Probably right after thinking it over a little more. Not building a 500hp pulling rig.

Anyway ordered the upper thermo housing so close to have all I need cept the engine mount and finalize the tranny (rebuild or not) and then I saw the the GM 6L90 transmission.

Has an internal PCM, tap shift and braking. Would need a couple sensors but worth a look at.

Nice tinkertoy there. It does looks like they thought it out.

Dave try northern tool or harbor freight. They have fiberglass welding blankets cheap. I plan to get a couple and sew a blanket for less than $50

I hear he is on a short rope already, maybe this pulled it tight.

While cleaning the garage I kept moving a new/used vise around and said, enough of this. It was hard to use on the floor and not mounted.

I got this mount at HF awhile back for just $10. I did not plan on mounting it to the floor yet and the air compressor pallet seemed a good option for holding it down.

So I just lifted it a little, slide the base under the pallet and it was solid enough for everything but major wrenching.

The vise was a CL find, an older Wilton, "GM" brand with jaws 6in across and opens the same. It is smooth sans a little surface rust and dings. But hey, its a vise.

So a couple 1/2in bolts held it on just fine. Its a little close to the comp, but will do me for now.

I was just about to post about that. Thanks.

She came through surgery great, but they kept her overnight.

Got her around 1530 today, she was waiting in the chair as I drove up and hopped right in! She can't tell yet but I thought she was doing a little better. Then she went to Costco on her own to get samples (that is a weekly outing for her)

Anything that keeps it from coming up off the track? You are cutting pretty big logs on there that may move. Heavy or not you don't want that to happen.

With the help of a the kid across the street this 3/4 forged eye bolt found a home 25ft up.

Will use a cable to hold this end of the platform up.

I can't explain the picture orientation but it works when blown up.

Got this far with the big SS nuts/bolts/screws/washers and a little of everything else. This little bit is going in the trash.

Been finishing up the garage clean. I had really let it get bad. I can see more floor, much of the table which I moved for better access with a couple other items.

Even leveled the table (3/4 to even out the garage slope) and added a 2x4 to the center as it had sagged in the center.

Most boxes under the table are on mover dolly's. Then I hit the little parts bin!

What is that part number?

Nice start there. That old tractor looks small. Even a pic of BD in there,,,,, :beercheers:

See it took until post 17 to break something, well done!!

After watching the video and seeing this is there anything that keeps the saw from coming off the tract? Heavy or not there should be something.

It took EFI years to finally unlock the dodge trucks. The GM LBZs were the last year the ECM doesn't track what you are doing.

For doing the fuel filter, there is a kit for a cut out inside the fender well. I highly recommend it but easy enough to make you own.

You cannot have to much filtration. I run a 5 micron at the tank with 5psi pump and a 2 micron cat up top.

The LBZ is a great truck, just like mine.

Pump rub. See if that has been fixed or taken care of before it leaked. The Tcase pump will rub on the rear housing, passenger side right in the gussets. I glued mine and it has held fine but I really need a new rear housing. If it has oil underneath, thats it.

You can tune and retune the LBZ and it leaves no traces. With those miles I bet it was a vacation truck.

The hubs and the upper joints wear fast. You have to jack it up by the lower A arm to check. Nether is a big deal and you can check front end slop too.

Pics look good but a few are from a dodge.

Price if you don't mind?

Good luck!!

More Prayers sent, we need to keep those men around in good health.

On another note, My mother (Sally Bronk) goes in for a Pacemaker in the AM. She is 78 with COPD and mild heart issue and can barely cross a room right now.

She is the last of my family still on this great earth. She put up with my father who retired from the Marines (passed in 2000, 3xkorea-2xnam), me and my younger brother (passed in 89).

I think you said it had about 150K on it? If it has the 700r4 that is there life span.

Any options on neck size? Stock rad has a smaller neck but adapters are easy.
