It was a long night....lol
quick pickles or you fermenting those bad boys?

My guess is bread and butter

Neither tate, they are pressure canned for shelf life.

No bread and butter pickles yet, those were an amish sweet dill.  Bread and butter will be coming later.

Just replaced the #7 glow plug on the LBZ.  I hate these stupid fender liners!

Next factory fuel filter.    I think I have one on the shelf

Took delivery of several new T shirts from Gadsden and Culpepper.  They have a lot of shirts that reflect my style and beliefs.

Here are a few I got.  I work out at a gym in a liberal part of town so it puts a smile on my face to wear camo shorts and these shirts to the gym every day

Well I hope not. So far the free boat coat me $190 in wheel bearings and tires. Going to licence everything next week. Got a free trolling motor out of one if the flood campers we were junking a couple years ago.
Madin voyage will be the last weekend in July. It's a 14 ft Montgomery ward. From the early 70s. It's about as old as me.

Walked the yard tonight to water trees, bushes, plants and things.  Pulled weeds and what not.  Rumor was rain this eve but I think the storm blew over

Almost everywhere does right now Dave.

Got a covid test for a trip to Hawaii. Something tells me this will not be fun but need to keep the kids happy. Airport and 5+ hours on a plane with mask does not excite me.

Not Kentucky!
We should be getting brown and drying up, but the lawns are so wet as to be muddy.
Not wanting to point to doom and gloom, but I'd research the future long term weather predictions.
Most of the western US dries up...Las Vegas becomes the first major city in the US to become abandoned. Over decades, not going to get better, but much worse. More fires, less rain, less mountain snows runoff...Just not good as the planet warms.
Kentucky, and surrounding regions, conversely becomes a garden of Eden and the major bread basket of the US. Gulf flows up the Appalachians drop loads of rain.
Sorry folks, I did not request it.
But,
I did read and study it. And I have wondered about it. With all the sin and inequity in places like Vegas and the commifornia, could it be that God is punishing the region because of it? Conversely, we are having one major revival in Kentucky right now. People flooding in from everywhere. And we have always been a hardcore bible belt area.
Yesterday, I had lunch with the county's managing executive. We discussed future plans for the county. He just came back from Washington. While there he stepped down as President of the US association of counties, where administrators like him meet and share. He said to me, "You have any idea what an oasis we have here from all the evil surrounding us?" I do know, and will continue to work with him and others to keep it that way.

Agree with you on the fact that we are an oasis., Don. Heck, my daughter works at a local restaurant that took on the state and never shut down their indoor dining and never enforced masking inside either. They were sued, threatened by the state, even the owner was threatened with jail time. They stayed open. Never a nexus of COVID infection and the employees always had a paycheck.   I like my insulated little area at home.

Water out here is not the issue, its storing it. We need to store better. Since the 70s when the last reservoir was built, pop is up 50%. Several new reservoirs that where scheduled to be build were giving up on with all the lawsuits and others permits expired because of the same. Snowpack is used a reservoir, but we have so little control on that.

Report said that over 50% is let out to sea, 40% is industrial/Ag use and less than 5% is consumer. But guess who gets hit with saving and paying when supply is short.

JR, easy to say we need more dams, but whose land goes underwater to provide the storage? Give it a few years, the way people are leaving the state the water issue could possibly take care of itself. Now the farmer problems run deeper than just water. If you listen to that group they could make more doing laborers jobs.

They are trying to implement a 55gal use for us now.

Dams were planned years ago, they just get held up in court.

So what do you do when you have made enough zucchini bread to last you a year, but still have zucchini and summer squash coming out your ears?

Cut the end off, split them in half, scoop out the seeds.

Dice them up and put them in the dehydrator

We did bob, 1 zucchini plant and 1 summer squash plant. We changed up the cucumbers this year to ones better suited for canning pickles instead of the long dark green multi purpose ones like last year. One draw back with cucumbers is that they thrive on competition. So if you plant just 1 cucumber plant it wont do very well, and if you plant 2 you will have an abundance.

Just kidding around with you.

But I did get one of these. Talk about handy. Just wish it had a larger capacity (9") and was cheaper.

Man I'm addicted to the flexvolt stuff. I probably should seek help .

You are welcome to give me an excuse to not work for a week and I’ll ride up to the place and help out.  Let me know you can use my grinder even lol

Doesn’t sound like a bad view.

Picked up 200 projectiles at Academy for 45 acp.  Just stopped in to see if they had any 40 cal defense ammo, but they didnt.  They were putting out some 9mm JHP but at $1 round, no thanks

The 200 projectiles I picked up were Hornady XTP JHP 230 grain so I can load some more 45 at least.

Got the full sizing die to remove the glock smile on my 40s so I’ll load a few 100 180 Hornady XTPs instead of searching for them.

I'm taking a few courses here at scout camp also. NRA sanctioned home firearms class. I understand gun safety but I still take classes now and then just because. Also taking an outdoor leadership class. 6 of us in that class were all first year scout leaders that got kind of railroaded into it. I am the most fortunate that I still have the last leader to fall back on for help.

WDYDT (What Did You Do Today)

Well.
Today I started.

Man this truck leaked some. Everything is dirty.

Even gettin the fan clutch was dirty. Cost me two big Klein flat tips before I went to heat. Heat gun on high. Had a beer while it cooked. Smacked with screwdriver like on YouTube. I don’t have the proper spanner and wrench. Crescent ratchet strap heat and beat. Off it came.

Most of the extra parts are off.
A bit of wiring harness. Starter, trans and motor mounts. Should be ready to pull at COB tomorrow.

Did I mention this thing is dirty.

Question for anyone who knows.
The AC connectors are just that correct?
Won’t be so lucky to have a valve in then so a guy could remove the condenser.

I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

No valve. You’ll lose your refrigerant.

Pulling the engine?

If you have a air chisel, that has worked well for me.
