Yep, lots has changed with the upper leadership going PC. Loosing lots of sponsors because of it, boys not joining or dropping out.

Boys are boys, girls are girls.

Very proud of our cub scout pack. Once a year we volunteer at the local food bank. Our scouts collected enough food for each family that came though to get 45 items.

Pictured is the trailer full of supplies they collected and delivered a few weeks ago to flood victims. My boy is all the way to the right in the blue shirt.

Nice work, our Troop did the same a few weeks back.

Bumper looks great, like to see the winch idea you have.

On the isolated battery, why not use a relay that works that energizes when the engine is running? Nothing to forget to switch on/off and maybe a little led showing it is charging?
Actually all he needs is a battery isolator.  It’s automatic.  Will allow it to charge but not drain the primary. Essentially it’s just a big diode

????????????

Under the deck to the frame is 18.5, so 18in gives me a little overhang. About 36 under the deck, so I want some ground clearance.

Just a bin on the side of the frame. Looks like I have about 18in to the frame.

I am also thinking of attaching a 6k winch I have sitting here. Think that will come in handy time to time, but I want a bolt on mount. Trailer has a built in 12v charger and a little solar unit. The tilt has 2 rams and locks down.

The tongue box has the hydo system and a Costco soap bucket fits in there great. So it holds a few straps and bungee's. Now I need a place for the chains, binders and blocks.

Just the wrong color, and I will not wear a hard hat (head is hard enough)

So heading up to Reno next week with the family. Going to sign all the stuff, let them look at the land and thinking of dropping the toy off at the local dealer for a once over. Will let me park the trailer while I am there, service is backed up a couple weeks. They said around 4-500 for the service. Sound about right guys?

Buy that time I should have a better idea of what I want do out there. Tractor will be waiting and I can drag the trailer back and forth pretty easy.

I also need a storage bin on the trailer. Do the prices at TSC seem about right.

I agree, for getting up to a light I understand. But splitting at freeway speeds is stupid. I do believe traffic has to be going under 25 for it to be legal, but how would you get to them. Darwin has a place here. Leaving the scene is just a misdemeanor.

Yes I have a dash cam, still sitting in the box.  :embarrassed:

Ok, its a 2012 L45.

So, does this tractor make my but look fat  :beercheers:

The trailer pulled great. Got 17.8 mpg going down, but fought the wind and traffic on the way home. Still got 15mpg, it felt heavy and you could feel the wind. Lower gears will help.

Anyway, the Kubota was listed for 27.5k. After I drove it around, tested what I could and was satisfied I asked his price (told him there was a lot of lipstick on it) But all the pins where tight, no oil leaks, good hoses (I did find a little seal leak on the right front knuckle when I got home.

He goes, 26.5, I say 24, he says 25.5, then goes heck, make it 25 (my target price and what was in my pocket) and it was done. 10 min to load and off I go.

A Harley hit me splitting traffic. I was in the #2 and it was all backed up near the Sunol Grade. 2 HD came by and it was tight with const in the area.

Second bike goes by and I hear a wack, bang and he skidding sideways, almost lost it. Of course they did not stop, but I pulled over the check for damage.

All I saw was a rub on my left front tire. I think his saddleback hit the step and he turned in and bounced off the tire.

I really have to get my HD bumper on there!

Yep, there is a little lipstick on it, but sound. Starts easy, no blue smoke and it is setup for a thumb.

In traffic in San Jose and a HD just bounced off the front left. Just a rub on the tire after stopping (he didn't), think he is much worse.

looking great Jr.......how soon you moving?

Not planned to be real soon, although I am ready. It will be a 2-3 years plan at least unless I am pushed harder by Ca. Kids still in school, several years on that.

Nice little tractor Ken. I could have gone smaller I guess but I have a lot of work to do there.

If I get this one today it does have the quick release bucket and I would like forks. Auger and scraper first though. Got some shade on this puppy too, can you say LED lights.

Trailer specs, 14k GVW/10k load. 22ft deck (28ft overall), led lighting, tilt bed, spare, slide rail with D rings on the sides (some are on top) and 5 year reg (one ca got right).

Going to look at the tractor tomorrow, about a 3-4hr drive one way. 2012 Kubota L45, 45hp, HST and about the same price I see listed for back east.

Been checking prices and think I am really good here, plus a private sale.

Talked with the dealer up in Reno about about value (will be my local dealer). They said it was a little high until I mentioned the backhoe. With that the value is good.

So with driving a little, I may get a better tractor, newer and it has a better backhoe. Almost 10k less

Interested yes, but not sure if I want a 45k loan right now. Between you and TRN it might be fun. Shipping could be the killer.

If I get new, it is about 45k, less tax. Via any dealer, they charge sales tax per the state it goes too. 8.25 both here and NV.

Dealer hear said no tax if I show a bill of lading out of state.

I am having a heck of a time finding storage for the trailer! Everyone is full or overpriced.

( I typed all this at 0700 and forgot to post)

Meet in Reno!!!

More of a logistics game now. We all go up to see it next week and have a couple days in Reno.
