I saw this on FOX news yesterday.  Discusting. Watch the reaction of the guy in the grey shirt behind the girl.  That’s my same reaction.

I watched the recording too.  I found it very impressive.  Human engineering at it still very young prime.  Although the bad comes with the good.  We may one day be too smart for our own good.  I digress.  Imagine that car just hanging out in space top down cruising. HAHA

I too have been thinking of going the aiwb route. I currently utilize an alien gear iwb for the .38 bodyguard on my 8:30 clock. It is rediculously comfy but I print even that small frame. I also have been wanting to carry my Shield 9 more with which I am very proficient. But sitting down in the truck with a seatbelt on is negative for comfort. Maybe I’ll look into the steel clip that can be installed on the back of the slide for a minimal holster footprint. Anyone have experience with that approach?
I hate them. Too difficult to safely reholster. Generally sit too deep for good purchase on the draw. One point of contact (the clip) allows your weapon to rotate too much for a consistent grip. Too many people carrying that way wo a proper trigger guard as well. Alien gear holsters are pretty bulky. I’d encourage you to try out a crossbreed and better cover garments. Dark colors eliminate shadows, decrease signature significantly.

When considering a ccw posture, too many people have their priorities mixed up.

1. Quality apparatus
2. Economy of time, economy of motion (drawing and reholstering)
3. Concealability
4. Comfort

Most people don’t walk around looking for guns printing. Save us, us cops and realmen. We get overly paranoid about printing and overly hung up on comfort when we should be assessing our battlespaces and gearing/training up appropriately for them.

I can see your point on being difficult to reholster. I have a simple concealmentexpress iwb kydex for the shield it’s very easy to draw from and to return it. It’s actially quite pleasant to practice with, just dang uncomfortable to wear all day(also 8:30ish). Maybe I’ll just keep on keeping on.

About being overly preoccupied with who sees the CW, I certainly remember I was just that. When I first started carrying I adjusted all the time even looked at my reflection whenever I could. I was def a noob and it showed. It took a while to gain confidence. What did help me is just what you said, I finally understood that the general publics’ psyche isn’t tuned to who is hiding something. But they sure will be if you aren’t comfortable in your own skin!!  Usually those that may notice have one too and know better. You nod and move on.

Very nice acquisition, Don.  What is your main goal for it?  I didn’t read all the posts so I may have missed it.  Good thing you got the enclosed cab, that is the best way to go for sure.  If not for heat or cold, for thick dust that covers EVERYTHING.  That’s going to be a fine machine for you.  I have  sooo many used for a skid steer at the property. They are one of the most versatile tools Ive ever used.

When are you painting it Armee Green?

That is a nice set up. I’ve seen these that just about took up the whole bed so I didn’t look twice. This one offers a little more room elevation wise. I bet it’s stout enough to put a 4wheeler on top too. Very nice!  I would love to have that bed top too.  Pulling goosenecks don’t really work with that though. Great looking truck!

We live just south of the Atlanta airport. I heard from an electrician friend that supposedly a transfer room where emergency power would be routed burned up. This is all maintained by Georgia Power.  Even then, the busiest airport in the world would surely have 4-5 redundant systems to kick in at a moments notice. I think this stinks. Stinks like coverup.

I used to date a girl who had family in Leakey about 40 mins N of Concan.  It’s in the middle of ranch country and you had to ford a creek to get to the property.  It was fully secluded with its own dam.  It was the clearest sky I have ever seen and all the Axis deer you could eat!  I think about it all the time.  To bad her and I couldn’t work things out because I hate Im never going back!

I am appalled at the jury’s desicion to let this 7 time felon-5 time deportee go with just a nother felony.  Just another one to add to the list as a gun posession charge.  No big deal right, no big deal since he got off of being responsible for senselessly taking an American's life.
This is what this nation is coming to.  Come here as much as you want, soak up our benefits, hell even commit violent crimes.  Sounds like a twilight zone alternative universe where the green lights mean stop and red means go.

We had to try a few different powdered formulas (with both kiddos) before we settled on Similac Total comfort. Wife was not able to nurse.  Could be gas caused by not being able to digest that kind of formula.  It’s going to be a combination only learned over time. Her/his little body is getting used to the real world, digesting food and growing so very fast.

Is this your first?  My advice would be just go through the motions. Calm mommas freaking out the best you can. You guys will all learn these changes together.  A lot of these formulas have high iron content and will make baby constipated.  We sometimes had to initiate “evacuation” with a q-tip and Vaseline very gently.

122
So basically, if you do wrong, make sure you do it so backwards and shameful that the PC police can involved to get you out of jail and get you paid.  Then you can make a ton of money writing a book about it.  Watch this will be next or a movie.  Only in aciremA.

I wish I could contribute to this thread, its a good one.  I never knew a grandfather on either side of my family tree.  Never was taken hunting or fishing.  It’s kind of something I struggle with.  I will see to it that I survive long enough to provide that kind of resource to not only my kids but theirs.  It’s so important to hand down knowledge and meaning within a family.  Its one of the things that makes a family just that.

Wouldn’t it be something IF: Campos was in on the whole thing but got cold feet and either staged himself getting shot to have an alibi or someone else shot him but didn’t have time to finish it.

This whole thing is a massive coverup. Some stupid loose end is going to screw it up for the shadow party. I wouldn’t be surprised if Campos, like the girl who interviewd about what she saw, just up and died in his home from natural causes.

Well it’s not an early morning rant, but I did have a bit of BRCC silencer smooth coffee!
Anyhow, I have been surfing the web a little lately and have come across John Mosby at Mountain Guerrilla and I’ve read some of his stuff. It’s harsh and brass and fact of the matter. I like it and plan on ordering his book “ The Reluctant Partisan”. Has anyone come across this site?  He also apparently teaches tactical preparedness classes across the nation. He supports another site called “The forward Observer” where the book can ordered and hosts more information about the going’s on in the world that the media may not be telling.

Interested in your thoughts.

^Agreed.  One post I read made real sense.  Why 23 guns with various scopes and bipods etc.?  There were meant to be many more individuals in there. Maybe there were, maybe they backed out.  However, I do not believe he did this.  I believe he is the fall guy.  And if you have watched interviews of the extremely weird brother, he knows something.

It most certainly sounds like multiple rifles to me, close together as for multiple shooters.  There were mirrored reverberations of gunfire due to the buildings proximities to each other in some of the videos but there were most definitely at least TWO different rifle reports.  Like I said I dont believe this retired accountant even had anything to do with this.  This is much much bigger.

Forgive me gentlemen, I am just thinking this Vegas massacre, the worst in recent US history is just too convenient for some things.  Not to mention what the brainwashers/brainwashees are saying about the people that were killed and injured.  I mean I am not much for conspiracies, but comon, 16 weapons including fully automatic and hundreds of rounds. I do understand he had money and could have acquired these illegally but for someone to just plan all this for apparently no reason is unrealistic at best.  I just can’t wait for the “story” to come out if it ever does.

What I am left wondering is this:

What is this supposed to draw attention away from?
Will we ever know the truth? I know the answer to that one.
Was this guy a pawn to get rid of Long guns? Full Auto hadn’t been used yet in a massacre of this scale. Are the radicals pulling out all the stops or what!

Bottom line is I am sick about this. It gives me a physical environmental response. I feel so much for the people affected by this. They could have been my kids or my family or friends.

What’s next. What say you?

Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / Eclipse mania
« on: August 20, 2017, 10:18:16 PM »
I dont understand all this hubbub about the solar eclipse tomorrow. I do understand that is hasn't happened in around 100 years and that's cool and all. But why millions of people are converging on cities across the country in the path of this occurrence is a beyond me. Listen Im not activist but the mobilization of this many people for one day for one reason could wipe out the occurrence of starving kids or veterans that need help. Millions of dollars will pour into these cities for hotels, stores and restaurants which will bring about a boom for the local economies, especially in lots of rural ones which is great, but... Just imagine this ONE occurrence in which people are willing to skip work to stare into the sun...all while renting a shipping container with a/c for $3500 a weekend.

I cant help but think how backwards masses can be.

Haven't done one for years, but man...

Absolutely! Same with elk, a bit fatty but amazing in a tin foil roast w carrots potatoes and onions. We sometimes get a chance to shoot a bunch of quail and pheasant and have a great big roast on the weekend. You can't go wrong with that!

I have not smoked anything venison yet. I figured with little to no fat I may as well make jerky out of it.  I have to admit I'm not partial to the straight up gamey taste but I do love deer meat. It's rather plentiful and tastes great in almost any form even spicy sausage. I prepare it in such a way that the meat takes on other flavors because I enjoy all kinds of variations. I absolutely love chicken fried cutlets of deer bathed in buttermilk eggs and flour/bread crumbs. My fav though has to be thick cut loin steaks wrapped in bacon grilled to perfection!  I have however smoked fresh turkey breast and that ain't to bad either. Great. Now I'm headed to the freezer to plan dinner tomorrow..

I used Goslings. It's got a seal on the front.  I find it to be the least "intense" of them. Very easy to drink prob my favorite.  Fever tree is good too.
