Been in the 100's so working on the plumbing some.

Got the sink vented and decided to stay with cpvc, keeping the house the same. Put shut off in the lines for upstairs vs every item. It is in a access panel in the laundry.

Also we had a bad smell coming from the new split system and think it was from the drain that ran into the vent . So got this P trap and plumbed it in (adding a little H20) and siliconed the tube in.

It also gets really hot up the stairway/hall even with insulation so I think an exhaust fan is in order moving the hot air into the main space.

The wrap allows breathing but some homes need more, hence the exchangers. We do it here in cali and our temps go from 30 to 110.

Sure Jarod would know more but you get snow and heat there, sure it is justified somehow.

I still have a little 7gal but am spoiled by my 80gal 2 stage.

And no red flag to boot!

I have the slideout on mine and it sticks out to the tailgate, great for those type loads.

Besides being better on the tailgate it supports the load better and less sticks out unsupported so no flag needed.

6ft beds mean you have to be creative

How did the ridge vent turn out?

Still in progress. Have to drill out another 20 bays yet and get mesh vent. Have the shingles to cover it quick. Been slow with kids out of school.

Only have to run about 2ft to hit the toilet. Pushed the wall back so the vent will be boxed into the corner.

Little 1.5in  for the sink and vent and rough plumbing done.

Firearms / Re: AR15 issues
« on: June 24, 2018, 01:08:14 PM »
Was this issue solved?

Factory ammo would have been the first ting to try, it sounds like it chambered OK. However it sounds like it was to long for the chamber and the lands got stuck as they tried to lock. That would also explain the no contact on the firing pin with the bolt back a little it would not hit square.

Nothing done on the house/room.

Mom got O2 today, she can hardly walk and they gave here a cart to to pull. Was supposed to be a generator she could carry. The Gen is in another room (loud) has a reserve 60gal tank and 2 small tamks. How in the heck is she supposed to pull a cart with a 10lb tank while she uses a walker??? Sure it was there fast, but its like a trailer for a suitcase.

Taking the youth protection for the BSA right now. Worse than the feel good training when I was a deputy.

Plumbers came by and did the underhouse connections. For some reason this just wasn't for me this time.

Bad thing is I found out I have recalled ABS and the line broke upstream when they cut it. I run down and get some new pipe and a slip joint and it was still $250 for just over an hours work.

At least I don't have to go back under there, the garage sink runs better and it won't back up into the bathtub now.

Dave, I was going to ask about the mess in a prior post but didn’t want to offend you. I’ve never worked in construction where that was ok, we had to clean up at the end of every day. It was the same in my shop you cleaned up at end of the day regardless if another shift came in on your area after you.
I can’t stand it, it creates a dangerous work environment, it looks terrible to future customers, the garbage un contained blows away.

It makes me cringe, I have tried and tried to make these guy clean thing but they simply won’t do it.  It’s another reason I am unhappy with who I work with.

It costs about $2 more than normal OSB and you get to write off the whole piece for upgrades. it does its job!

I can see throwing real scraps away, I tend to pile it all until I am done. But that is messy. So what is with the crew showing up when they want? Is that why they hired you to get em rolling?

No issue from me. Wife dinged my LBZ getting coffee about 10 years ago (smashed the bed in on a safety poll). Her car was in the shop from a fender bender  (scary driver sometimes)

Garage fire in 06 and that is it unless you go back another 15 years.

Old agent was a hand me down from a local guy. I have found a local agent and it looks good so far.

Yep, we do about 1000 per day per their meter. I really don't think it is that high. But that is 5 of us and the yard and topping the pool time to time.

Also, I hired a guy to do the underhouse plumbing for the add on. I got down there is a tight spot and had to go farther but I got a weird feeling and wanted out. Never an issue before, guess I am getting old.

Have to go tomorrow AM and requal for my LEO CCW. They make a big deal out of it with a catered lunch and an AR shootoff sometimes. Will do the Sheid 40 and G23 again. Wish they did just gun type vs each one you want to carry. On that I have been eyeing that new SIG365 9mm subcompact. Still a little pricey but 11 rounds I like!
