I am about at the same lift with basically the same geometry. Mine rides OK, but it is a 2500hd with diesel, so more front, well all around weight.

Upper ball joints go bad fast when lifted. Anything past level is not the nest for these IFS front ends. Travel and shocks are the big key for a good ride.

Doesn't roundup go inert when it hits soil?

Yep, this state is getting worse all the time. Law just passed limiting water to 55gal a day in about 5 years (indoor use). 55gal, heck that is a good shower! We average 1000gal a day now for the 5 of us.

Feels like a communist country and not getting better!

I was thinking of that today and wondered about the side door like that.

Actually I contacted a local agent about my account and was told he could save me some $$$ with combined discounts and my LEO training (yep, still counts for a little). We will see where this goes and look at options from there.

Thanks for all the input guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing for sure. Find out now before you get a lot of weight on that corner.

All the slab foundations I have seen are deeper around the edges so that crack is suspicious. Maybe it wasn't reinforced right?

I mentioned the finish earlier, looks unfinished.

As far as I know I am still insured with Farmers, but pricing could be better for sure. They have treated me well when needed.

Anyone have AAA? I have their roadside as the farmers would not even show up when I called last time.

Just got informed my insurance guy does service my auto insurance now. (farmers)

Have had good luck with them but might be time for a change, who likes who?

I have auto, home, life and liability with them now, well someone.

I don't qualify for USAA and thinking of looking at AAA for at least some quotes. Think life would be pricey right no with me turning 60 history, but I want it too.

Shoot me some ideas guys!

Sure, concrete cracks but 5 weeks after pouring?  That looks pushed down on the corner, but I am no expert.

Is that a load bearing corner? Can you put a straight edge on there to see if the corner dropped?

Looks awful rough even for a garage floor.

Last week of school so little is getting done, but some.

Drilled the vent holes out to the roof and there will be 6 vs the 5 I started with.

Wall sheeted and door added. That will be a slider later. Now the house AC will work only enough for this 4x8 hallway. Insulation tomorrow.

A couple pics also show how I put a DRO on it. Pretty simple for around $100 and it works fine.

On the new cabinet the X table now stays over the cabinet less the handle on the right.

Here is a pic of the mill after the fire in '06, only hard part replaced was the motor head.

Next I transferred all the tooling and such from the little cabinet to the new one. Half of this tooling is for my Emco Maximat lathe/mill. This is not the mill I just moved, it is parts of the lathe!

I thin the tooling is worth more than the lathe itself. This is all original Emco stuff from grinders to drill chucks the size of my hand. 4 jaw lathe chuck, rotary table and all kinds of custom tooling.

Here is the cover my buddy made. I think it is 18g and it fits great. I used a drop of silicon on the corners as they are open to the wood.

I have been looking for a wider cabinet for my Wabeco mill. It was a CNC mill and will be again but it needed a better home than the 30in cabinet it was on. I have done a full RnR on this mill after a garage fire, that left it in bad shape and cooked the CNC parts.

So I found a 46in wide x 24 deep Husky cabinet last week. I had also wanted something with drawers vs the shelves for access. Plus at $350 vs the 1000+ I have been seeing it was an easy decision. Siting on the old 32 inch cabinet the tray and X bedway hung off the sides while working.

Had a buddy at scouts make me a galv cover for it that fit great and the youngest and I did the swap today. I already had an attached chip tray that got in the way a little, but we got it.

I need to reconfigure the wheels on my cherry picker as they won't go under the cabinets, but that is for another day.

Started by cleaning it off some and wrapped a lift strap around the motor. This is a tabletop mill but still goes at around 200lb and is solid. We added double tape to tray under just the mill base. Then we centered and dropped it down, using a piece of flooring to get it centered before setting it down. I will then add a silicon bead around the tray keeping the nasty's from under it.

I had to use wood and clamps to hold it as I slid the flooring out. Rear mark was a little off but it was dead on in the front and the rear was flush with the cabinet back so I was happy.

Cat was interested in something in the kitchen. Next thing I know my son says there is a bat in the house! Probably came in when the upstairs was left open over night.

Oldest boy coaxed it into a box but it jumped out when we were going to let it go, wife made a huge issue of it! I did make him put gloves on, they tend to have rabies.

Well, went ahead and did it, drilled some holes for the vents. Beam is just 14x5 so there is a little more room than I thought. Still need to find a wider ridge shingle, may have to make my own as well as the venting itself.

Only did the 1st 3 bays since it will be covered soon with the hallway. Holes are 1.5 to give me an idea on the location both on the shingles and how wide my vent must be. When done I will cover 2 16in vents which one leaks and just can't seem to fix it. Have another leak from a skylight on the other side. The vent ridge will allow both of these to be addressed.

5x1.5in holes give me almost 9sqin so I may do 6 in the rest of the bays for a little over 10sqin. Not quite as much as the 14sqin I get with a slot but it will have to do.

If the injectors have been done on the LB7 and the trans is solid I would think hard on that over 6.0 gas rig. Yep, the HD1500 are a 2500 frame but a lighter 9.5 rear which is not a bad rear for a semi float.

I am leaning towards the holes, say 3 per section. Issue is still the vent material above it as it is designed for cutting a 4in or so slot in the ridge. Then they seal outside that with the cap over that.

So lets say 3-4 holes in each section. Puts the width to seal around 10 inches to be safe. That does not to sound crazy but most venting is made for that narrow center ridge. I was thinking of mesh that I can use wider and found something called smartvent; https://dciproducts.com/smartvent-off-peak-firewall/

So I have some options but need to look more.
