What truck manufacturer do you like? What sort of engine, gasser or oil burner?

That's tough for me as I'm not a brand follower type person. I like and dislike aspects of all brands and etc. But I do like trucks, 4x4.

I prefer Dodge trucks 93 or older. I prefer the Cummins for most "work" type situations but our 93 Club Cab 360 Magnum truck has been a reliable performer, and at 16mpg is actually fairly economical for a 3/4t pickup.

Regardless of brand, I like trucks that are built not bought, so that's how we roll out here in the land of corn.

Always considered myself a Ford guy.  I woke up last Friday and realized I now own three Chrysler products.  How'd that happen?

Always have been a GM guy, still like them. 1 one has over 400k on it (305) and the 2500 sub has over 200k.

Had a 77 I sold in 2007 after I started a family and had a house fire. Have an 87, two 91's, 06 and a 2013 (wife unit) now.

Dad had fords, Datsun, Chrysler and mom has a Camry, go figure.

I've had Chevy/GMC & Dodge stuff and liked most all of them, some had "flaws" but decent for the most part.

Owned two Fords (slow learner) and tolerated them- got from point a to b, but hated the interiors, mechanicals etc.  The only Ford I "might" enjoy the interior of is a King Ranch P/U with the saddle leather seats, but their Diesel motors are best suited as anchors IMO.

I would have to say, I've become smitten with the Square Dodges due to the builds going on here- had a friend who had a pristine, late 80's 360 - 2 door 4x4 Dodge that was similar to the full size Chevy Blazer, can't remember what the model name was, but it was a nice truck to ride in going deer hunting.

Have to say, I like my Duramax best, as long as the world stays EMP free!  After that, I'll have to steal a horse.....

After driving "twin I beam" vans for many years, I hate them!! Maybe the vans are diff but they never tract straight and always needed rebuilding.

Im a GM guy.  Owned a 95 f150 twin I beam (new)and that thing skated in the turns when the front would hit bumps.

The GM IFS is the best IMO for all around use.  I'm partial to my 2001 LB7

I do admit if I liked trading trucks often I would probably try the new Furd and Ram
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

I was being facetious... Knew that'd get you guys going! Next I'll talk about how great the 350 diesel conversion was!

Still loved that truck!

If it doesn't have spark plugs I'm a fan, mostly of the cummins variety though.

Not one vote for a gasser!

I figured that there'd be one 22R Toyota holdout, out there
