Nice jack stands! Not even webbing on the 80, just big and thick.

Do the wheels fit on the lugs? If the 14x1.5 are good enough for our Dmax, they should be fine for this. Restud.

SS tip would look nice or contour it.

JR, Dave said he has 63 acres.. don't think neighbors are an issue.
That's a good chunk of land for sure.

Love something that big. I keep looking but coming up short on what I want. Even in Ca and Or plots I like are great looking, forested and rolling landscape. In Nv for the same price it is just flat dirt!
