Hello Guest

Poll

Will Big D get his CumminGs running before Ken gets the Onan genset built and running?

Possibly, after he get's up from his nap.
3 (21.4%)
Big D comes up with another lame excuse .."I don't have any diesel"
4 (28.6%)
Doubtful. They are both Cummins so neither one will probably ever run.
0 (0%)
Who cares?
3 (21.4%)
Ken's younger, has much more stamina, so he will be first.

Should I ban him, or just fire him outright, then spread salt on his old posts?

I feel that I have to step in and offer a little support for don.  he does after all have quite a few irons in the fire at this moment.

by the way, whats wrong with a nap?  sounds to me like somebody is jealous because they dont get to take naps.  besides don needs his daily W.O.M.A.N. (warrant officers mandatory afternoon nap) in order to keep up with all those youngins around him.

I did, and frankly I was off doing other stuff when all this "Start it up business started. Well I started to get interested in getting it done, and now I want to just shove some fuel in the tank, crank it over and see what happens next. Heck might get another engine repair out of the deal. Big bore...stroker...4-valve head...twins... maybe even weld two 6BT's together just in case I ever need 3,000 ft lbs of torque!

Detroit did that with the V71 engines. Stuck 2 V8 together to get the V16. No reason it won't work here with a little redneck ingenuity. At least it would be fun to watch.

Good sport, but not necessarily not very good at sports ;-))

You callin all those earlier power tool scars, the ones I taped up, disfigurements" I think of them as battle scars, Except the battle was against rust and not Al Qaeda!

Two thoughts

First having dirt kicked on ya is not necessarily a bad thing

As far as a moving target, and grunt guys check me on this, but when helicopter people would get into a firefight with haji, the runners, we called them "squirters," always got shot first.

"dirt" as in 6 feet under and people piling dirt on me.

Squirter or not, they're harder to hit when moving.  Using a 20 or 30mm cannon and FLIR at a 1 miles standoff is kinda not fair....

I suggest the fall when the weather is more tolerable.  Firewood, fire pit, some lawn chairs, and a nip of Old No. 7
