Firearms / Re: Glocks
« on: October 23, 2014, 10:29:47 AM »
Up until recently, i was partial to the Springfield platform, in 45. EDC was the XDs 45, and nightstand/owb belt gun is the XDm 45 with the TLR-4 light laser... Mainly never got into Glocks because, well everyone else was.

Then I shot my buddies G19.

Now I have an OD G19.

Now it is my favorite carry pistol.

Now, well you see where this is going.

Nice... Did you get the BDC reticle in that Nikon? I just bought that scope for my 10/22 tactical, and have yet to get to the range to try it out.

I really am a fan of the Mossberg pump. Here's my 590. 8+1 cap. Magpul stock and foregrip, Elzetta light mount. Next thing i'm going to do is put a saddle, sling, and some better sights... But so far i'm really happy with it.

Edit: this pic was taken right after I put the hardware on... the tac-light is now wayyy further forward, and on the other side of the barrell and tube for easy thumb manipulation since i'm right handed.

Nice to see this back up in progress again! And of course you recovering from the knee operation, that's just awesome.

This is the first build of yours i started following, then went back and caught up start to finish on the duramax... awesome stuff!

Bug-Out Bag and Camping gear / Saw this on Woot
« on: October 20, 2014, 09:58:36 AM »
Could be junk, but what are your thoughts on this kit??

It's kind of a short time thing, not sure if you all are familiar with Woot or not. I know those life-straws are like $20 bucks alone. Seems like a pretty decent kit, has a hammock, shovel, some tools, some food type things... For $150 bucks, seems like something that could be had and then augmented a bit to be a pretty good starter kit. What say you?

Either way, reach out if there's ever anything you/he need(s).

Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / Re: Who is Obama?

I read somewhere that Root's theory is that Obama’s college records are sealed because he attended as a foreign student under his adopted name of Soetero. Of course I don't need to describe the ramifications of that.

Hey thanks guys! I call Puyallup home now, just a bit outside Tacoma.

Don, love the idea for the site. Happy to be here at the beginning and watch it grow.

Lot's going on right now in my life, finishing up graduate school, recently married (1 yr 2 mos), hoping to start construction on our new home/compound coming up here soon. It's a bit of a whirwind life currently, so i'm so happy to be a part of a site like this that is Christian based, and has many of the things i'm so passionate about. I hope I might have some things to contribute too along the way...

So thank you Don, this is great. I bought your book too on my Kindle, and am looking forward to starting it on our next vacation.

God bless,
Kyle
