Not bad.  I like that the author doesn't use big words and there are some pictures in there.  ;-)

Let us know which chapter you like best.

Chapter 5...isn't that the one where I compare a helicopter to a woman? The ladies like that one...

I seem to recall reading a section saying that the heater must have, at one point, inherited some of her (the chinooks) crankiness, and would work when it was 65, but not when it was actually cold!

And then something about frozen gunners haha

I also remember a follow-up that involved a "snow" storm.....

God rest their souls!
I sincerely hope their families are well. Must have been awful for them, I'm so sorry. These guys were all right. Here's the two back seaters taken from the front seat of that MI-26, me in the captains seat and the exact aircraft lost on that cold day. These pics were from the preceding summer when I first met them on that escort mission down to "TK"

You can find the definition of a helicopter cabin heater under the definition of "Oxymoron"

I know I'd be interested in one! Loving it so far Don. I love how it's not just a collection of facts, but your own thoughts and feelings about things, and your personal experiences, both from a military perspective and as a family man.

I'm currently on Chapter 9 or 10. Purchased the book last month, and have been reading it during my sauna sessions after working out. A really good read, Don! It was a shame about the Ruskies.

Thanks...

Yea, a shame about a lot of good men and women over there...

Worst yet is how our commander in chief disrespects our effort and our people...Not an American in my book!

Being an AD guy, I'll invoke my 5th Amendment Right on this topic.  :'(
