One of the hardest things I have ever done was to quit smoking. I have to say though a good cigar sounds really good.

Ahh. Cigars. I was really into those at one time. Clubs, private parties with the manufactures.

Now about once a year when I drink too much Scotch. Then I feel like I need to shave my tongue the next morning.

The Cuban Partagas no7 ranks as my favorite of all time. Maybe it was sitting on a boat in the caymans that made it so good but it was awesome.

I favor a robusto. Shorter but large ring gauge.

Romeo y Juleta is a good go to cigar

Also try the AVO XO Intermezzo Robusto

https://www.cigarsinternational.com/p/avo-xo-cigars/1489974/

Arturo Fuente short story

https://www.famous-smoke.com/arturo-fuente-hemingway-short-story-cigars-natural

Macanudo gold for a milder smoke

http://macanudo.com/cigars/macanudo-gold-label/

I could go on....

I’ll second all that Charles has mentioned.
Also found some good no names that are being made for the big stores.
But you have to be in the markets that make for said shops.
Get a much more beuno deal from the maker.

Ah but alas. I quit smoking very nearly three years ago now.
Still won’t trust myself with a cigar.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

I wouldn’t say I have an addictive personality but I do like a smoke now and again, never finish a pack and usually the verbal beating from the wife keeps me off for a while

I replaced a fan in our master bed room.  No matter what I did I couldn’t get it to level out.  So. Replaced it with a better quality fan and it’s so nice !!

Can wait to go to sleep without the verberation of that crap fan

Otherwise did some household cleaning so the week goes a bit smoother being Mr Mom

Started at cleaning the garage. Again.
Made a bit of headway. So that was good.
Got to the reloading corner and in order to clean up had to roll a few rounds
455 45acp and 407 9mm. Yeah random I know. Part of cleaning is finding random bullets here and there.
Now it’s nearly midnight and I still have one &$)@ Of a mess in my garage.
I can walk on the floor some so I did make a bit of gain.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

When we built the back closet I only allowed 6  ft of shelf space for my canning and supplies. After my mother in law moved in we quickly ran out of space. Spent we are on the 3rd day of pulling everything out and rearrange and get rid of stuff. Now we have 22 ft.

Well daylight I began a tire rotation and installed bilsteins on the Bus. Some jack wagon used an impact to put the bolts in the shocks last time and crushed the rear mounts......that would be me. Fought to get the open enough for the bilsteins. Lots of hammer and pry bar action.

Makes a big difference

Then put 65 gallons of diesel in it.

Then made sauce out of all the ripe habaneros I got from the garden. 45 habeneros. I’ll post the recipe under food section

So easy to stay busy when retired. I have more projects than I ever had and less time!

And the garage never got cleaned, but started again several times.

Well the young guys on the phone interview Did ask where I see myself. I struggled not to laugh because we talked about it.    I told them on the floor or in a cubical and that I didn’t have a glass globe to see that far in the future,  had they asked if I thought I would ever apply back at this company again when I left the first time I would have said no also.

All in all basic kid questions

What are your strengths,
What do you see as a weakness,
What do you bring to the table that others do not,
Will you work extended hours when required,
What do you consider later to work?

Really basic stuff

Funny when you turn it back on them,  what do you need from an employee and why did you view my application lol. They stumbled to not answer lol

While the kiddos were off at school I disassembled the exhaust on the Yamaha banshee and polished it all,  amazing what a good chrome finish will do vs what that cheapo China junk our pickup wheels have on them now days

Also did some shrink wrapping to form a cable around the clutch cable

Now waiting for fuel line to install on the carburetor before I connect it back up

Did you cut it into the bumper or what?

Well as far as my minimal experience goes with interviews I’d say it didn’t go well, my attitude is to matter of fact when it comes to someone questioning why I didn’t finish my degree. anything past writing and Math, the how to’s of a task really don’t get taught in school per say.
Time will tell

Picked up a new pair of sawhorses for my birthday, I’ve been using a cheap plastic pair that I bought 18 years ago in Belgium.  Found this pair for less than half retail price because they had a small dent in one of them. Already fixed the dent. They seem pretty substantial and very stable.

I have similar stands from Lowe's. Really sturdy and the 2x4 holders make a stable platform.

Dave. I just cut off the GM holder and screwed the new one right to the mount.

I’m thinking with your budget wheel spacers are out, maybe some 1.25” diameter chit pipe to length one side and leave axle shaft out. Slap some flex seal in the tube and send you on your way......

I finished a water heater tank instal in grandmas house today, will carry out the old tank another day,  picked up an older air compressor that build air pressure but won’t shut off and won’t hold the pressure of builds.  Not sure what it could be but will futz with it anyways

Also picked up a few bottles of holiday cheer,  there has become a Crown Royal shortage here in this area so I bought a few shelf bottles of that as well

Check valve on inlet line to the tank is probably stuck open
