I have 110’ inside the gate for anyone who needs a spot.  No mulch yet for Don but lll work on that next spring

Tex just doing gravel on this side of the yard.  It seems to be the least amount of $ for the side of the pad that usually seems less traffic.

I usually have my fitness trailer on this side of the yard and my stuff on the other by my garage.

Five gallon bucket aught to do.

Or you can haul me a rock from the pond,

The boys started collecting rocks from our trips
So I have a 1.5’ sand stone red rock boulder, I have 1.5’ish lava rock, we have geode similar size

So you can add to the beat places rock garden

Washed the wife’s beater this morning with some help from the oldest who’s learning to drive in it.

That was after they arrived last night with the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. VSA check system light on. Cruise control not working. Brake lights stuck on.

Started Google fu investigating and found out that there was a disintegrated rubber stopper on the pedal assembly where it contacts the brake light switch. Once it fails the brake light switch won’t deactivate.

$8 at O’Reilly and contorting my fat arse under the dash for 20 minutes and it’s fixed.

Well. Today was dock day. Early this year.
Leaving to go deer hunting on Friday or Saturday so this is it for the fall I’d say.

That looks cold as heck but it wasn’t so bad. 25 or so and snowing.

A little over four and a half miles an hour. So about an hour trip today. That’s about as fast as you can push a 40 x 8 x 3 foot brick through water.

And a bit of heavy snow. Glad it’s done. More repairs in the spring. My pole spots keep getting beat off by the fall storms. Not sure how I’m fixing this time.

No problem Dave,  Depends on what you want to do but the new Dillon 750 is a pretty sweet rig.  It replaced the 650 which is what I have.  For precision work I prefer the Forster Co-Ax single stage press

Don, that’s the small bin and it’s mixed Mil once fired.   I have a bin with about twice that which is all Lake City.

The mixed headstamps are going to be range rounds and I keep the Lake City for the shtf stuff I put away for a rainy day....

I have no experiance with a progressive.  I have had a couple single stages now and the Forster is what I use for sizing and seating bullets.  The new MEC is very similar nice also.  If you really want precision you can check out AREA 419's new press.

There are only so many rounds one may need, however there are things that become a very valuable barter commodity in a post apocalyptic world.  Ammo is one, food is another, amongst other things.

“There are only so many rounds one might need......”. Unfortunately, there is no way to know ahead of time what that exact number might be. I agree with the idea of ammo being valuable barter material. I don’t drink coffee, but have “some “ socked away as I feel that would make a decent batter item in post apocalyptic scenario as well.

I agree, having a bunch of food (especially if people know) and no guns would not end well.

Also, at least one “reach out and touch you” long gun that you can shoot well. He who gets shot first loses.

Good job Matt!

As for ammo, I hear that once you cross the 100k round mark you are pretty much covered.....

For me it’s more about teaching the kids to load mags at this point...

Loaded 500 rounds between conference calls today. Went with a mild load for practice 25g of H335 under 55gn Sierra fmjbt w cannelure

Did you happen to notice the difference in how civilians handle some injuries and how we were trained to in the Armee?

When I teach any of this, nothing official mind you, more just a sharing thing, I tell people not to ever loosen a tourniquet. Worked over there, should work here.

When we did the CPR, they didn't even let us take our masks off.  Basic first aid is so much more than this feel good class that we are required to pay for every 2 years.

Can't imagine these folks giving each other IVs.

Oh. I didn’t say I had 100k. Didn’t say I didn’t either

And being able to reach out and touch someone from a long way off is important. Assuming you live in an open area

Left the gun range after a board meeting last night and the CEL was flashing and the traction control light lit up.  Drove home from the range and to work this morning like that.  Sometimes the CEL will go out/stop flashing if I stop for a bit or roll slowly through a parking lot etc.. with no acceleration.  Did a little research and it looks like it could be a wide range of issues.  Scanned it and got a P0301 code stating Cylinder 1 misfire detected and P050D Cold start rough idle.

2014 Silverado with about 140000 miles on it.  Thinking I might start with replacing the plugs and wire tomorrow.  I've never done it and have no reason to believe the previous owner did.  Any other thoughts on what I should check out?

Sounds like you're losing an injector, but tune-up is the logical place to start.
... and start throwing heavy doses of injector cleaner through it.
...or use the cleaner first to keep from staining the new plugs.

Traded the skid loader off on a Kubota 75. I didn't really want to spend that kind of money but I kind of got out voted. The one we have an under powered piece of junk case. I hate it. I wont run it I dont even want to look at it. When the idea was brought up to trade it off I was all for getting rid of it but I dont think we need a skid loader at all. I did drive the Kubota and found it is very roomy and it seems to ride good and have good power. Its big enough to move round bales so I guess thats a plus. I'm still skeptical. That how much I hated that last machine. It ruined me on skid loaders. Pics to follow when its delivered.

Been eyeballing one of these for awhile now. Even had some HD gift cards I had been collecting but couldn’t bring myself to pay what they wanted.

So fast forward to last night. Being a tractor supply club member they send a 10% off coupon out every couple months. Mine was about to expire and last night I jumped on their website to find this unit on sale. After applying 10% coupon it was $195 so I ordered it, they took my money then cancelled order about a half hour later.

So this morning I went to the store 2 miles from my house where I pickup online orders. Told the manager what happened and they made it right, gave me 15% off so I walked out with it for $185 and some change. How cool is that?

Amazon has them for $230 currently for a comparison and hd wants even more.

I picked an air powered one, but that 20v would be nice. Like you the price is hard to swallow.

Air would hsve been ok in my shop but another charger, extra battery I can grab for other tools and some Tupperware were hard to pass up.

Nice gun. Way faster than air. I personally like the Milwaukee better but didn't have any issues with the dewalt one. Took it to Idaho tho... hope it's still there. Where did you get that again?

Yesterday helped a buddy buck some downed trees. We piled them up and lit them up in three huge piles.  After I left he texted about 11pm that the FD showed up. Apparently deed restrictions say no burning at night and no burning anything over 6 inches in diameter.

Welcome to the neighborhood. Lol

This morning got up and had some Black Rifle Coffee Company coffee and then loaded up 1000 rounds of 5.56 for practice

I unloaded the tractor and filled the deer feeders with corn and then loaded three big sections of white oak logs into the trailer that I’m taking to the mill for some 4x10 x8ft boards that I plan to make a big farm table from.

Then I put some aquatic herbicide in the pond as the weeds have gotten a little thick.

Then hung a gutter on the outdoor kitchen before it started misting.

Now about to take the youngest to CVS for a COVID test. She’s been complaining of a sore throat and a fever so I guess we’ll see if she has the Wuhan China Virus

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
