"I golfed a little bit when I was in the Army and in my last two years in the Army I started picking it up quite a bit more,” Nate Meyer, a U.S. Army veteran, said. “In the three years that I've been out I've played it on and off for quite a bit. I'd be a scratch golfer had I joined the Air Force"

Fixed it for you Nate

Did you hire it made? I might have to disassemble a hoodie for pattern and try to make one.

Black rifle coffee company has one, but I ordered mine from :

A woobie hoodie.....

Yes it's amazing.
So, yea, back in the day, about two hundred years ago, when i was a Tanker, we would take a rubber issued Armee rain jacket and have a wool blanket, the Armee thing sewed on the inside. That was our "Field" jacket because in europe in the winter it is always raining or snowing or both. The wool keeps you warm even when wet.

I didn’t get any pictures of it but here’s some screen grabs from a news article. Since a city vehicle was involved they had a contractor out there surveying the scene with a drone. He is supposed to send me some footage from it and if he does I should have some better pictures.

too cool JR,

Dave I have rented the gas powered ones but that one is unique as it works on a small compressor.  Usually they require a huge compressor to run the air operated ones.

I approve Ken. . Since daughter had a football game last night I got up 04:30 and headed to the hide to mow and trim and blow off the porches and such.

Work mostly out of the way now.

Was planting various trees, shrubs and vegetation in our backyard at 6 am with my better half.

Mostly clay and due to my overuse of 4” perforated tile on the exterior perimeter of the property and the one swale running the low point across middle of backyard that clay might as well have been solid rock for the most part. By ten am I was completely drenched with jeans on looking as if I pissed myself. Around this time it was heating up so we called it a day.

Same thing tomorrow morning and should have that portion finished. Next comes drip feeds and mulch then to finish stone patio.

Worked outside most of the day on the yard and boat project. Came inside and was told that we needed to drive to the city 70 miles) to get a new washer, dryer and refrigerator. Spencer more money than I wanted but it made the wife happy. Now for a little rant. My wife is in charge of the county drug court among other special programs and I have been a cop along with a NCO in the military. The state has approved the use of "medical pot" I'm not a big fan. I took the wife to dinner at Olive Garden  and the waiter that showed up to out table smells of pot, pupils are wide open. Very slow service and very strange, he felt the need to show us how flex straws work. What the heck, big mistake Oklahoma with making that crap legal.

Hate that crap. What most don't realize is recreational use means in the home, not on the street or driving.

People smell like crud and I have talked to neighbors telling them I don't appreciate it when it comes into my home. (moved now)

On another note, cleanup has started with my friends dump trailer here. Hoping for just 2 loads.

Did an overnight with scouts at an indoor climbing facility in Davis. Adults slept about half of it, boys maybe 1-2 hours.

You cut off some tree!!

I get a blast of sunlight in my room in the am. About 6:00. That’s fine and dandy during the week. However not so much when I want to sleep till seven on the days I don’t work

So. I built me some window covers which should also keep my room much cooler during the day

Also while playing with the thermo camera I found a heat/ac register that was covered up and lost during floor install

The flip side, we have a neighbor with a daughter (8 I believe) who has cerebral palsy (fairly severe) whom has seizures frequently. In their old state she was on quite a few heavy prescriptions, she isn’t here. The medical Mary Jane does the same thing without all the harmful side affects.

OK, so some pictures. First one isn't really relative but I saw it and thought of Charles. Maybe it was the red hat or the big truck idk...

So our local tree farm has a tree sale every year. My back yard I have been working on it seems non stop since we moved in. Finally got to the vegetation planting stage and the better half has helped the last two days plant all of this. Tomorrow is drip feeds and mulch, oh so close! On another note she recently applied to get into a Doctorate program and was accepted. Today is her first real day of school again. Yes, she is certifiable...…

Now onto the yard pics!

Looks good Shawn.

What’s the material you are using for edging?

I’m assuming you can’t put privacy fencing?

Thanks Charles!

No privacy fence, so our theory is more trees and shrubs etc. This is just a start really, the fence you see is only option. I didn’t pay for any of it so I guess that is a plus?

Edging is large rocks against smaller ones, 4” and 6” steel galvanized 10’ long pieces and then some HD special plastic no dig stuff. Then the Lyons red stone from Lyons co quarry I buy direct (retaining wall / patio). So it’s a mixture of sorts

Sand and gravel place where we buy all things landscaping. They sell it and the wire pins to keep it somewhat vertical. Raised flower beds are northern tool, kinda flimsy but I have them set down 4” in crushed gravel around outside and I think they will be ok. Yes, they are galvanized too. Think I paid $100 each last spring for them and as a member get free shipping.

Also worth noting, all of the yard material has been trekked in by wheel barrow by me. Last I checked I’m down 15# this summer. I cancelled my gym membership two months ago. So it’s been a good labor of love as my wife puts it. I’ve kept all receipts and plan on tallying up the total tonnage sometime later this year. I do know I’ve brought in 8 tons of sand for patio and probably need a bit more yet. Red stone is 3 ton, cinder block for fire place was over 70 blocks, bags of 80# crete, mortar and stucco is north of 70 bags now. Used 30 just in base for fireplace foundation.
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

I put together a block bbq/party, almost every bit of food dissapeared, good company and good conversation for all.

That's a good look for you Nate!

Whats Bludawg style?
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Looks like fun times Nate. Love the hat.

Neighbors had a meet up in our normal spot. Pretty hot and dusty until yesterday then all heck broke loose.
Our camp was a little larger than I like but I still enjoyed it. 7 RVs, 6 Rangers, a RZR, and a general.
Yesterday we added 2 more generals, 3 can am go-fast models, and another ranger on a trip to the swimming hole... Noticed the sky getting dark while we were in the bottom of a canyon 20 miles from camp. Only me and 1 other old guy got out of there before it hit. Others were fording 3' deep creeks trying to get out and 2 of the canams had to be towed out.
There was 4" of unmelted hail in town when we came home.
