That's awesome. I was enamored with that aircraft as a kid after I saw the movie D.A.R.Y.L. rolls royce engines to spool up the turbines, leaking fuel before takeoff, designed w/ slide rulers and pen and paper in the 60's. Man that was cool.

little info for you, the sr-71 had a large part of it developed at WSMR in a secret and controlled area.  I know one of the guys that worked on it personally.

I would venture to guess that the sr-71 was a BIG part of the fantasy development of dale brown and a bunch of his books.
