Calc III?
Calc 2 intro

The idea is to find the area of one washer ( the basic idea is washer) and it follows the line F(X) with regards to g(x) and the 3 dimensional shape rotating around  the X axis.
Thus finding the volume the washer takes up.  Than add the trig stuff in and who knows what else you can do.  Thanks sir Isaac Newton

Is everyone done?

Should I parse out another page or two for the "Helpful" suggestions

OK, back at it. Two more days of reconfiguring nature down farmside.

First, check out the passive solar heaters. Can you believe the efficiency of these things? Outside air temp (in the sun, actual static temp was mid 50's. And the sensor located at the output of the heaters shows 100.6F Almost a forty degree delta there folks!

When I opened up the water tank storage shed doors, I was greeted by heat! As in it was actually hot in there. The high angle summer sun has some effect, however not all that much. The low angle winter sun just pushes photons into those black painted aluminum tubes. So far this thing is a stunning success. I will be using more of these things in my upcoming construction
Not fully remembering the build of this. Could you use the same idea on the roof of the shed? Would that work as well to gen heat?

Don, It looks like that is just a splice for the hose, why not a ball valve or a T of some type?    Either way far better than getting to the three inch hose on the bottom side of the Rad and the kid pool method.  I’ll look at adding that next time I do mine.
I have changed mine twice since owning the truck in five years. First was 100k and second Cooling stack cleaning

Maybe a chainsaw holster on the tractor with an ignition interrupt switch. If the saw is not in it the tractor won’t run

We could add that to the tac track thread, maybe get an oil change going, soon it will have a Cummins swap and light bars and extra fuel tanks, spare tire rack, shovel and high lift jack, pop top topper add some dust and we can have a..... oh wait we already have square tire dodge

So I followed grandma up the canyon to help out one of my nephews.  About 200 miles round trip.  Some good elevation changes and open road to poor on the fuel
Trans temps all stayed in the 150 max range on the way up with my grill cover in place, removed for the ride back home and the temps maintained about 135.  I think this was a good investment but I won’t know what a load will do until next spring for camp season.  Unless I end up driving the truck to LA for family vacation of Christmas.  Thinking about a .   Maybe drop the truck off at mikeL for a service

The view of the cooler from the front

You can barley see the top shinny aluminum brackets in between the grill and bumper

I really got a taste of what its like to have a couple of employees. With my bosses stroke I had to hire a couple of guys to help out. Number 1 hit and bent the heck out of the stacks on 2 trucks. Got too close with the grain cart. Put his cigar out on our new tractor and melted a nice round spot in the plastic fender.  I don't even know where you have to be in your brain to even think about putting a cigar out on painted surface. Let alone on the side of a couple hundred thousand dollar tractor. That he knew darn will is plastic! A couple days after he went back to his regular job I found about a dozen half smoked cigars in the floor drain in the shop. Why? Just Why?  On the up side he was early every day. Stayed late and never complained. If we ever bring him back there will be a strict no smoking policy. We all quit smoking and none of us can stand to be around it anymore anyway.

Then my Peterbuilt broke down. We couldn't get it on the low boy. Had to borrow a gas powered air compressor to strap on the back. Connected it to the air system on the truck and towed it 40 miles to a shop. My arms were sore that night.

Then our service truck went down. You turn the key and everything works but the engine wont turn over. No click no nothing. Pulled the started and solenoid. They checked out good. Found the trigger wire is not getting juice. Now I have to find a short someplace or maybe the switch is bad. I don't know.

The Case pay loader broke down for the hundredth time. We just got in the pickup and went straight to John Deere in Sioux City and traded it off. We have had that thing for 10 years and it has been POS from day one. And that's not even half of whats going down around here. I will be glad when the weekend comes!
You sound ready for a vacation!
I thought that’s what you did once you became manger of people? Vacation !

Tomorrow will be a pretty light pull up the canyon about 180 miles round trip. I’ll report back.   The new cooler did come with all new hardware

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like to hear about it too. I flipped mine and debated the bigger one but I bought stuff for running duals that double the cooling area.

When I ordered it. I asked about flipping it he gave me two answers. One it’s not designed to push and pull fluid if it’s turned upside down the fluid will take path of least resistance and use less of the cooling stack surface area, second is the brackets don’t allow it.

If I had the aftermarket trans hoses I figure I could have more room to lift that cooler off the bottom but I only have the stock hard lines

He did say that I should see better cooking with it lower not flipping.  As I looked at it. The chev plastic bumper would completely cover my cooler.   I would need to move it maybe six or eight inches higher to get it up in the grill area not behind the bumper. I’ll take some forward shots when I get in the day light today to see if my logic is sound

What a view Dave. If the wife would go with me I’d move to UT tomorrow.

This afternoon we looked at a 20 acre patch for sale a little further out of town. When we got there a guy and his family were stuck in the field next to the road. They’d come to look at the same property and bit off a little too much for a 2x4 pickup. The F150’s hitch took out a chunk of pavement and we lifted a rear wheel off the ground but we got him snatched out without much trouble. No winch so I’m glad I had a pull rope with me.

Then I worked up some .270 loads using 130gr Barnes TTSX with hopes of trying them out Wednesday. First time loading monolithics so I’m interested to see how they shoot.

I have not given much thought to this but asking the wife this same question just now was fun

Kids would take five min just alone.  One would run right the other would go left and the dogs would all need to pee!

I would hook the trailer and make the ten year old grab some Levi’s instead of the dam  basketball shorts all these stupid kids are wearing all the time

We had a very similar a few miles away as well. Fire rushing off the mountain and the canyon winds just fueled it.

My good friends list was simple. Just him and his wife

She grabbed the stuff inside the safe,
She grabbed the go bags
He opened the pool cover ( for the heli to drink from and to save the cover from ambers if possible)
He started the 55 chev bell
They beat the rush out of the valley and were able to watch neighbors homes burn to the ground.
https://www.ksl.com/?sid=45684067&nid=148

Lots of really fancy homes with high dollar cars and gun safes

One home had the extra neighbors driving lambos and Ferrari’s and all kinds of classics out of the house to save.

I pulled my mobile storage unit out today.  One so I could Put the moto trailer behind a gate behind the 27 foot trailer.  Two so I could see how the duramax did pulling it. Three to see how much it weighted at my local cat scale

Truck did really pretty good considering I still haven’t added that transmission cooler ( it in transit) and I am still in major need of airbags for the rear of the truck to keep me level

Nothing like taking my six inch lift and making it stick lol

Doesn't take much moisture to make a mess.

I know there is potential for a big fire if it did ever light.
